GWB and Laura will be just a hop, skip and a jump away from Kwame and Carlita. [MSM driving directions says approximately 25.27 miles and 34 minutes.] Poor George and Laura. I bet they thought they were finally getting away from some of the crap – and now it is following them.

Wonder if the “affluent” houses in the Southlake neighborhood where Kwame is headed has signs up for him? If those neighbors were smart they’d have “for sale” signs up, not “welcome home” signs!

Do you have any political point or issue of value, BT… or are you just here to spew personal hatred of George W. Bush?

Good on you… what a stellar representative you are of your “aisle”. THat would be those saying “give him a chance” and “change”… right? So far you haven’t “changed”. You espoused hatred for the past 6 years… and continue to do so.

I guess it’s all “just words”, eh?

Wait… confused here. And apologies to Beth/BT in SA if I misunderstood.

Perhaps you can counteract my first impressions on your comment, and clarify for us why an affluent Dallas suburb should … in your opinion… have “for sale” signs out instead of “welcome home” for the Bushes?

BT,

I am not sure what you meant with the quotes around “affluent”, but rest assured that Southlake is indeed a very wealthy suburb. I have to say that I agree with the “for sale” signs.

As for me, I have seen those signs as I drive a truck around Dallas. I am glad and proud that the Bushes have decided to move here.

Oh, by the way, I hope your trip to Dallas has been fun and relaxing Mike. I also hope our harsh Texas winter hasn’t been too much for you.

@Lightbringer: Thanks L.B. It was 72 in Dallas today. So much for the “harsh Texas winter”. Not sure what I missing on Hilton Head Island, but I am not complaining.

So sorry Beth of SA…….. totally misread your comment, assuming it was about the Bushes, and not the Kilpatricks. Like where did that come from??? You have forced me to read up on the relocation plans of the Detroit mayor.

uh… like who cares???

If anyone could whip him (Kilpatrick, *not* Bush… in order not to perpetuate yet another bizarre diversion) into humble obscurity, a Texas neighborhood could. Unlikely they’d acknowledge his presence with *any* sign.

But sure is a bummer you muddied up this new Bush ‘hood thread with that mention…. must scrub off the mud now.

Lightbringer – I have no idea what the neighborhood Kwame is moving into is like. The article I read said “affluent” and that is the only reason I put it in quotes. Link here: http://freep.com/article/20090203/NEWS01/90203085/Kilpatrick+s+next+stop+is+an+affluent+suburb+in+Texas%5D I assume the article is correct [who knows, though, these days].

I am glad you reread my comment, MataHarley. I am on GWB’s side of the aisle and you will never read anything that would ever resemble “hatred” of him written by me! And trust me, any hatred I espouse is current – very current – say, since November 4th, or January 20th – but that hatred is NOT of GWB. If I lived in Texas, I’d have a “Welcome Home President and Mrs. Bush” sign on my front yard, too. Unless of course I lived in Southlake, in which case I’d have a “for sale” sign in my front yard if I was anywhere near where Kwame is going to be living.

Oh my gosh – to think you misunderstood my comment… Perhaps I wasn’t clear enough. And, apparently I wasn’t. I find it repulsive that Kwame didn’t spend more time in jail and I genuinely feel sorry for what he is going to do to the neighborhood he is moving into, which just happens to be much too close to George and Laura Bush, in my humble opinion. I really wasn’t trying to muddy up a “Bush ‘hood thread” with a mention of Kwame. That was not my intention. Merely just an observation that, unfortunately, crap has followed them.

I think I’m being held in spam, MataHarley. I tried to better explain myself… Apology accepted.

BT,

I can shed some “local” light on the situation. Southlake has the highest median household income in the country, according to U.S. Census Bureau figures released back in December. Although he might try to rip some of them off, I doubt Kwame will be rabble rousing much. I suspect that the proximity of “The Potter’s House” and several other African American mega churches to Southlake might have helped his location choice.

As for Kwame stirring up trouble in the Dallas area, we could use the excitement ever since John Wiley Price got too old to rip people’s windshield wipers off, assault and injure bystanders, or stage cross walk demonstrations all in the name of fighting racism. We are somewhat bored without our very own, athletic, Al Sharpton (with kung fu grip). Maybe Kwame will assault some of his neighbors or something.
