Nice Job.

Apology to Skye.

You said, “hi yonason” and as I was about to write “hi” back, my screen froze. I hope you didn’t think I was being rude. Just clumsy (I couldn’t figure out how to get out of that without hitting “refresh” which took a while to get back)

. . . Some, uh, editing may, um, have occurred in this section . . .

(I used to live in to the North of Phillie (Bucks County), and earlier in North Phillie itself – before it got as bad as I’ve heard it is now).

If you read what I wrote before, you might be puzzled. I was, uh, thinking of somewhere else. (insert “embarrassed smiley” here).

Anyway, have a great time, and I can’t wait to see what transpires at the convention and environs.

Yonason: Something tells me that with 15 different people chatting at once Skye hardly had time to feel slighted.

That raises a question about the interest for these chats. Do people find them too frenetic with everyone chatting at once? The other alternative is to have comments moderated and only post a handful of the best for display on the main board.

Oh, good. But I could still see her face and she looked puzzled.

Thanks again for the heads up. Now maybe I can get the hang of using that to watch the “live” blogging, though it sounds like she’s gong to have to compile a bunch of stuff for broadcast in batches during the less interesting parts (if she has to leave the main area to do that), so it’s not going to be very “live” unless there’s a way around that.

Do people find them too frenetic with everyone chatting at once?

YES. It was really hard to follow, which is why I didn’t come in until almost the end. I kept trying to go back and catch up (I got there about 1/2 hour late) but every time someone would enter a comment the whole thing would snap away from wha I was trying to read. If I kept my mouse pointer on the slider bar I could keep my place, but it was still erratic. Also, there were to many videos to watch. Finally, I could hear Skye chatting with people who she could hear but we couldn’t, so there were like two seperate conversations going on with only some able to hear both, or maybe not? Anyway, I felt more comfortable watching, mostly, because I didn’t want to disrupt what seemed to be a train of thought I didn’t have anything to contribute to.

I guess that’s about it.

Oh, yes, nice dog. She looked like “There’s no food? …no toys? …what am I doing here then?”

Uh yeah… Ditto! All of what Yon said.

If anyone wants to see what the fuss is about, the entire chat, along with audio and video supplements can be replayed by clicking on the circular arrow above.

It really is difficult to go back through once the thing starts and try and read what everyone has said. But then, it’s chat and not comments on the blog like you are used to. It’s more interactive and immediate and you can choose whether to participate in the free for all or not.

I know that alot of readers do enjoy it warts and all.

To those that don’t: C’est la vie! It’s not for everyone.
