Bill makes a great point: civility does come from the top down.
His examples are spot on.
I had the same feeling about the multi-cultural staff at the Long Beach Chick-fil-A as he did about the one in Los Angeles.
Here in Utah, they do an even more brisk business every day.
So, the cars line up outside and RUNNERS come up, take your order (hand you a menu) and RUN back inside.
They RUN up to your car and tell you the exact price.
You give them the money, they RUN and bring back the exact change.
By that time you are at the window where your order is already there.
And off you go.
Your car never idols, it is moving forward the whole time.
Amazing.
