Interesting to take a look at the foreign policy advisors Obama and Clinton are aligning themselves with.
Perplexing that Hillary Clinton would add to her team Sandy Berger, who resigned from the Kerry campaign due to scandal, and who subsequently was sentenced for it. His pockets, after all, carry the political baggage of a bungled burgle.
My informed sources suggest that what Berger destroyed were copies of the Millennium After-Action Review, a binder-sized report prepared by Richard Clarke in 2000—a year and half before the 9-11 attacks. The review made a series of recommendations for a tougher stance against bin Laden and terrorism. There are 13 or more copies of this report. But only one contains hand-written notes by President Bill Clinton. Apparently, in the margin beside the recommendations, Bill Clinton wrote NO, NO, NO next to many of the tougher policy proposals.
You can see why Clinton might be happy to see these records vanish down the memory hole.
So Berger was stuffing in pants and socks and later shredding the evidence that President Clinton did not want to take a tougher line on bin Laden, following the 1998 attack on two U.S. embassies that killed 224 people (including 12 American diplomats).

I just can’t imagine that the actions of Mr. Berger do not merit much more jail time than the actions of Border Patrol agents Ramos and Compean. IMO, 20 years would be about right.

Think about it 42-49% of the nation has been misled into believing that GWB either masterminded the 911 attacks or knew about them and deliberately put 50-100,000 people in a life-threatening situation, deliberately leveled 2 zip codes, deliberately put the nation into recession, and deliberately put 1-2 million Americans out of work. I believe a great deal of this is based on the political disenfranchisement of the left and centrist Americans resulting from memories burned into their psyche (Kennedy assassinations, King assassination, Tet, Vietnam, Watergate, Ford’s apparent impotence, Carter’s malaise, the peak of the cold war/die-at-any-minute idea of the Reagan years, then the rampant investigations of the Clintons, the impeachment, the 2000 tie, and of course the 911 attacks which are in fact a conspiracy. A great number-millions-of Americans are upset by all these events, and have gone from skeptical to paranoid…even deliberately seeking conspiracy rather than face the ugliest truths of all: America has built up a post WWII debt of respect in the world, and now even nutjobs in the asshole of the world (the mts of Afghanistan/Pakistan) believe with reasonable certainty that they can impose their political will upon us….and they are succeeding.
They succeed not in getting us to reduce our liberty and freedom, but by creating a situation where politicians can play on a large demographic of tens of millions of Americans and convince them to seek surrender, appeasement, cooperation, or at the very least submission to Al Queda’s political will. AQ wants the US out of the gulf, so do the nutjobs. AQ wants the US to leave Iraq alone, so do the nutjobs. AQ wants the US to abandon Israel and let them fight off holocaust on their own, so do the nutjobs. AQ wants the US to withdraw from the planet and hide within 12miles of our coast, so do the nutjobs. AQ specifically says, VOTE FOR anti-war DEMS who seek the same objectives as AQ, and so do the nutjobs. All that’s left is a mass conversion to Islam, then an oath to UBL. That’s it. That’s all that they have to do to go all the way and join Al Queda in their anti-American politics. And politics it is as the Democrats who’ve been playing the “we don’t need to fight them” card since before the invasion of Afghanistan, are doing so not with the intent of actually doing this, but just saying it to get votes. That’s undeniable. They’ve taken power and refuse to end the war (which they could do in a heartbeat if they traded their other agenda items to Republicans in exchange for Republican votes to end the war). Nope. Deeds not words matter, and that’s why Democrats are at the lowest approval in history, and why their supporters are so desperate that they’ll believe anything the Democratic Party leaders say (those leaders being Moveon.org, George Soros, and pure panderers like Reid, Pelosi, Dean, Clinton, etc.). If Clinton chose a former AQ from Gitmo to head up a commission on fighting AQ, Dems would say it’s a good idea. They don’t care about reality anymore (as demonstrated in the difference between their words and their lack of deeds).

Maybe the best way to get the Berger case in the open is to have GWB appoint him as Nat Sec Advisor. Then the left would eat him alive as a “neocon” (see also UBL’s rant citing neocons).
Surprise, surprise, A Clinton aligns themselves with a convicted criminal. They don’t know anyone that isn’t a criminal.

Everyone has suspected that the margins contained something which would embarrass Billy, and him writing NO NO NO to the hardline recommendations against UBL would do it.

Now, why is it that Sandy Berger has never taken the Polygraph that was part of his plea deal? Don’t we have the right to know what was on those papers. The media spent more time covering Senator Larry Craig’s bathroom behavior than it did asking WHY Berger did what he did and WHAT was on those papers he destroyed.
We thought Slick Willie was slick, He couldn’t can’t hold a candle for his criminal wife. She’s going to return the $875,000 she got from a crimainal who evidently ripped off the money, but she’s asking the people that she returns it to, to return it to her. That is a master criminal at work.
