Thank goodness this charismatic nitwit is so clueless, otherwise the American People might still be willing to follow the Progressive Socialist Mantra straight to Perdition. We have been given emergency oxygen, from now on it is a solemn mission to depose these Marxists and rid our country of this foul influence forever.
Just recently I’ve been watching the series called The Tudors. It is about Henry the 8th. When you edit out all the sultry sex stuff and follow the the history you can’t help but think that this could be the story of how Obama wants to rule this country.
Just get a copy of it and watch how this king gets progressively more and more delusional and more and more cruel and you simply see the unmistakable parallels with Obama.
I don’t for a minute think that someone as politically saavy as yourself would be in the least surprised over the Zero’s attempt to spin this election. He is a politician who still wants to get his way. Clinton did the same thing in 1994. Truthfully, the Zero’s spin is not as laughable as Howard Dean’s, or Steny Hoyers. The problem for the Zero of course, is that the repudiation was so complete, it would take a brain dead donkey to buy any spin. People like Howard Dean and Steny Hoyer. Unfortunately for those of us in the rest of the country, that is the majority of those running Congress and the Senate.

Massachusetts has a lot in common with Maine. And based on voting record, Scott Brown is more akin to another Olympia Snowe than some cornpone eating Southern GOPer. It will be interesting to see if he votes like a liberal GOper (which is what he is and NEEDS TO BE to stay in office beyond 2012) or if he votes like a tea bagger. Unless he has a political suicide pact, or wants to be the next Mitt Romney (unelectable in Massachusetts but a media darling for the wingnuts), he will vote like a liberal R. Its the only way you keep the seat beyond 2012, kiddies. Massachusetts voters might be peeved at the Dems, but they are not stupid enough to let their state turn into Mississippi North.
As for Obama not “getting” Brown — he gets it, alright. Telegenic, nice guy, experienced state senator comes out of nowhere and takes a seat from the other party to get into the US Senate. One year later, decides to run for president. Sound familiar?
The question is: does the rest if the GOP “get it”? Will they give up good committee assignments for Brown so he can burnish the foreign policy cred.? (And he’ll need some work, given his stupid position on torturing people.) Will they actually help him maximize his exposure? Think about the Dems. When Obama came in, many knew he could be a star. The Dems did not cut Obama’s legs off, they supported him. People like Harry Reid and Bob Byrd took him under their wings and pushed him. He ran hard and smart for the nomination, won it, and they backed him to the hilt in the election.
What will the GOPers do with Brown? I think I know already, because I can hear the ads that would be run by Governor Bumpkin, GOPer presidential candidate from Crooked Jaw, Georgia:
“Scott Brown: just right for liberal Massachusetts, too liberal for America!”
Methinks that the GOP, being as braindead as they have shown, would rather have Susie Sunshine from Wasilla or some knuckledragging Mississippian heading their ticket than a moderate GOPer going mano y mano with Obama. In fact, I predict that if the GOP nominates a Southern conservative to run against Obama in 2012, that will leave Michelle Obama with one big question: expand the presidential china collection for the second term, or pick a coordinating pattern that can be mixed and matched?
@Flyovercountry: You’re correct that the spin isn’t the most important aspect of this. But if Obama believes the spin and acts accordingly, he will be making a huge mistake. It’s possible he actually believes some of what he says even though it is abundantly clear that he must know he is lying his ass off most of the time.
@B-Rob: Showing up after the game is won to trash Scott Brown?
Did you bother to watch the Brit Hume commentary before you dropped your latest load of George Soros approved and provided talking points?
Brit says, and I agree, that Brown is no “watered down greened up Republican lite.”
He goes on to list a series of Scott’s conservative positions including skpeticism on global warming and a belief that waterboarding is not torture.
That makes him MORE conservative than John McCain, his hero, and Olympia Snowe.
Take my advice BROB (I know full well you won’t) and drop these phony talking points that are spoon fed to you by your socialist masters and try and come up with an original thought based on the FACTS, not your weird fantasies!

