A former fetus, the “wordsmith from nantucket” was born in Phoenix, Arizona in 1968. Adopted at birth, wordsmith grew up a military brat. He achieved his B.A. in English from the University of California, Los Angeles (graduating in the top 97% of his class), where he also competed rings for the UCLA mens gymnastics team. The events of 9/11 woke him from his political slumber and malaise. Currently a personal trainer and gymnastics coach.
The wordsmith has never been to Nantucket.

Great collection this week Word.
But I must admit the radio-in-the helmet/man-down shook me bad.
I do hope it wasn’t disrespectful to post the tragic story of officers shot today in Washington State on the funnies page. My sincere apologies if so. I simply was trying to get the word out on the first thread, just so folks could be praying they find the suspect and/or offer tips to the police if living in that area. It sounds now like they have a suspect, at least, so that’s encouraging. It was very sad news to me, and angered me greatly. Although it’s not a military base like Fort Hood, these fine officers were also unsuspecting of this kind of attack in the location they were at, and were targeted. Law enforcement officers are our defenders here on the homeland, so, it’s just as much an act of terror in my opinion. May justice be served in full to this guy when caught.
No offence here, bud.
Cops are sheepdogs too, and no matter what’s going on, if something happens to one of them, the alarm must be raised, and trumpets sounded.
Thanks, Pat, I appreciate it.

Tiger’s wood shots seem to have put him in the rough on occasion. Wife is furious, shows him how to use a driver. She feels careless wood shots are ruining his game.
Another woman has her own ideas of how to tame Tiger’s wild wood shots. More than anxious to take a hold of Tiger’s driver for an exhibition match and personal instruction, denies being responsible for Tiger’s unpredictable wood shots or poor driving habits.
