The 2024 Trump Train Isn’t Slowing Down for Anything in Its Path

Never have so many done so much to derail one candidate during an election cycle as the Democrats, corrupt judges and prosecutors, and priority challenged Never Trump Republicans have done to keep Donald Trump from crossing the GOP nomination finish line in 2024.

Last year at this time, there weren’t many Republicans outside of the hardcore MAGA circle who were jumping with joy at the prospect of Trump being the Republican nominee for a third election. Fatigue had definitely set in, even among a lot of us who had very enthusiastically voted for him in 2020. We weren’t even weary about the thought of a Trump/Biden rematch because, let’s face it, none of us were drunk enough to believe that President LOLEightyonemillion would actually run again.

I’m not really convinced that Biden is fully aware that he’s running right now.

As we are all now very aware, the Trump Train ignored everything that got in its way, picking up steam — or whatever is all the rage for powering metaphorical trains these days — and making short work of the nomination race.

On Saturday, the Trump Train ran right through Nikki Haley’s back yard, absolutely destroying any fantasies that the “principled” Trump-hating Republican crowd had about the former governor’s electoral viability.

Chris took one for the team, and spent some weekend time covering the South Carolina primary:

The focus of the 2024 Republican primary moves to the Palmetto State this weekend with the South Carolina GOP primary. Unlike the Democrats who pushed their South Carolina primary as a quid pro quo to the state’s black supporters, the Republicans were content to keep the original primary date on the calendar.

The RealClearPolitics polling average has Donald Trump with a 25.3-point edge over Nikki Haley. No recent poll has had the former president with a lead of less than 15 points. Trump is poised to trounce Haley on her home turf — in the state where she served as a successful and popular governor.

Haley has vowed to stay in the race no matter what happens in South Carolina. The biggest topic of conversation is why she is still in the race. My gut tells me that it’s a combination of stubbornness and a hope against hope that she will be the last (wo)man standing if Trump’s legal troubles end up in a worst-case scenario.

Trump would end up defeating Haley in her home state by more than 20 percentage points. That’s not merely a convincing victory; that’s an electoral bloodbath, especially given how much more money Haley spent in the primary than Trump.

Nikki Haley has been giving off leftist-in-waiting vibes all during this primary season, so I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s rooting for the Democrats to eventually perpwalk Trump. Then again, I think that she’s reached the point where she believes the nonsense that the MSM has been writing about her to prop her up and is now drinking delusion for breakfast.

As my RedState colleague Ben Kew writes, Haley is going to have to soldier on without any of that sweet Koch money:

Americans for Prosperity (AFP), which is bankrolled by the multi-billion dollar Koch network, announced that it was pulling the plug on financial support for Haley on the grounds that it is no longer money being well spent.

Most would make the argument that it was never money well spent. AFP Action was bankrolling an extreme longshot and telling themselves all sorts of things to justify it. It always was nothing more than a well-financed anti-Trump tantrum.

I truly believe that the Democrats’ relentless legal assaults on Trump have played a huge role in the short work he’s made of his opponents in this primary.

Truthfully, I am totally tired of the constant whining, crying, attacks, lies, assaults, riots, murders, and lawfare of the left, but it has little or nothing to do with Trump himself. This is how the left behaves. It is their character and even once Trump is done and gone, it will continue until it is wiped out.

Their not going to be stopped by Liberal Pea-Brains sitting on the track

The American people will not accept a stolen election this time around. We should not have done so in 2020 but that is why we are where we are today.

Elections have consequences; stolen elections have catastrophic consequences.

Yep. Crew and passengers are ignoring all warnings that the bridge up ahead is out.

The bridge must have been Buttplug’s responsibility. Typically failed.

The titular leader of the Never Trumpers, Mitch McConnel, is jumping on board the Trump train.
So,  we can drop “priority challenged Never Trump Republicans” from the list, at least ostensibly.

McConnell team in talks with Trump camp about possible endorsement

Now, is he and his RINO buds sitting in a Trojan Horse, or, is this real?
They (RINOs) should not be trusted to be in any appointed positions by Trump, at least at first.
That means no to a RINO as VP, too.

Also RINO Jeb Bush is not to be trusted even as he says:
Jeb Bush Speaks Out – Warns that the Government’s Weaponization against Donald Trump and Elon Musk Poses a Grave Threat to America

02/25/24 – Trump’s demographic problem

If America were dominated by old, white, election-denying Christians who didn’t go to college, former President Trump would win the general election in as big of a landslide as his sweep of the first four GOP contests.

