Clarification From Rev. Wright

Loading

Well, this should clarify what Wright said earlier about Obama only saying what a politician has to say to get elected….he meant what he said:

MODERATOR: What is your motivation for characterizing Senator Obama’s response to you as, quote, “what a politician had to say”? What do you mean by that?

WRIGHT: What I mean is what several of my white friends and several of my white, Jewish friends have written me and said to me. They’ve said, “You’re a Christian. You understand forgiveness. We both know that, if Senator Obama did not say what he said, he would never get elected.”

Politicians say what they say and do what they do based on electability, based on sound bites, based on polls, Huffington, whoever’s doing the polls. Preachers say what they say because they’re pastors. They have a different person to whom they’re accountable.

As I said, whether he gets elected or not, I’m still going to have to be answerable to God November 5th and January 21st. That’s what I mean. I do what pastors do. He does what politicians do.

I am not running for office. I am hoping to be vice president.

(LAUGHTER)

The press was all giggles at this event it seems…so enthralled at being in the presence of such a powerful racist they just couldn’t help themselves.

That wasn’t the end of it either. He went on to analyze the difference between white and black brains and accused those who attacked him as actually attacking the black church. This is the man that Obama holds up as his mentor.

This is the man that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Obama has no good judgement whatsoever to be the President of the United States.

Definitley Rev Wright is the gift that keeps on giving to the McCain campaign and even to Hillary’s too. he has stuck a big foot in his mouth and all the Obamassiah’s supporters that he has just given the election to McCain.

The more the man talks, the more one sees those clips they whine about are an accurate depiction. “Black church”, “white church”. Always such divisions he promotes. How does one become united and equal if we are constantly being divided into classes and color?

Lordy, even Donna Brazille says (paraphrased from an interview just moments ago) “if you want to know about the past, listen to Rev Wright. If you want to know about the future, listen to Obama.” So many black spokes’people (ain’t that PC??) are just wishing this guy would shut up. I have to wonder of Obama’s campaign handlers are blowing steam out their ears.

I wholly agree with Ms. Brazille assessment via Wright/Obama. However Obama’s visions for the future, just like his wife’s, are shaped by the victim mentality instilled in him by those such as Wright, Ayers and friends. All professional “victims” with a strange bent to them. And it is these visions that will be his downfall. Not Wright, not Ayers, not even his promise to provide unity while never demonstrating bipartisanship in practice.

Obama’s visions are more socialism/Marxism than this country will accept… once they learn what Marxism and socialism is. Unfortunately, it sounds attractive. But the reality of this governance and it’s fatal weaknesses are no longer taught in the US public school system.

on huffington post this morning they said he is an “asset” to obama, ass may be right, but not asset. i do hope he continues to put his footin his mouth, he does do it so well. and as we have all seen and heard, obama and wright are far more divisive than they are uniters. i really hope they keep entertaiining us, they are making it so much easier for “typical white” people to see what he really is about. several military men i know have stated that there is no way that obama can be commmander in chief, they are scared of what will happent o this country if that happens.

It’s astonishing, stunning even, but not surprising, that libs continue to drool at the transparent and evident racism offered by Rev. Wright in every forum imagineable.

What I found most offensive was the statement by Wright that criticisms of him were instead attacks on the entire Black Church!

Wright is simply being himself. Something which Obama can never do.

Oh, he’ll be sticking around in the limelight, luva… he’s got a book to sell coming up.

Now as an example both Hillary and Obama are feeling the fire of deceit and smear. Mainstream Media is charging in a wild way towards Obama, Reverend Wright is absolutely off the wall. Hillary is being charged as race baiting, when in fact it is the Media that is doing it. MSNBC aired a race program with Brian Williams you must know about that was explosive, the gaffe of gaffes, here in a round robin discussion a black commentator told the audience that black/white parenting makes pretty babies, but Black/ Black parenting makes ugly babies. This is one clip you will not see and is buried for the absolute racism it stands for. Great job MSNBC race baiting to the max. Their FCC license should be voided. Whats really funny is the notion the analyst keep pounding out that Hillary is dishonest, yet make the claim that Obama has little difference on policy or issues, here, is such incredible alien nation of Hillary while trying to promote Obama.

