Obama Throws Another One Under The Bush

Loading

“I want to first of all acknowledge your great mayor, Kwame Kilpatrick.”

Yes, that Kwame:

Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick will be back in court this morning. This time it’s for a preliminary hearing to determine if he’ll stand trial on assault charges.

Kilpatrick is involved in two different criminal cases. Yesterday they clashed when the judge in a perjury case told him he could take a tracking device off his ankle, only to be told hours later by another to put it back on.

The judge in the assault case is the one who gave that order, and he’s also barring Kilpatrick from leaving the Detroit metro area. That decision dashes the mayor’s hope of attending the Democratic National Convention later this month.

Kilpatrick is accused of assaulting two investigators who were at his sister’s house trying to serve a subpoena last month in the perjury case.

And now Obama has decided another one needs to be thrown under the bus:

If Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick decides to go to the Democratic National Convention in Denver in 10 days, he would be a distraction from the historic nomination of Sen. Barack Obama, the presumptive nominee’s campaign said today.

But Obama staffers wouldn’t go as far as saying Kilpatrick shouldn’t make the trip to Denver.

The convention should be about the economic problems facing the nation overall and Michigan specifically, Brent Colburn, Obama’s Michigan campaign spokesman said.

Which is fine. Kwame is a thug. But wouldn’t it be easier if Obama actually used some sound judgment and befriended people who were not thugs? Not terrorists? Not criminals?

I’m just saying.

JammieWearingFool is saying:

Well, with one criminal down today, I wonder how long the invitation to convict Don Siegelman will last. Then again, Siegelman serves a higher purpose: to bash Bush.

And Bush bashers cannot be thrown under the bus. Someone needs to distract the media so no one pays attention to Obama’s lack of experience, judgment, and character.

Ah yes, another “distraction” to be thrown under the bus, swept under the rug…definitely a pattern forming here.

Another under the Bus
Another one gone
another one gone
Abother under the Bus
Hey they are going to get you too
Abother under the Bus

I forgot, there is someone that has better lyrics, but I couldn’t find them.

That’s one crowded bus. Detroit is one really messed up city, even the city council will be tried for bribery. I’m ever so glad I left that CITY years ago. Obama will regret the fact he even knew Kuame. Throwing him under the bus is a smidgen to late.

Jainphx,

I know.. I brought the wife back home to Detroit when an assignment presented itself here. I like the assignment, but hate how the area I grew up in is going down the drain.

When other cities saw the corruption rampant in New Orleans or the effects of the Daily Machine in Chicago they probably vowed never to be like those cities. Detroit said “that’s nothing, I bet we can have much more corruption than those guys.”

The sad part is it did not start with Kilpatrick. I can trace the rabid corruption back to “emperor” Colman Young in the 80s…. And I am sure even that fool was only the latest for the city.
