Occupiers Not Too Happy About Sharing The Wealth….

Loading

Come on man…what happened to all that Socialism malarkey?

The Occupy Wall Street volunteer kitchen staff launched a “counter” revolution yesterday — because they’re angry about working 18-hour days to provide food for “professional homeless” people and ex-cons masquerading as protesters.

For three days beginning tomorrow, the cooks will serve only brown rice and other spartan grub instead of the usual menu of organic chicken and vegetables, spaghetti bolognese, and roasted beet and sheep’s-milk-cheese salad.

They will also provide directions to local soup kitchens for the vagrants, criminals and other freeloaders who have been descending on Zuccotti Park in increasing numbers every day…

Today, a limited menu of sandwiches, chips and some hot food will be doled out — so legitimate protesters will have a day to make arrangements for more upscale weekend meals.

Oh the irony.

Those people who have been without a job for years on end, sleeping in cardboard boxes and begging for money are now LESS worthy then those lazy dimwits who want to bang a drum all day long?

I guess the homeless are not part of the 99%? I mean come on….they don’t even have ipads!

Are there no prisons? Are there no workhouses?

Elisabeth Scalia:

So, there you have it: in this living experiment in socialism, it turns out there are “legitimate” people and the illegitimate. And the legitimate people, who actually are working for something, they should get the good food, the “chicken and vegetables, spaghetti bolognese, and roasted beet and sheep’s-milk-cheese salad.”

They should have the “finer things.”

Meanwhile, the other people, the “not-legitimate” people who are not actually working for anything and just taking advantage (because they are “professional homeless” who “know what they’re doing,” and how to game the system) — they shouldn’t get the finer things. They shouldn’t even be there. They should go away.

But never fear, untrained hippies are there to save the day:

A team of 10 security volunteers moved in to the trouble-prone southwest section of Zuccotti Park in a show of force to confront them.

“We’re not going to let some members of this community destroy the whole movement,” a volunteer said.

Some arguments broke out as the security team searched tents — but no violence erupted.

Overall security at the park had deteriorated to the point where many frightened female protesters had abandoned the increasingly out-of-control occupation, security- team members said.

This Occupy Mindless movement is actually making the case for capitalism. For law and order rather than anarchy. Hopefully some of them can see the irony and grow up…but I’m not holding out hope.

Exit quote:

LOL So now they they are their own “society” they are seeing that

1) working long hours for NO reward sucks (i.e. in the real world we call having the government take a HUGE percentage of your paycheck just so they can keep spending)

2) “taking” sounds great until it is your stuff people are taking (robin hood doesn’t seem so sexy anymore does he OWS?) and

3) law and order is a necessity for society to function. HAHAHAHA welcome to a world where EVERYONE must work, NOTHING is fair, and people take advantage of others.

Gee.
Working so hard only to see undeservings grab a big bunch of it…..
I guess these occupiers are getting a little taste of how the 53%’ers feel.
You know…..those 53% who pay all the taxes.

Now, there are truly unemployable people.
These are the people the ”safety net” was designed to help.
I saw a video today.
People are making fun of her, but seriously?
Who in their right mind would ever hire this female????
She has something seriously wrong with her brain!

Welcome to the real world idiots.

Just to add, Curt… it seems that they aren’t all too happy about the “redistribution of wealth” either.

Pete Dutro, a member of the Occupy Wall Street (OWS) finance committee, dismissed reports that squabbling was growing among the ranks regarding fund distribution.

…snip…

Occupy Wall Street had raised about $500,000 and as of Monday have $416,000 according to the bank balance sheet, Dutro said. He said the majority of expenses are food, and next are clothing, medical expenses and credit card fees from processing the online donations. The protests, which originally began on Sept. 17, have spread across the country, with people camped out in San Francisco and Chicago, among other cities. There were over 130 arrests related to Occupy Chicago early Sunday, according to the Associated Press.

…snip…

Bryan Smith, who is a member of the Comfort Working Group in charge of basic neccessities for the protesters, such as thermal underwear, expressed his frustrations with the protests’ financial management to the New York Post.

“The other day, I took in $2,000. I kept $650 for my group, and gave the rest to Finance,” he told the Post. “Then I went to them with a request — so many people need things, and they should not be going without basic comfort items — and I was told to fill out paperwork. Paperwork! Are they the government now?”

Let’s see… unhappy about having to “fill out paperwork” to get more of “their” money back… money given by those who charitably gave, which they eked out out of their income after taxes. And now they don’t want to share with the bottom 1%?

Money, I might add, that not a one of them earned?

I guess they’ll have to change their BS slogan to the “other 98%”… meaning not the top 1%, the and the bottom 1% can take a flying leap.