More over, all the first line Journalist across the spectrum know that Obama has delegate numbers from caucus Red States that are spiked numbers due to Republican cross overs. These states that have never voted Democrat in forty years are now going to vote a Black Democrat as president? Not going to happen.

It is wildly incredible to think Obama does not realize this with all the intension to exploit it everyway he can believe in, to make it will work for himself. What is happening in a more important way is a thrust for the Democratic leadership in an open revealing way beyond anytime. Blacks are showing America what they are made of. Especially Reverend Wright saying he is open to be Vice President. Here, America is witness to a ranting blabber mouth wants to be Vice President. Because many Blacks do not understand the situation, but ignore the reverence and grace that is needed to reflect a core grievance they always had. Yelling and hollering to an audience is not the change America will invest in. Many white people know the difficulties that must be endured by Blacks that are self aware of the transitions they are making. If I was a Black man and realized the changes that God would be making me go through, I would be angry, or likely bitter.

rev. wright is doing to the black church and the black movement what the arians and the kkk have done the caucasions. he does nothing more than make himself look almost manical. the people i know, i live in a small town out west that is very conservative, our state is liberal though. everyone i know thinks the guy is nuts and they think obama may be the same way only a bit quieter. so many of these salt of the earth people are frightened about what will happen if he becomes president, how will the average american fair. i have seen only one obama sticker, it was on an old vw van that had food co-op and hug a tree stickers. we don’t need any more people who want to divide this country, we need to at least attempt to work together.

So, if I were to distill these comments down; Wright is pretty much saying that BHO distancing himself from the Trinity sermons is pretty much an act of political expediency, trying to dodge all the backlash that was coming his way.
That would make the flipside that Wright is basically assuring the radicals and racists in the audience that they don’t need to worry, that deep down BHO actually believes all the bile that Wright has been spewing; that he’s just putting on a show to fool the voting public.
Wow, how very reassuring…
By all means, I hope that Wright keeps on mouthing off; barring some serious positive coverage by the MSM (which is well within the realm of possibility I suppose), Hillary should be able to knock-off BHO before we have to worry about him in the General Election.

Something’s bothering me about this… Wright’s going to be demanding more and more face time for his book. And he’s not going to want to hurt Obama.

Obama’s going to want his “mentor” to take advantage of this windfall exposure to promote his book. Obama may be socialist in policy, but he’s *very* capitalistic in his personal realm.

And neither Wright nor Obama are this stupid to sabatoge both their paths..

I’m wondering if Wright is set to become a future tool for Obama to formally “eject” in the near future (as a public thing anyway). Who knows, it could already be arranged as campaign strategy/Act II. The back room workings of campaign handlers may be on to something, and this could be a big part of it. Obama “the victim” of Wright. Wright, “the nefarious” gets wealthy.

Hummmm…

Unless Wright and others do not want Obama to win. Think about it. If somehow the supers move to Hillary, they can play the victim card for the next 20 years. And the liberal media will jump on board that Soul Train.
Look for more bombs to be dropped as the Rev goes on his book tour.
Pass the popcorn!!

Elroy,

You have a point. There are groups that already want to re-ignite the racial fires of 1968. Victimhood is a profitable industry and success means their lies fall apart and the racial “leaders” (why a ‘race’ needs ‘leaders’ is another related issue) find themselves obsolete and out of all important power. And that is what it really is about: POWER. No “victimhood”, no power for the “leaders”.

Obama is tied at the hip to “anarchists”, racists, and terror groups. All of which are jumping at the chance for “revolution” as their to absolute power.

From repeated comments made by these groups and their actions, I really do expect bombs to go off….. real ones.

