MSNBC has used the ploy effectively by allowing the racist Al Sharpton his platform.
Jehmu Greene, a paid political contributor for Fox, was allowed to racially insult Tucker Carlson in a news discussion about Elizabeth Warren’s use of a dubious genetic connection to Native American heritage for placement and tenure at Harvard’s School of Law.
Is Fox seeking to create the sensationalism that Al Sharpton provides with his racist diatribes on MSNBC.

If you resent this blatant racism by the smug racist Jehmu Greene, it is imperative to email Fox and demand the firing of Greene and to insist that they purge the network of all racists. We Conservative have been labeled as racists for four years with little or no provocation for these insults. We must let Fox know we refuse to to listen to racist rants by racist provocateurs like Jehmu Greene and that the Fox viewer has higher standards that we must prescribe to; especially, under the present situation of continual charges of racism being hurled about by the Leftist propaganda bureaus and our government.

I agree with drjohn. Jehmu doesn’t fit that bill. She’s not attractive, and certainly not intelligent after throwing a racial slur.
Smokey and Doc, beauty is a relative term; there is beauty in physical appearance, but more important there is beauty in demeanor and personality. People can have a slip of the tongue and make an “off color” remark by accident. Usually, they realize their mistake and apologize, and all is forgiven over time. Jehmu insists that her remark is not racial or like Holder and Obama, she is entitled to her racism. This reverse racism has become an accepted part of the national dialogue because of defiant racism that she and Sharpton, Wright, and Farrakhan and others can use with impunity. It is wrong and unless we call them on it, we will be expected to endure it in the future.
I quit watching (and paying for) Fox News six months ago. I called up Dish Network and reverted to a basic plan without Fox. I have ROKU and Amazon Prime now, and don’t really need live TV any more. I mean really, if I wanted to watch leftist commentators like Bob Beckel, Juan Williams, and Jehmu Greene, I’d watch MSNBC or CNN.

Megyn apologized just before the end of the show. She wasn’t sure she heard it right, but admonished Greene on air.

This is ludicrous. I don’t expect that FOX News had any idea whatsoever that a racial slur was going to be thrown out by Jehmu, (who has been on FOX many times as a Democratic commentator with out interjecting such slurs,) any more that the Super Bowl executives expected Janet Jackson’s “wardrobe malfunction”. Sometimes, things just get past the time delay. I was watching that segment at the time and it was so quick that I didn’t catch what Jehmu said the first time I heard it.
Now, had the guest been someone well known to make such slurs, you can be sure that they would have had a ready person on the delay “bleeper”
Ditto, there is a two-second delay, with a human hand on the button. Bow tying White Boy is a unique and perhaps new racial slur to most of us. Maybe it was an original invention by Jehmu, Fox realized the need to apologize: Jehmu refused to apologize. Now let’s reverse the roles and imagine Tucker Carlson lost his temper and called Jehmu a bow tying Black Girl.
If you are saying to yourself, then it becomes a totally different issue, you are being prejudicial and applying different standards. You are willing to allow racism from the Black Race, while being hyper-critical of the White race.

I agree completely. I do however think that Jehmu’s racist comment caught the control room staff unprepared and that they simply were not exactly sure what she said until they were able to play it back. Were I on the FAX management staff, I would read her the riot act and refuse to allow her on the air ever again until she apologized to Tucker and the FOX viewers. After that I would issue a standard ruling (like they have to do with some of the other arrogant, profanity spouting guests) and be hair trigger ready to “bleep” the “Bleep”.

FOX is not on “our” side, as some wish, and it has not “betrayed” us, as others claim. It is a 24/7 news as soap opera designed to grab your attention and keep you tuned in, just like every other “news” outlet, no better no worse.

When Rupert Murdoch turned FoxNews, and the American Fox corporation, over to Roger Ailes, Ailes said that he wanted to make Fox more like CNN. Guess that is why Fox is now hiring more and more racist Democrats to fill slots.
I was through with Sean Hannity during the last presidential campaign. He is good friends with Bob Beckel (research that slugs history of drugs/alcohol/hookers) and allows Beckel to say things that no one should be allowed to say. During the last Tennesse Republican primary, Beckel call “Tennesseans” nothing but a “bunch of red-necked crackers”. I contact Hannity’s show and told him I was done with him, and Beckel. But Beckel was rewarded for all the obscene things he has said about conservatives, and Southerners, with a slot on Five at Five. i.e. Ailes gave him a promotion.
Green should be publically fired by Fox for such a comment. But she won’t be. She will probably be rewarded with her own show, or at least a co-host position.
Most of us wouldn’t mind being 50 years younger and it takes skill to tie a real bow tie. I can tie a diamond over a pack horse or a picket a horse with a bowline under a front fetlock, I can tie a damn good Windsor thanks to the Corps, but I have never learned to tie a bow tie like James Bond or Groucho Marx. Perhaps being able to tie a bow tie is like the N word in the ghetto; you can be proud of the distinction at home but it is an offensive remark away from your own people, you know like Holder and “His People”.
If I took the time to learn to tie the bow tie, and since I only have an occasion to wear one every fifty years or so and would probably need to teach myself over again, it might actually be a compliment and insult at the same time.

Like it or not – I’d rather hear what folks are thinking then listen to pithy phrases (no I don’t lisp) that the speaker thinks I want to hear… I sort ’em out by looking at the source…. and learn!

The Fox News Channel chose to take the high road and apologize for the overtly racist remarks. What do you think would have happened if Megyn Kelly had not apologized? MSLSD and the left would have been apoplectic.

I agree that Megyn Kelly’s apology was apt, appropriate and an intelligent, adult response for FOX to make. (Not to mention the fact that she can do no wrong in my eyes anyway)
On the other hand, I do NOT believe that an apology from Jemhu would ‘unring the bell’. She said what she said, meant what she said and one of those phoney baloney “If I offended anybody – I apologize” apologies just lets her off the hook… effortlessly and guilt-free.
