When Grandma dies of Corona virus, let the kids know what was more important to democrats than her life

Loading

The third part of the Corona (Chinese Wuhan) virus has been twice stalled today by democrats. It was reported that last night that an agreement between Republicans and Democrats was reached on the relief bill.

Instead, democrats pulled a a bait and switch with their own bill. In that bill is a democrat liberal fantasy wish list- a garbage grab bag. Among the things more important than your family dying:

  • Airline carbon emission footprint
  • Payment for up to $10,000 in student loans
  • Same-day voter registration, early voting, voting by mail, ballot harvesting
  • Collective bargaining
  • The expansion of wind and solar tax credits for solar panels
  • Requirements for federal and corporate gender and racial diversity data for corporations that accept Federal bailout money
  • Automatic extension of nonimmigrant visas
  • Restricting colleges from providing information about citizenship status
  • Money for Planned Parenthood

This attempt to leverage a grace health crisis is abominable. democrats are f**king idiots. When they tell you they care about you, they’re LYING. When they tell you they care about the country, they’re LYING.

This is not mindless, however. They do have something in mind and it’s this, courtesy of Rep. James Clyburn:

“This is a tremendous opportunity to restructure things to fit our vision.”

Screw your Grandma. Let her die. Let your kids die. Let your wife die.

After all, You never let a serious crisis go to waste.”

democrats suck. Absolutely suck.

Wow, just Wow! absolutely amazing. Nothing at all in the Dimocrats agenda to help the Virus crisis. Only Politicing for the next election. How anyone with any semblance of a brain could support the Dimocrats in this socialist agenda is beyond any reason. This one bill, in itself is going to totally destroy the Liberal Dims. They have gotten on a float in the ocean with a big hole and the air is leaking out. No rescue for them in sight

Do not rely on the Government, do not look to them to be good and honest representatives. Up to 2 trillion, every lobbyist on their phones looking for handouts for favors. Like good sheep we allowed them to take away our rights. We know these “temporary” measures , for our own good like the Patriot act never just go away. Now only essential businesses can operate, like good slaves we will be told what they think is essential and what they will grant us to have. It is illegal to horde what they call emergency supplies assured its only warehouses of medical supplies held by price gougers. I remember With Food Scarce, Government Accused Bakers Of Hoarding : The Salt Authorities control flour, and bakers say there isn’t enough. But officials say bakers are diverting flour to more profitable brownies and trying to bring down the government of Venezuela. Then they fingerprinted shoppers.
So when they say they will be totally financially irresponsible to forward their agenda, it sorta gives me the willies.
What is the exit strategy?

You realize whenever a political party fights as hard as Dems do for the killing of more and more babies, that killing grandma is almost a feature, not a bug.

Just tell me how big are the carbon footprints of Al Gore,Leonardo DiCaprio,John Travolta and Laurie David as well as the rest of the jet Set Liberal Do as i say not as i do liberal Democrats? and the various Eco-Freaks and their Fearless Leaders

Dr. John, it’s hard to know the accuracy of your list as it’s linked to several disinformation and Trump enabling sources. And then of course, there’s, well, you.

Most sane people know why we can’t trust Trump with a $500,000,000,000 blank check.

Politico has a more accurate description.

Bigger cash payments to Americans
Democrats want to further plump the direct payments that would go out to Americans under the bill, proposing $1,500 per person, instead of the $1,200 on the table under the Senate measure laid out Sunday. Unlike the latest plan from Senate Republicans, however, higher earners would have to pay back part or all of the assistance over three years if their taxable income is $75,000 or more for a single filer or $150,000 or more for couples filing jointly. The money would be available to anyone with a tax ID number, and to retirees and people who are unemployed, rather than just to people who file taxes for 2019 or get Social Security.

More help to hospitals
Health care providers and community health centers would receive about $150 billion, while hospitals would get an additional $80 billion in low-interest loans. The proposal is more in line with industry requests, compared to the $75 billion Senate Republicans have offered. The House bill would also waive treatment costs, abandon certain barriers to accessing medicines and provide safety protections for health workers.

Expanding unemployment, paid sick leave
The unemployed would get an extra $600 per week on top of state or federal benefits in order to replace 100 percent of lost wages. The measure would also extend paid sick leave benefits to cover individuals, such as health care workers and first responders, who were cut out of Congress’ second coronavirus response.

Emergency funding for federal agencies
House Democrats want to go much bigger in sending emergency money to federal agencies, proposing hundreds of billions more than the $242 billion Senate Republicans have pitched, according to a Democratic aide. The White House, meanwhile, has made a narrowly tailored request for $46 billion.

‘Green’ rules for airlines
If airlines are going to get billions of dollars in loans under the bill, Democrats say they need to cut their carbon emissions in half by 2050. The House’s measure would also kick in $1 billion to help develop sustainable fuels for planes and create a program for the government to buy less-efficient aircraft, à la “cash-for-clunkers.”

Tax plans from different planets
The two stimulus drafts emerging from both chambers present markedly different stimulus tax plans, with House Democrats omitting the payroll tax suspension included in the Senate GOP bill. The Democratic plan would also expand health insurance premium tax credits under the Affordable Care Act and beef up the Earned Income Tax Credit, the Child Tax Credit and the Dependent Care Credit.

Taxpayers could make early withdrawals from their retirement funds without having to pay the usual 10 percent penalty during the coronavirus crisis, and required minimum withdrawals would be suspended for 2020. Health insurance premium tax credits under the Affordable Care Act would be expanded.