Elroy and ChrisG, I certainly agree that if the race appears stolen from BHO, and given to HRC via supers, the DNC base and media will be aboard that Soul Train enforce. However Wright’s actions are counterintuitive for placing Obama in that ultimate “victim” status, and achieving that outrage.

To garner the sympathy for the Soul Train schedule, BHO must definitively win the popular vote and lose the nomination from supers. Note Wright is doing this before these final state primaries. This can only throw more popular votes to HRC, narrowing the gap between the two.

If it’s close percentage spread in popular votes, the DNC can make a case for HRC getting the supers (based on big electorate states) and the race less controversial as “stolen”. Wind out of their sails, don’t you think? (not that they wouldn’t make a stink anyway… but harder to get the media sympathy)

If he started this talking head circuit in June – *after* BHO had the popular win – I might be more inclined to agree he was trying to sabatoge Obama.

On the flip side, I’m not so sure that the black rights leadership lose power with BHO as POTUS. He’s very affirmative action – one of their pet causes. And if a POTUS/BHO has a period of DNC holding all branches of power, they can accomplish much for their agenda that would be nigh on impossible to reverse. Leaders, to keep their base enthused, must occasionally have success.

So I think I must agree to disagree here. I believe Wright has more to gain from a BHO victory. Heard one black commentator say she thought it was “anger” at BHO’s brushoff. Too simple. Wright said himself that he understood BHO was the consummate politician by distancing himself for electability.

But ya know? Time will unravel this mystery. However I’m sure there is more going on in the back rooms here than meets the eye.

They’re socialists. They model on the Saul Alinsky dream. No revolutionaries, no revolution. Change = revolution. They intend to inflame a racial war.

Another unbelievable statement: “I told Barack that if he was elected CEO, the next day I’d attack him – because he would then be part of the government that oppresses us”…but then says that he’d be willing to be the VP. So all of a sudden, he’s VP and it’s _not_ an oppressive government? What does that tell you?

I saw the live comments INRE Veep status, Suek. That was a tongue-in-cheek joke. He’s not really soliciting the VP job. But also, don’t think he’d turn it down if offered.

But of course, he knows it would never be offered to him. Talk about BHO going down in flames…

The public divorce” begins:

“I have been a member of Trinity Church since 1992. I have known Rev. Wright for almost 20 years,” he said at a Winston-Salem, North Carolina press conference Tuesday. “The person I saw yesterday is not the person I met 20 years ago.”

snip

“What particularly angered me was his suggestion somehow that my previous denunciation of his remarks were somehow political posturing,” said Obama, who added that Wright had shown “little regard for me” and seemed more concerned with “taking center stage.”

“It was antithetical to our campaign, it was antithetical to what we’re about,” he said. “I cannot prevent him from making these remarks” but “when I say I find these comments appalling I mean it. It contradicts what I’m about and who I am… it is completely opposed to what I stand for and where I want to take this country.”

In a break with previous comments, Obama focused his criticism on Wright the man, and not simply his remarks. “I gave him the benefit of the doubt before my speech in Philadelphia” where he addressed the subject of race. But “what we saw yesterday from Rev. Wright was a resurfacing and I believe an exploitation of these old divisions.”

Just as I suspected, this is a campaign ploy to remove Wright as the albatross around BHO’s neck once and for all… and cleverly timed and choreographed to occur *before* the last state primaries.

Dang Mata, I gotta hand it to you; YOU CALLED IT!
At first BHO plays nice with Jeremiah Wright, and Wright gets his time in the lime-light, and even bad publicity is good for sales of his upcoming book.
Now, as per your prediction, BHO is bringing down his “outrage” at the most recent words of Jeremiah Wright. As expected the MSM is now heralding BHO’s vision; trumpeting that this is the true BHO. Strange, but BHO never came to this epiphany during all his time in the pews at Jeremiah Wright’s feet. But, of course, such critical thinking is sadly lacking in the MSM coverage. I just hope McCain’s advisors were one step ahead of this like you were Mata; clearly Hillary’s people didn’t see the broadside coming just before the final primaries.
