George, why would I care about gay organizations, either Dimocrat or Republican? How do I benefit by keeping up with what they are doing? I’m sure they’re just all making fools of themselves, why would I care? They’re not going to benefit in any substantial way and are only wasting their time.

Well, for starters, “caring” isn’t at all what WE were addressing. The subject was your IGNORANCE about those whom YOU chose to talk about, and to my mind, talking about a subject that you’re ignorant about is, well, IGNORANT!

Well, for starters, “keeping up” helps prevent you from making a fool of yourself when you say something stupid, or when you reach a wrong conclusion for lack of information.
