Now this woman wants to know why she is being charged. I think we just saw why.
Today we see reports that the daughter of Fred Phelps, Shirley Phelps-Roper, is in court asking a Sarpy County judge Monday to order prosecutors to spell out in writing why she is charged with flag mutilation, negligent child abuse, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and disturbing the peace. They say the details of those charges will be important to Phelps-Roper’s defense.

I learned about respect for the flag when I was about 6 years old. My teacher was my maternal grandfather, a school teacher and a Democrat. He joined the Army in 1917. Just a note for the “new” Democrats. By the way, he was the last real democat I have ever known.
He would have given me a severe whipping if I had treated the Colors in that manner and then the adult who thought it OK would have gotten one, also. And no one would have gone to jail. Back then there were consequences for actions.