They should make an airplane out of leaves and branches and then wait for the cargo to come.

Funny. I personally know at least three people who cook food in their homes and bring it down to feed them. Not sure why anyone “volunteering” for anything would complain, they volunteered and can change their minds at any time. Again, the media making a mountain out of a molehill and people looking for fault buying into it.

@Sherman – great reference!

IT seems that there is money to make in there,
now some want all the money for themselves, trying to eliminated
the one who need to survive, because they haven’t got a place to go back too,
so the process by elimination has begun among the richest of them,
being the voice while the poorest try to get a chunk, but they are finding out,
the real purpose of why they have been incited to occupy those parks,
the GOVERNMENT WHICH STARTED IT, IS TIRED NOW AND WANT THEM OUT.

@Cary:

Probably just Another Isolated IncidentTM eh?

For three days beginning tomorrow, the cooks will serve only brown rice and other spartan grub instead of the usual menu of organic chicken and vegetables, spaghetti bolognese, and roasted beet and sheep’s-milk-cheese salad.

So, because some are gaming their system (in their eyes) everybody must suffer?
This does sound like the communist systems of the old USSR (cabbage soup was the most frequent meal)
North Korea (tree bark and crop seeds are often resorted to by the populace)
and Kampuchea (rice, if you were lucky).

But what did the inner circles in those communist regimes dine on?
In the USSR it was quite fine: sturgen roe, game meats, imported fruits and veggies, fine pasteries.
In North Korea rabbit, pizza, fine imported foods, ice cream.
In Kampuchea, all the finest; pressed duck, smoked fishes, spicy eggplant, fried rice and more.

Gee, I wonder what the steering committee at OWS is eating while their useful idiots have macrobiotic meals?

@Aye:

Still not thinking about me, eh?

@everyoneelse
The issue came up in their general assembly, and the vote was an overwhelming “no” against banning non-protester homeless. Funny how that’s not in the paper. Must not be what people want to read when they spend their 50 cents.

From the sounds of things, I’d guess that many people only receive their information from the right-wing oriented media.

@Cary:
Cary,
I saw that decision to include all of the 99% on Fox News.
A couple of days ago.
I just think it ironic that all of a sudden the food is going to be worse than soup kitchens serve.
Do you recall when Obama first got elected and there were a few articles about soup kitchens that throw out decent food because it is ”unhealthy?”
One place threw out all ”fast food” that was donated.
Another threw out all sweets, such as donuts and cinnamon rolls.
So, the soup kitchen is now a place for homeless people to get $30 meals (that’s the suggested price amount the chef of one soup kitchen said he aimed for).

Liberal1[objectivity,
I look at both and conclude that the right wing MEDIA is more precise and
less bulshit politic incited,
you get the truth ,
that’s why most people turn to FA, and other right wing BLOGS

@Nan G:

I saw that decision to include all of the 99% on Fox News.

Then there should be no need for this discussion.

@Cary: A great amount of what is going on at the various OWS demonstrations is only ”covered” by Twitter or blogs.

Nan G,
hi,
I don’t know if there is enough room in PRISONS but that is where they all should go,
to take time to reflex on their behavior.
bye

@Cary:
Funny, I thought the issue was not banning them, but giving them less food than those that were working. I mean, you’re all for the downtrodden, right? You want to take from the haves to give to the have nots, right?
So you suddenly agree that those that don’t work/contribute like others don’t deserve the same as those that do?

“You know” you don’t !

@Nan G:

Left off your list:

@Hard Right:

So you suddenly agree that those that don’t work/contribute like others don’t deserve the same as those that do?

I’ve never said I disagreed with that. If after all I’ve taken the time to type here, that’s how you understand my position, I don’t really know what else to say. Maybe this chart will help:

http://blogs-images.forbes.com/erikkain/files/2011/10/govtcorp.jpg

#10: Maybe the reason they voted to allow the homeless to stay was to bolster their numbers? The students and professional grievance mongers only have the funds to stay for so long. At some point they run out of money that they’ve milked from the productive class.

@liberal: Was there anything specific that you thought as factually incorrect? You can do better than a lazy straw man argument, brother.

@Brother Bob:

Maybe the reason they voted to allow the homeless to stay was to bolster their numbers?

That I can go with and even concede to as a bonus effect of their cause. Totally different argument than what’s been made here thus far.

NanG@15 – Well Nan, I counted approx 79 total incidents by the OWS that “we know of” and approx 25 incidents in New York City alone… I think Cary’s argument with “the one’s you forgot” [video’s #19] is indeed…. laughable. Only 1 gives us reason to pause and that one is being investigated by NY Police dept.

