Axelrod says he won’t be another Rove

Loading

Incoming White House adviser David Axelrod said Sunday that he will focus on helping the country and not spend his time worrying about President-elect Obama’s reelection.
“Our view is that we’ve got tremendous challenges in this country right now, and what we should be thinking about is how we’re going to address those and not the next election,” Axelrod said on NBC’ “Meet the Press” when asked to compare his role to that of former Bush adviser Karl Rove. “And if we do that well, the next election will take care of itself.”

I thought Obama said he would get rid of the political advisor position? No?

Axelrod will not be another Rove? He will be another ‘what’s his name’? You know, the guy in the Nixon administration who went to prison along with his clan of criminals. Once a Chicago hood, always a Chicago hood. The only question is ‘will Hussein O be another Nixon’ and try to protect his employees and get in trouble doing it? BWAHAHAHAHAHA

Bush’s philosophy was to do the right thing and the politics would take care of themselves. It worked out ok for his re-election but he should have rethought it for the last 4 years.

If Obama downplays the political nature of this job he is a fool and I do not think he is a fool.

Axelrod may not be another Karl Rove but he sure is going to do the very same job Rove did.

He won’t be another Rove because he can’t be another Rove – intellectually or morally.

Daledog, You is right. I did a lot of searching today and found a few of Axelrod’s comments and also searched for brain transplant surgery. Axel would need a new brain and to date there is no brain replacement surgery approved. Axel will have to continue his stupid ways for years to come. Axel, I’ve listened to Rove and you ain’t no Rove.
Come on folks, have a little fun. After the past 8 years there is no remark or insult you can lay on a democrat that doesn’t have prior approval of the democrats and Lame Stream Media (they’re previous use of insults/slander is approval). Even the office of POTUS is no longer exempt. I haven’t seen the millions of apologies from the democrats that will be necessary to return respect to the coming POTUS or the office. Just play monkey see, monkey do.

He won’t be another Rove because he can’t be another Rove – intellectually or morally.

That’s pretty much what I was gonna say – only not as intelligently.

@Scrapiron:

He’s out of his league Scrapiron, this ain’t Chicago, it’s big time now. Problem for this country is he is one of Obama’s handlers, a big man behind the curtain. He’s a big part of what got him where he is right now and he isn’t going under the bus. If it wasn’t so serious, we could laugh about it.

No more scapegoats. There’s no more Bush. Dems hold Congress bigtime (probably just 1 vote shy of absolute, unchecked power!). The One and the Dems promised CHANGE and HOPE and said they could handle things. If they can’t….then they lied.

Media’s got no election to divide and divert their coverage.