I hope they keep this frame of mind and believe that this is simply anger over Bush. Let the delusional Dems keep making stupid mistakes and taking their key from PEBO and see where that gets them come 2012.
Mitch Stewart, the director of Obama’s grassroots organization, sent out an email to supporters on Wednesday that began, “Yesterday’s disappointing election results show deep discontent with the pace of change.”
And the President himself, in an interview yesterday with George Stephanopoulos, seemed to subscribe to a similar interpretation of Tuesday night:
OBAMA: The same thing that swept Scott Brown into office swept me into office.
STEPHANOPOULOS: But it sounds like you’re saying — no second thoughts on your fundamental strategy?
OBAMA: Well look, what I would say is that first of all, I wish we had gotten it done faster because I think that if we had gotten health care done faster, people would have understood the degree to which every single day George, health care is part of a broader context of how am I going to be able to move the middle class forward in a more secure and stable way…
Put all of these things together and it certainly seems that the lesson the White House appears to have taken away from Tuesday night is that voters are not upset with Obama’s policies, they are upset with the slow ‘pace of change’ coming out of Washington and the fact that those policies (like the stimulus, for example) have not manifested themselves in a positive way in people’s everyday lives. Ergo, the best thing the White House can do in the aftermath of Tuesday is to continue to move forward as fast as possible with its agenda – including passing health care – and do a better job of communicating the benefits of that agenda to the public.
The problem, obviously, is that the real message from Tuesday night is almost exactly the opposite: the man who ran explicitly to provide the 41st vote to stop the jamming through of health care and to be “an independent voice” won by five points in one of the most reliably blue states in the nation against a woman who was 100% behind Barack Obama’s agenda.
Maybe this is all just the President and his staff spinning, putting the best possible face on a politically disastrous loss. But – and this is what should scare a lot of Democrats who are up for reelection this year – maybe it isn’t.
White House Democrats have to be insane, LITERALLY, if they believe Massachusetts voters wanted MORE from Obama, not less!
and this:
Sour swing voters desert Democrats Politico
…As they did in the New Jersey and Virginia gubernatorial contests last fall, sour swing voters overwhelmingly supported the Republican in Tuesday’s Massachusetts Senate special election. Though there were no traditional exit polls, Brown’s 5-percentage-point victory in a state where just 12 percent of registered voters are Republicans makes clear that yet again, Democrats lost a race on friendly terrain because centrists fled into the arms of the GOP.
After Barack Obama won independents by 52 percent to 44 percent in 2008, the key demographic in American politics is moving away from him and his party. And as in any 12-step program to recovery, Democratic officials are finally owning up to having a problem with the swing bloc.
Though there were no exit polls, GOP pollster Tony Fabrizio surveyed 800 voters on election night and found that Brown won 64 percent of independents to Coakley’s 34 percent.
Democratic pollster Dave Beattie said that independent voters — particularly whites and Hispanics — are worried about the economy and that Democrats had erred in focusing on health care at a time when voters are focused on jobs.
“These are the same individuals that ditched the Republicans in the last couple of elections,” Beattie lamented. “These are folks who don’t like the way things are going.”
After the corporate bailouts, middle-class voters felt particularly neglected, he said. “It’s a feeling that the whole system in Washington is ignoring them,” Beattie said. “We have not addressed the economic concern.”
But the cure for Democrats isn’t as simple as tweaking their agenda, it would appear. Donahue, a nurse, complained about the federal health care reform plans and said one-party control in Washington was partially to blame. “We need a little bit of diversity politically,” she said.
The Bay State’s results proved that she is not alone.
A survey taken by GOP pollster Wes Anderson for the Republican National Committee in the days leading up to the Massachusetts vote found deep discontent with the Democratic majority in Congress in a state that, until Tuesday, didn’t have a single Republican on Capitol Hill.
Asked whether they were satisfied that Democrats in Congress were listening to them, 67 percent of Massachusetts independents polled said they were unsatisfied compared with just 28 percent who said they were satisfied.
Drilling deeper into the poll’s demographics illustrates just how grave the Democrats’ problem is at the moment. Like Donahue, the majority of the self-identified independents surveyed are white, middle-class, middle-aged suburban ticket-splitters — the sort of voters both parties crave.
And when tough economic times are combined with a heavily taxed electorate, as in Massachusetts, the results can be ugly for Democrats.
One Democratic pollster who sampled the state said the tax issue played a pivotal role for Brown in winning over the state’s independents.
“They were worried about taxes more than anything else,” this consultant said. “[Coakley] was seen as a big taxer. [Brown] was seen as someone who wants to lower taxes.”
Low taxes? You think Obama understands that?

If the Democrats want to ride the Obama Ship of State to the bottom, may they have a nice voyage. The next third party will be made up from the fragments of a destroyed and wasted party, in the mean time we will need to dismantle the damage already done to our country by wiping away the Obama Stain and the attacks upon our Constitution.