@FAITH7: Actually, the first two are being “investigated.” And I’ve already explained the rule of three in making points here. Nothing more needed.

Indeed some are finding out that Utopia isn’t so “Utopia” after all, is it?.

I think the OWS Protesters are GREEDY and shameless… why do they not share (Donated Money (mind you) and “the Good Food” ) with the Under, Under 99%.!!??? I think OWS protesters should be “Forced” to feed the under, under 99%, or perhaps the under, under 99% should just ‘take it’ from the OWS… You know, just like the rest of us are “Forced to”… have our “hard earned” “taken” from us, the 53% ????

I think OWS are a bunch of whiny hypocrites!! I mean after all, isn’t that what “redistribution” is all about???. What’s the matter with the OWS, no more Kum By Ya moments…is OWS Socialists running out of “other people’s money” and food ???

I hope by now [embarrassed Democrats], and moderate liberals see their “party” in the light of day now that they are showing their ‘true colors’ and that Utopia/Socialism does not and will never work…. Sadly some are too ignorant and too brainwashed to even have this open their eyes.

@FAITH7: Did you read through this thread? Much of what you say has been addressed already.

FAITH super as usual, and your video from the OTHER 53, IS MORE CLASSY,
and right on target, just like your comment,
bye

A lot of sex crimes being perpetrated against young OWS’ers.
(See my list above.)
New to add:

A Manchester city woman is accused of pimping a 16-year-old girl she met in Victory Park during the Occupy NH demonstrations.

Court documents show the teenage girl told police that Jensen had taken her photo and posted it on the website and said Jensen was going to start training her to be a prostitute, with her first customer scheduled to be “Mad Mike.”

Police said a woman who called herself “Remy” negotiated a telephone deal for “Mad Mike” to pay $150 to have sex with the teen called “Jewel.”

An undercover officer, identifying himself as “Mad Mike,” called “Remy” to find out where to go and she gave him her 341 Hanover St. address.

Police said Jensen was using her residence to facilitate prostitution involving an individual under the age of 18, so she is charged with felony prostitution.

She was convicted of a similar charge earlier this year in New York.

@Cary24 – Nothing more needed? OK, but anyway…

I Don’t see why #1 should be “Investigated” ??? The police and their Sargent [who made an announcement to disperse via bull horn] were “fair” warning protesters to disperse or else… Perhaps idiot guy should have left instead of continuing to taunt the police…but, some people are just too stupid to believe a hot stove is…Hot. At any rate the #1 video is largely all about “Spin”… as far as investigating…I think the guy should have been “paying attention” to what the Police are telling him….as in …leave…now…

And #3 is just LOL – “more spin”… maybe the Wall Street employees were celebrating something…. and there just happened to be some protesters going by… Hmmm… I don’t recall any mention of Wall Street Employees getting harassed by protesters while they were “just trying to go to work”… do you recall??

FAITH
and we saw those
one ganging on his back

cary, same thing as you say is being repeated on your other comment

http://biggovernment.com/jjmnolte/2011/10/28/occupywallstreet-the-rap-sheet-so-far/

http://hotair.com/archives/2011/10/28/bad-news-73-of-occupy-wall-street-protesters-disapprove-of-obamas-job-performance/

“Thirty percent have full-time jobs…”

“According to this poll, only 25 percent identify as Democrat. Eleven percent are socialists, 11 percent are Green Party, 12 percent are “something else,” two percent are GOP(!), and fully 39 percent say they don’t identify with any party. Most of those left-wing independents will hold their nose and vote O once the Dems’ “Romney is the new Hitler” message machine starts rolling but the true fringe types must be kicking themselves for not having started the OWS movement months ago, when they could have leveraged media momentum into a primary challenge against Obama. ”

25% are dems and 11% are socialists? More like 36% are socialists. Green party is the fringe of the fringe groups. They are to the left of Communists.

Hard RIGHT,
HI,
VERY INTERESTING, THEY PUT THEM THERE FROM THE WHITE HOUSE,
and they cannot take them out now, only arrest them,a few at the time.
snow is coming
bye

Ha. Excellent point Bees. Let’s see how many of them stick around once the snow falls.
Ever see the movie A Christmas Story? Remember that part where they are so bundled up to protect from the cold they can barely move? I lived that. Others find it funny. I just have flashbacks that leave me curled up in the fetal position.

The bulk of the coldest parts of our winter in NYC usually lasts for about two months. I agree that the numbers down on Wall Street will decline… for about two months.

Then, of course, there’s the South and West Coast that don’t get very cold winters at all…

You really think these people are going away for good because of the weather?!

@FAITH7: I’ll concede your point about the third video.

Instead, I’ll give you this…
