Does the name Jesse Macbeth sound familiar?
I know my fellow authors are familiar with this yahoo’sĀ story.
For those coming late to the party, I presentĀ Jesse MacBeth, a disgraced soldier and beloved member of IVAW (Iraq Veterans Against War).Ā He recently spent time in prison when he was found guilty of falsifying a Veteran Affairs claim and an Army discharge record.Ā He was one of the first charged under the Stolen Valor Act.

Back in 2006, he was the darling of the anti-war movement with his scathing claims of war crimes being committed by his fellow soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan.Ā All of which were fabricated.
Now it seems Jesse is outing IVAW and their role in his rise to fame and infamy. He talks of IVAW ‘higher ups’ having a hand in altering his DD214:

Has his basic training story been checked out? If this really happened, there needs to be an investigation. If it is another pack of lies this video needs to be shut down. If it is true the DI needs some major help.

Some of the statements made by Jesse in this video have been proven over at TAH.
As for the hazing? I don’t completely believe Jesse entirely on this, as there is no hard evidence to back up his claims.

Their political opposition was never aimed at you or stopping the war. They only wanted to use you, your efforts, and the hard work of all men and women who served over there as political tools. That’s all you were to them, and (aside from multiple links and videos of them admitting that), the proof is simple: in 2006, they played like they wanted to end the war by passing “non-binding” resolutions of opposition rather than cutting off your food and ammo. In 2007, when the election was well underway, they shut up. In the 2008, once Obama and Dems won…they’ve embraced staying until the job is done (the Bush policy). Pieces of garbage like this twit who is only now coming forward deserve extremely harsh punishments, but that should equally extend to elected pieces of garbage who similarly degraded and opposed you and others who fought, (and 40,000 other Americans who were killed or wounded). Dick Durbin, equated you guys w NAZIs and Soviet Gulags. Kerry said your stupid. Pelosi ordered that “global war on terror” no longer be allowed to be even mentioned in govt docs under Dem control of govt. Obama said American pilots are basically just carpet bombing villages in Afghanistan. I’d venture to say that I could easily find a quote in the Congressional record from every single Democrat that degrades the efforts of American servicemen and women…until Obama was elected.
Now…they’re all about not only supporting the troops, but the troops’ efforts to succeed.
Paul, in the end…you won, and they won. You did a great thing, and they (Congressional Dems and their supporters like this lying twit in the original post) played partisan politics over patriotism; the opposite of what you did.
If that pisses you or other veterans off…then you’re gonna have to say so…a lot
I haven’t been in the Military since 1971 but I can’t believe that they’ve changed the requirements for a proper salute. Am I remembering incorrectly?

I did not mean taken down from Flopping Aces, but rather from u tube. I guess I was not clear, sorry. I just hate to see this man do more damage to the image of the Military. The Army treated me well, and I have a lot of respect for all that served.

ANY freakin attention at all to what McCain or Obama said, you’d have voted for neither, as a deployed soldier i did not receive a ballot and therefore did not get to vote for the only TRUE AMERICAN in this election, RON PAUL. so i don’t sympathize with any of these guys whining about people falsifying their documents and stuff, if you want to speak out against the war, do it. you don’t have to join ivaw or any other group that i only agree with some of what they’re saying, because i certainly don’t think we should give “Reparations for the human and structural damages Iraq has suffered”, because i think we’ve done enough in this country already, we need to get home and stay home, and deal with the issues we have there. i move for secession of any states who wish to remove themselves from this horrid outcome in Nov. and start anew.
