Pakistan orders troops to stop US raids
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (AP) — Pakistan’s army spokesman says its forces have orders to open fire on U.S. troops if they launch another raid across the Afghan border.

Pakistani officials issued sharp protests to Washington after helicopters ferried U.S. commandos into Pakistan’s South Waziristan region on Sept. 3 for a highly unusual ground attack into a militant stronghold.

Army spokesman Maj. Gen. Athar Abbas told The Associated Press that, after the raid, the military told its field commanders to prevent any similar raids.

Abbas said that if it was clear that troops had crossed the ill-defined border into Pakistani territory, either on the ground or in the air, that troops should “open fire.”

“No incursion is to be tolerated,” he said.

funny funny. the morons probably would do it and in the process completely ensure a McCain victory. we are at an inflection point and as the economy slows around the world, the stillness of smaller governments awaiting direction, support and guidance from DC and Wall Street will be in fact deafening. Obama in his heightened arrogance actually believes his horse pucky that selling America as a bad neighbor around the world will hold water in the end. Europe is already reeling from inflation and as China slows, both inflation and political instability will lead to a massive depreciation in wealth in regional Asia. in the end, the idiot from Chicago will be standing there studdering about change we need or change we want and the world will be praying for our intervention.

We have made it clear to all nations, if you harbor terrorists, you are just as guilty as the terrorists; you’re an enemy of the United States, and you will be held to account.

Why would they want to enforce their borders? Are they racist?

eleni-good one! Seriously though, a case can be made that since Pakistan is not enforcing/governing its laws in the tribal areas they are not part of the sovereign state of Pakistan (sovereignty means governed), and as such the unmarked border areas are not to be enforced.
