When polling stopped in Michigan Romney and Huckabee were in a virtual tie. Looks like it will be a contest of money v. momentum.
The biggest news from NH was the voter turnout. It was huge. McCain’s victory came from support from Independents. His views on amnesty, torture, and global warming are much more moderate.

Winning in a very liberal state with lots of independents is not indicative of the ability to win in other states. McCain was heavily promoted by the media prior to Iowa, CNN was acting as an advertising agency for him. Huckabee is smart enough to moderate his views, but other than on Iraq McCain most resembles Obama with whom they cosponsored several bills. McCain is now claiming he will attract conservatives. What’s the appeal of McCain to any conservatives when you have Huckabee for the one-issue Evangelicals (who McCain is now courting in a funny way) and Fred and Romney (who is not a conservative but is saying many conservative things) for the rest? It’s just Iraq and the war on terror. I don’t believe that’s enough to carry McCain, not with the Amnesty thing so recent. There are relatively few people who care very strongly about the WOT and not at all about the Amnesty.

There are also more and more people seeing through the shame of “man made global warming”. Saying the believing the lie of the Church of Gore is “moderate” is an insult to the moderates.

Polls have seldom been accurate, but several showed a vast majority of American were against Amnesty for ILLEGAL aliens. Even with several percentage points of error, these pollls would still be an almost 2/3rds majority in many areas.

One of the articles I saw today in the Washington Post was that the left’s and some on the right’s (namely Huckabee) social plans cannot realistically be paid for without increasing taxes on everyone to the point of crushing the economy and even then they are only partially paid for.

People need to wake up to the fact that the nanny state is another failed idea in long line of fialed ideas from the socialists and “do it for the children” feel-good crowd. Bankrupting our kids to pay for a welfare state is not looking out for them.

Sorry, “shame” should be “sham” as in the big multi-billion dollar industry that is the “man made global warming” scam.

There is no Global Warming. There has not been any year hotter than 1998 since that year, yet the CO2 levels are higher. If people only new how the temperature data is gathered anyway they would hang their head in shame (well other than Al Gore, he has no shame).

Temp data has been a problem Igor. Something tells me the Greenies are holding thermometers over asphalt parking lots during periods of low wind.

I recall that the satellite measuring technology is not able to adequately measure temperature.

Yes, I was listening on the radio just a few days ago to a guy who set out to write a report on how different paints used today have affected temperature measurements in earth-based stations, and what he discovered, which was much more significant, was that they are moved arbitrarily, often from outside of buildings to inside, or from the roof to the parking lot, and nobody adjusts for that. This is just totally bogus data, and we are talking about fractions of degrees supposedly being important. They actually try to correct for the sensor location using the surrounding area measurement from satellites, but they can’t do anything about these small but highly significant moves.

The pre-vote hype by the lame stream media and the actual result should prove to anyone that the recent poll that shows less than 20% of the American public believe anything the lame stream media puts out as news is accurate.

Huck! Watch your back, your friend is coming after you.Mcshamnisty will rip your lungs out,” as Algore once said”, he has no friends only temporary allies.

On an aside, I just got a “robopoll” call from Huck supported research people.

There was a question of who I supported and they named 3 (Huckabee, McCain, and Romney) asking who I supported followed by slanted questions easily evaded. Responses were simple “yes/no” answers. So I said “no” to all three.

Honestly, I think I support Thompson the more I see. I do not think he may win the nomination, but I like his ideas more than most of the other Republicans and a WHOLE lot more than the socialists…err.. democrats.
