West Chester Rally 01/03/2009

Loading

A new year always brings new hope (not that hopey changey crap Obama blathered on about). The Sheepdogs welcomed the new year with smiles and good cheer. While Rich is recovering from his accident, the Sheepdogs came out today to show their love and respect for Rich. We had close to 45 people today, with two honorary Sheepdogs traveling from Maryland and Maine to stand with us.

There is nothing better than a Sheepdog rally to raise your spirits!

Ever wonder why the left hates the US troops? Check out my Flopping Aces buddy Wordsmith and his brilliant photo essay on this subject.

This is required reading for all Sheepdogs and MidnightBlue readers and lurkers (that means you, Dee). Yes, there will be a quiz.

One last photo that captures the delusion of the CCPM:

Beautiful photos as usual, skye!

These colors make me emotional:

Thanks for the blogpost-plug, btw.

The Chester Country Communist Party has a “FREE GAZA” sign?

Free Gaza to shower innocent Israeli children with more deadly rockets?

In case the peacenik loons were not aware Gaza has been free to run their own affairs. Israel traded land for peace and Hamas went back on the deal.

And what happend to Rich? An accident? Any suspicious circumstances?

What’re those people gonna protest when Obama’s inaugurated?

In a July interview with The New York Times, Obama said he did not think that “any country would find it acceptable to have missiles raining down on the heads of their citizens.

“If somebody was sending rockets into my house where my two daughters sleep at night, I’m going to do everything in my power to stop that,” he said. “And I would expect Israelis to do the same thing.”

As for talking with Hamas, Obama told the Times that it was “very hard to negotiate with a group that is not representative of a nation state, does not recognize your right to exist, has consistently used terror as a weapon, and is deeply influenced by other countries.”

Could it be President-elect Obama is silent on the subject now because he doesn’t want to offend the loons w the pretty rainbow flag?

Mike: Two days before Christmas, Rich slipped on a patch of black ice and broke several ribs. He subsequently punctured the outer lining of his lung, which required several day in ICU to drain and re inflate his lung.

Scott: What about all the informative dinners with palestinian mouthpiece, Khalidi:

The New York Times reported and confirmed as much in May of this year:

For years, the Obamas had been regular dinner guests at the Hyde Park home of Rashid Khalidi, a Middle East scholar at the University of Chicago and an adviser to the Palestinian delegation to the 1990s peace talks. Mr. Khalidi said the talk would often turn to the Middle East, and he talked with Mr. Obama about issues like living conditions in the occupied territories. In 2000, the Khalidis held a fund-raiser for Mr. Obama during his Congressional campaign.

It is a bit hilarious that the quisling elect would be silent on this issue, since he was vocal in his support of both sides during the campaign. Having ‘the one’ get called out on his BS rhetoric – priceless.

Perhaps he will truly make history by being the first mute president.

It is precisely these relationships with Palestinian advocates that has me more than suspicious as to Obama’s silence on Gaza. Remember that for all the comparisons the media… and Obama himself… like to make to previous presidents, he is closest to Jimmy Carter.

I’m pretty close to being the lone ranger on an odd – and perhaps unlikely theory… that Obama is silent *not* because of approval of Israel’s response, but because he is 180 degrees apart from the current admin’s position on Israel v Hamas in Gaza. And at least he has the good judgment not to put out completely opposing statements in this transition period.

I don’t think Obama, being a vain individual, will be a “mute”, Skye. But I do think he will be a johnny-come-lately on any hard decision making. He’s not a fast thinker or decision maker. His first instincts are to straddle the fence and not offend anyone until he can see the easiest path to mass approval.
