A former fetus, the “wordsmith from nantucket” was born in Phoenix, Arizona in 1968. Adopted at birth, wordsmith grew up a military brat. He achieved his B.A. in English from the University of California, Los Angeles (graduating in the top 97% of his class), where he also competed rings for the UCLA mens gymnastics team. The events of 9/11 woke him from his political slumber and malaise. Currently a personal trainer and gymnastics coach.
The wordsmith has never been to Nantucket.
Today is Sept. 11th, and it’s just so strange…I know I’ll never, ever forget the feeling and memory of that day, which is probably how many Americans feel. If only all people, regardless of party affiliation, would remember the unity we felt as a country on that day, and how we all knew who the real enemy was on that day–and, it wasn’t each other. God bless all who lost friends and family in the attacks of September 11th, and God bless all who love this country, and are remembering with heavy hearts. We give honor to all who died in doing so.
I cried when I saw Chris on the video…thank you for that. God bless Chris’s family and friends, and may they remember Chris as a shining light in this world, who gave his heart to country, and who’s light will most certainly stay alive in memory here at Flopping Aces.
