The Anniversary

The enemy wasted no time ushering in the 10th Anniversary to 9/11 with a rocket attack last night. Thankfully, no one was injured and no damage done, but we did get to spend some quality bonding time in the bunkers. My hope and desire is that we can kill at least 2,996 of those bastards as part of OUR 9/11 anniversary celebration today!

Lance Cpl. David Makara, a team leader of 1st Platoon, Company B, 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, coordinates a support by fire position with a fellow team leader following an early morning insert during an operation in the Northern Sangin “green zone.” The Marines of 1st Platoon lead the battalion in casualties but continue to remain focused on their mission and remember their fallen brothers as they are deployed for the 10th anniversary of 9/11. “Everyone will remember that day and I think that is a good thing, but remembering the day out here is a whole different story, because we don’t want to give the enemy the upper hand or think that they got one up on us. So for me it’s just another day,” said Makara, a 2008 graduate of Lakewood Michigan High School. “The fact that 10 years later we are still patrolling in one of the most deadly places on earth, shows that we still care no matter what the cost.” Makara, wounded in action, became a team leader for the infantry squad after his team leader was wounded in action during the deployment. Keep them coming CJ, you are our own war correspondent. It means a lot to us and will make the odd reader realize what you are facing over there. Too many of us will be feeling wimpy today on 9/11; that war that was unleashed on us is still going on and some of those that are fighting the war were in grammar school on that fateful day.

We worry over the silliest things, while you guys face Hell every day. You guys are America’s finest soldiers, the best we have ever turned out. Thank you from America.

I am in today and watching the coverage. It is such a trajedy that changed the world and must never forget what happened. I am very very dissapointed that our MSM creeps fail to show the Muslims dancing in the streets when this happened. Yes I said it, Muslims!! Prove me worng!!

GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS! And a big THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart to each and every one of them….

9/11 is still raw in many peoples memories, 10 years later it seems like it was it was only yesterday. I cannot watch one program on that day without getting emotional… I cannot hear about one of our troops being hurt or, worse, killed without getting emotional…I cannot imagine what our troops have to endure each and every day… I do know it is not easy. When I hear people here bitch and moan about trivial things, or make disparaging remarks, it makes me want to shake some sense into them… In spite of this, DO KNOW the support for our troops among the majority has never wavered… I continue to pray for God to keep our Troops safe and bring them back home where they belong….

NEVER FORGET! SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 – GOD BLESS AMERICA!!

Just got in from my one night a week that I must work, the rest, thankfully are days. Thanks CJ for being there, fighting the good fight and defending freedom.

God Bless you, God Bless all of our troops, and God Bless America

1st off — I echo and agree with all the first 4 comments — and probably most others that get posted after this one

Well I see the moo-slimes have won another round — got the idiots in US running around in circles looking for a truck bomb — while they blow one up at a US base in Afghanistan — wounding 70 some guys —

The only peace that islam provides is the peace of enslavement – destruction of human spirit and the peace of the grave.

Could someone please explain to me about those folks who try to diminish the US lives lost on 9/11 to the “Millions” in the middle east? That the US caused the attack…what kind of sick minds are out there??? I have never been more bombarded by these kinds of emails or posts on facebook for just posting a simple, Never Forget. Thanks in advance.

There is some good news about the 77 wounded U.S. troopers in that car bomb attack. The news used John Kerry’s definition of wounded. CNN reports the brass as saying those troopers will be sent back to their posts “shortly.”