Why it matters: It’s not. That’s why some top Republicans are worried about the general election in November, despite Trump’s back-to-back-to-back-to-back wins in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina…

Why not just link to Politico? Or CNN, Buyden has his own demographics problems aside from Democrat voters waiting for him to take a sudden dirt nap so he can be replaced.

Nazis mingle openly at CPAC –

…At the Young Republican mixer Friday evening, a group of Nazis who openly identified as national socialists mingled with mainstream conservative personalities, including some from Turning Point USA, and discussed “race science” and antisemitic conspiracy theories.

One member of the group, Greg Conte, who attended the deadly 2017 Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, said that his group showed up to talk to the media. He said that the group was prepared to be ejected if CPAC organizers were tipped off, but that never happened…

Do they have a list of these Nazis? Everything is antisemitic today is the ADL is off the chain. Dont like the genocide happening in Gaza, dont want to fund it by more government debt. Talk about tunnels in NY. All I can say about that is…

How long was the KKK welcome at democrat events? I dont think all democrats are KKK. Biden called one a mentor and has multiple racist quotes.

They’re still welcome. They just don’t wear the sheets.

Robin Ware/Robert L. Peters/JRB Ware/Pedo Peter/idiot Biden is worried he is losing his massive anti-Semitic bloc of the Democrats, so he has started his abandonment of Israel. The vast majority of racists, anti-Semites and fascists are within the Democrat party. Look at the Hamas support riots and how Robin Ware/Robert L. Peters/JRB Ware/Pedo Peter/idiot Biden is trying to kiss their asses to get them to support him. Only Democrats seek the support of those who support terrorism.

Don’t forget, leftists like to dress up like “Nazis” and pretend to be Republicans. See, the only way you leftists can have something to criticize about the right is to create it yourselves.

02/27/24 – Supreme Court Could Make ‘Very Rare’ Move Against Donald Trump

The Supreme Court may take the “very rare” step of releasing a ruling against Donald Trump in the presidential immunity argument without waiting to include a dissenting opinion believed to be delaying proceedings, according to legal experts.

The decision from the nation’s highest court on whether it will reject or proceed with Trump’s claim that he can cite absolute immunity to dismiss Special Counsel Jack Smith‘s election obstruction case could arrive any day now.

The delay in the historic ruling, which still has not arrived several days after briefings were filed and completed, has led to speculation the Supreme Court will uphold the previous ruling from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit that rejected Trump’s claims of absolute immunity. The process is currently on hold as one of the judges is believed to be writing a dissent from the decision.

The timing of the SCOTUS decision is also having a knock-on effect on proceedings against Trump. Judge Tanya Chutkan, who is overseeing the federal trial, has already put proceedings on hold pending the appeal process, within the original March 4 start of the trial already scrapped.

Trump, the expected 2024 Republican presidential nominee, has long faced accusations that he is taking every step possible to delay the start of both his federal trials until after November’s election.

That’s not an accusation. It’s an observation.

Steve Vladeck, a law professor at the University of Texas, was one of those who suggested that there is a chance that the Supreme Court will release a ruling that denies Trump’s immunity claim, even if the dissenting opinion is not written yet.

Vladeck noted that in 2019, Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito issued a written dissent six weeks after SCOTUS voted to stay the execution of a Texas prisoner.

“It’s rare, but it’s not unheard of,” Vladeck posted on X, formerly Twitter.

Responding to the post, lawyer and legal analyst Lisa Rubin wrote: “In other words, if there are five justices ready to deny Donald Trump a stay, they can decide his motion without waiting for the dissenters to finish their work, especially if any are dragging their feet.”

Attorney and legal analyst Jeffrey Evan Gold agreed that SCOTUS releasing a stay ruling without a dissenting opinion is “very rare”.

In a separate post, Gold speculated that the delay in the immunity decision shows that conservative SCOTUS justices like Alito or Clarence Thomas are “back dooring” a delay for Trump by “dragging their feet on a dissent.”

The Supreme Court has been contacted for comment via email.

Note that the “very rare” Supreme Court action is due to the Democrat’s fascist lawfare, a desperate attempt and election interference and to try and prop the disastrous, corrupt, incompetent pedophile, Robin Ware/Robert L. Peters/JRB Ware/Pedo Peter/idiot Biden, up a bit.
