A former fetus, the “wordsmith from nantucket” was born in Phoenix, Arizona in 1968. Adopted at birth, wordsmith grew up a military brat. He achieved his B.A. in English from the University of California, Los Angeles (graduating in the top 97% of his class), where he also competed rings for the UCLA mens gymnastics team. The events of 9/11 woke him from his political slumber and malaise. Currently a personal trainer and gymnastics coach.
The wordsmith has never been to Nantucket.
I was with the Colts, but that was a great game, and that moment with his son was just beautiful. Very happy for New Orleans.
Great picture, too. =)
Awesome Game. Too bad the Colts weren’t able to at least push it to an onside kick with a minute to go. That first one was pretty intense.
I rooted for NO for the first 3.5 quarters cause I thought Manning would win it in the end.
Good to see a coach rewarded for taking chances and going all-in. Great for the game.
Brees seems like a quality guy too. Great picture!
The continuing moral of the Indy Colts….passing teams just DON’T get the job done in the BIG games. Year in and year out, the tough, hard hitting, blood and guts running teams with great defensive units will always have the edge. Anyhow, it was fun to watch the Saints win their first championship. They earned it.
hate to bring sports to this page… but really OLDPUPPYMAX? drew brees set the record for most complete passes. These were both high powered throwing offenses and of the two, the colts ran the ball during the superbowl more than the saints did.
I am happy for the Saints. Brees if I remember correctly got fired from the Chargers. I found out today (on Rush) that zer0 was for them but just before the game went for the Colts. Another FAIL?!?
jackson51 “Fired from Chargers” WTF
What is the question #7 is asking me?
WHO DAT SAY DEY GONNA BEAT DEM SAINTS? WHO DAT…
Great picture for anyone, but especially for the “Pro-Lifers”. Can they get any cuter?
A Super Bowl ring is an impressive chunk of metal and shiny rocks. But it can’t compare to your son’s smile, it can’t hug your neck, and it can’t tell you “I love you.” The greatest triumphs of your life are far sweeter when shared with a loving family. Thank you, Wordsmith, for posting this picture. It puts the win — as great as it is — into perspective.
