One thing you notice right away if you watch Michele B. for any length of time at all is her unwavering support of Israel.
Now, Ahmed plays MUSIC, which in some Sharia states would get him a death fatwa, so he’s not a conservative Muslim, if he practices Islam at all.
But he was born Ahmir Khalib Thompson and, like Barack Hussein Obama has made a practice of hiding his middle name.

Hatred of Israel has spread through the American black communities via black Muslim groups for decades.
Even many non-Muslim blacks hate Israel for reasons they cannot explain.

Ahmed allowed his hatred for Israel to color his choice of song when a well-known supporter of Israel was on her way out.

    Simple as that.

I will probably get nailed for this, but I happened to be listening to Rush Limbaugh when he commented on what the consequences would have been had Michelle O appeared as a guest and the band played one of Sir Mix-a-Lot’s ditties. I was driving at the time and almost laughed off the road. I commend the following to you all, for in addition to being very, very concerned about these folks, we also have to be able to laugh at them:

We may trust that the issue would have never emerged without the effort of the Fallon Show to be cute and creative. I don’t believe for a minute that the drummer managed this debacle on his own; let’s be serious, if you were Fallon, would you let a drugged out musician control a segment of the content of your show, your rice Bowl?

Skookum, I was hesitant to post that vignette as at my core I have great respect for the office of the President and a corresponding feeling toward to the First Lady. That hesitancy was overcome by my disdain for the present occupants as they seem to lack any respect at all for the traditions and significance of the office. More importantly, we have got to hang on to whatever humor we can and forget the PC restraints on what is ultimately free speech.

Disturber: I agree with you completely.

The position comes with a degree of respect an honor, much like a commission or rank in the military; however, when leaders display poor leadership or deficits in character, that position of respect is eroded, until the honor and respect is little more than a ceremonial position that is granted reluctantly.

The current residents of the White House managed to destroy the respect and honor that is inherent with the job within three years. Once that respect is lost, it is nearly impossible to regain. Besides, respect is given as a measure of character and integrity that must always be above and beyond the people you are trying to lead. Demanding respect from a begrudging public that sees through the corruption and lack of ability is a forlorn hope.

    Skookum,
Being the eternal optimist that I am, I believe that the right occupant of the White House could undo the damage caused by these usurpers. Whatever criticism could be leveled at George Bush, the dignity and the honor of the Presidency was assiduously maintained. As I am trying to understand the present crop of candidates, one of my considerations is just that, are they qualified to restore the respect that the office should command. I don’t believe this to be a small matter, for I do believe that the failure of leadership that emanates from the White House these days results from the feeling that many of us have that we are viewed with contempt and condescension just because we do not agree with our dear leader. If this wonderful country is to resume its greatness, those attitudes must not only cease, but must be roundly rejected.

Disturber : An enlisted man doesn’t lose respect for all officers because he catches one in a lie or sees an officer drunk and making a fool of himself, but I am afraid our next president will meet a demanding public with serious critics, and perhaps they should all be expected to be the best, rather than unknown commodities that represent wishful thinking. The intense scrutiny that all candidates will be under is a result of the present administration, and is an example of the caution that will be exercised by every member of the literate and lucid public. We have become harsh critics, but we can no longer afford a continuation of the amateur hour and gong show types of government. Let’s hope that the survivor of this intense scrutiny will measure up to our hopes and demands.

This was a late night talk show. They are supposed to be provocative. Is that the media? It is fair game to criticize them and even to stop watching., but blaming the media for everything is whiney and old. Unless you would level the same claim about Fox news your argument is simply you don’t like one form of bias, but you prefer another.

liberalman: It seems like the first thing that comes to the liberal mind when he disagrees with a conservative is to dish out insults and engage in nasty name calling. There is such a deep underlying anger on the left, buried in a pervasive assurance of self righteousness. The progressives are never wrong. Their policies are handed down as absolute truths from the heavens above. Anyone who disagrees is stupid, an idiot, incapable of understanding anything, let alone the problem at hand. The politics of personal destruction are the weapon of choice. If the facts don’t exist, they make them up. The quote you attribute to Bachmann is a perfect example. All of the phoney allegations against Palin are more examples. The absolute inability to acknowledge that their progressive policies are not working and frankly, have never worked is in their DNA. In almost every comment that I see either on the left side blogs, or by the visitors like you to sites like this, the name calling and insults and made up quotations are right from front street. Equating Bush to Hitler was a common theme. Insulting Jews and blaming them for all the ills in the world is another. Attributing sexual peccadilloes to conservative candidates while at the same time excusing Clinton (who paid Juanita Broderick and Paula Jones nearly $1 million each in settlements), Al Gore (who attacked a masseuse in a hotel room and paid her off), John Edwards (who is being prosecuted for using campaign funds to finance a mistress), and Ted Kennedy ( who was so turned on by the road head that he crashed his car and left his date to drown), is another liberal tactic.

In the meanwhile, it is ok for Pelosi to make millions of dollars on inside deals proffered to get her regulatory favor, and for John Keary, who has managed to serially marry extraordinarily rich women, to make nearly a million dollars trading on inside information. Too bad Pelosi didn’t follow up on her promise to drain the swamp. Perhaps the favorable opinion of Congress would have been higher than 8%.

I fervently hope that the American people have finally woken up to the hypocrisy, kleptomania and yes, incompetence that characterizes the current administration and the lackeys that cluster around. You progressives had your moment of glory and it will be many, many years before you get the reins again.
You took a shellacking in the 2010 election and there is more to come. You can bet on it.

    http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2011/sep/16/michele-bachmann/bachmann-hpv-vaccine-cause-mental-retardation/

Michele Bachmann IS a liar. Talk shows like Jimmy Fallon’s ARE just entertainment, they should not have to apologize for off-color humor. The Roots are a liberal band. Bachmann should have done herself some research to know what she was getting into.

This is not a race issue. You are correct to say that liberals would jump on the chance to point fingers and accuse someone of racism if the tables were turned. That doesn’t make it okay for YOU to do the same thing you condemn liberals for doing. This is NOT about race, this is about partisanship. As far as sexism against women goes, it is somewhat sexist. However, so is Bachmann’s position against a vaccine for HPV, which can cause cervical cancer and is the most common STI. So, which is worse, words that hurt, or diseases that kill?

To whomever was accusing liberals of using foul names for conservatives and making Hitler comparisons: It goes both ways. That is a moot point.

How about a few cites to examples where conservatives engage in the name calling and the insults on anything like the scale that the left wallows in? There is no more sure way to enrage a lefty than to disagree with them. The immediate reaction is rising anger, finger pointing and the good old standby, “It is Bush’s fault.” Harry Truman had it right when he said, “The buck stops here.” In the minds of liberals and in the mind of Obama, they have never done wrong and everything wrong is the fault of someone else. Wouldn’t it be refreshing for Obama to just once admit that his economic policies haven’t worked, because that is the unvarnished truth. And, if you want to call someone a liar, how about, “If you like your medical insurance, you will be able to keep it.” and “This bill will bend the costs of medical care down.” or, “This stimulus will keep unemployment below 8 percent.” You get the picture. It is a swamp and this President hasn’t the gumption, the integrity, the capacity and yes, the intelligence to lead this country out of the swamp. Why, because like the other denizens of the slime, he is too comfortable in it and besides, the golf course is way too much fun, and bottom line, he is just plain lazy.

Hey disturber, here’s some citable references for you, since you seem to turn a blind eye to your side’s wrongs:

Hank Williams Jr. compared Obama to Hitler. He is a conservative who says he would like to run as a Republican candidate for a Senate seat in Tennessee (my pitifully backwards state). He is about as relevant as Questlove and The Roots on Jimmy Fallon. In this case, he did get fired by ESPN, but who really cares (just like who really cares about The Roots trolling Bachmann)? It comes down to cause and effect, and how much money a network will lose from supporting political rhetoric. Apparently ESPN had more to lose by keeping Williams than NBC had to lose by keeping The Roots. The markets speak for themselves, do they not…? Here is an article about it:

    http://content.usatoday.com/communities/gameon/post/2011/10/ready-for-some-controversy-hank-williams-compares-golf-with-obama-to-hitler/1

Here’s a slew of racist, hateful, derogatory, perverse Tea Party rally signs. I have encountered HOARDS of these photos, and if you do a simple online search you will see for yourself:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCpwjvVaqyE

And here is a quote from Rush Limbaugh that is a straight-up lie:
“Guess what? Faisal Shahzad is a registered Democrat. I wonder if his SUV had an Obama sticker on it.” –Rush Limbaugh, lying about the failed Times Square car bomber, who is not registered to vote, May 4, 2010

Is that enough examples? I can do this all night…

As far as lies go, I did not say that liberals don’t lie. My point is that conservatives are JUST as dirty in their propaganda. How about you skip out on the poor rhetoric and anecdotal accusations against liberals and instead focus on this issue? We aren’t talking about Obama at all here…we are discussing how silly it is to make an issue out of this Lyin’ Ass Bitch song. Even if it is inappropriate, it’s true… you can’t deny Bachmann is a liar.

If conservative Americans want to do themselves a favor, they will stop supporting every single Republican candidate out there just for being on the same “side”. Don’t defend a liar like Bachmann.

    @see’emcall’em: You said:

Bachmann should have done herself some research to know what she was getting into.

So, she was supposed to be able to predict the future and know that the band was going to play a song to mock, humiliate and denigrate her?

There is a HUGE gap between someone telling a lie and someone making a gaffe or saying something without thinking it through.

Now for the HPV “lie” she supposedly told…

“There’s a woman who came up crying to me tonight after the debate. She said her daughter was given that vaccine,” Bachmann said on Fox News. “She told me her daughter suffered mental retardation as a result. There are very dangerous consequences.” – Source

Hmm, she said that a woman told her that her daughter had a bad reaction to the vaccine.

Yep, that’s GOT to be a lie!!

The CDC says on their website that 40 million doses of the HPV vaccines have been administered and out of the estimated 40 million, 20,096 cases of side effects were reported. In 92% of those cases, 8% were serious or life threatening. They also report 71 deaths from the vaccines, along with blood clots, Guillain-Barré syndrome, pain and swelling at the injection site (the arm), fever, dizziness, nausea, and fainting.

Now I am not suggesting that there is a connection between the HPV vaccine and mental retardation. What I am saying is that Michele Bachmann should have been a bit more careful in what she said. In the pressure of a national primary race, it is easy to get in over your head and saying something that might hurt you in the long run.

That being said, I fail to see how it makes her a liar.

Never has lyin’ ass bitch been an accepted term (except, perhaps with my ex-wife), but certainly not in describing a Presidential contender- that would be worse than calling Obama a “High Yeller”- at least that description’s true, albeit somewhat derogatory.