Laying on the lobbying restrictions
The House bill goes much further than the Senate measure when it comes to limiting executive pay and stock buybacks, as well as imposing lobbying restrictions. For example, the House package would bar such corporations from lobbying the federal government — a move sure to arouse anger on K Street among Democratic and Republican lobbyists alike.

Business tax relief
Companies would get credits against payroll taxes for giving employees any kind of sick or family medical leave, not just for coronavirus-related reasons.

Businesses would get to deduct losses from this year, last year and 2018 from their taxes for any of the last five years. The Senate bill includes a similar “carry back” provision. The House did not include provisions allowing faster write-offs for restaurant and retail business investments or bigger deductions for business interest, both of which are in the Senate bill.

Aid for airlines
Airlines would receive about $40 billion in grants through the House package, as well as up to $21 billion for unsecured loans and loan guarantees for a total of $61 billion in aid. Senate Republicans have proposed $58 billion in loans and guarantees, plus a holiday from paying fuel tax.

Smaller increase for the Pentagon
House Democrats would give the Defense Department an $8 billion emergency boost, including $500 million for purchases made under the Defense Production Act. The Senate GOP bill would provide the Pentagon with a $10 billion hike.

Extra aid for small businesses
Democrats are pitching $500 billion in grants and interest-free loans to small businesses, including $300 billion in forgivable loans to cover short-term payroll costs. That compares to $300 billion in loans for small businesses in the Senate bill.

Outlawing internet cutoffs
While hundreds of internet providers have already promised they will not cut off service to households and small businesses while the coronavirus rages, the bill would ensure it’s illegal to do so.

Further action from the Fed
Consumer debt payments would be suspended and the Federal Reserve would have to establish a program to reimburse creditors for lost revenue. The central bank would also have to support state and local bond markets, in addition to providing direct loans to small businesses.

Flush with food assistance
The bill includes an extra $450 million boost to food banks, as well as whatever funds are “necessary” to account for more people in need of food stamps. Senate Republicans had proposed about $15.6 billion in food stamp assistance.

Rewarding nonprofits
Hospitals would qualify for tax credits for charity care they provide and for creating or expanding facilities to handle the coronavirus patient load. Governmental employers, including public universities, would get tax credits for mandated worker leave due to the coronavirus.

Penalizing price-gougers
The FTC and top lawyers at the state level would get more power to go after people and companies that price-gouge during the pandemic.

Keeping utilities on
Besides spending $1.5 billion to help low-income households pay water bills, the House legislation would ban utility providers from cutting off service during the crisis.

Doubling up on education cash
Democrats are calling for $60 billion in emergency assistance to go out for education initiatives, about three times the amount the Senate bill contains. That total includes $30 billion to help K-12 schools, as well as $10 billion for colleges and universities.

Saving the T-band for first responders
By doing away with a mandate that the FCC sell off the T-band, the plan Democrats are pushing would make winners out of first responders in the ongoing fight over auctioning the spectrum they use for emergency communications.

Here’s a few more;

How one Trump tweet put a deal in doubt.

The Coronavirus Bailout Stalled. And It’s Mitch McConnell’s Fault

A bit off topic but “When Grandma dies of Corona virus, let the kids know what was more important”, here’s a good one for you, “Trump Won’t Order Vital Coronavirus Supplies Because Corporate CEOs Asked Him Not To“.

And speaking of Grandma, Andy Slavitt reminds us of what we’ve gained from the Affordable Care Act 10 years after its passage by Democrats.

.

So, if someone would want to argue with the above so-called “Trump enabled” list, they would post the same list, from politico, that actually validates the initial claims of the Dems using this crisis for a wish-list? Well, not everyone is as smart as me, I guess.

Good job to the private sectors who have mobilized to get the masks, ventilators, and other things we need produced. Trump ordered vital coronavirus supplies as soon as possible, and the hospitals are getting what they need.

Also good that he’s reserving the Defense Production Act for when we really need it, having deplored the National Guard to hard hit areas like NYC, Cali, and Washington State. Army Corp of Engineers, too.

Cuomo and many Dem Governors really wanted to win their titles, but didn’t necessarily want to do the job when a real crisis hit. That’s a shame.

The “blame Trump because I can’t do my job” isn’t going to fly with the voters, no matter how many disinformation pieces Vanity Fair (a fashion magazine) and the like publish.

Also fun to point out to leftists how the government works, as they seem to think we live in a communist dictatorship when things go wrong. Local, State, Federal…in that order.

Per a Monmouth University poll;

More Americans say President Trump has done a good job (50%) rather than bad job (45%) dealing with the coronavirus outbreak. Governors, though, get even better ratings for handling the outbreak, with 72% of the public saying their state’s governor has done a good job to just 18% a bad job. Opinion of how Trump has dealt with the crisis is decidedly partisan, with the number saying he has done a good job ranging from 89% of Republicans to 48% of independents and 19% of Democrats. Public praise for the nations’ governors is much more bipartisan at 76% of Democrats, 73% of Republicans, and 67% of independents saying their governor has done a good job dealing with the situation.

Seems I recall GWB approval shooting up to something near 90%. People generally want to rally around their leaders at such times. So again, Trump God remains infallible to his cultist, even when taking advantage of a national crisis to loot suffering Americans of $500,000,000,000 to divvy out among the most wealthy.

In the meantime, Tx Lt Gov Dan Patrick says grandparent should be willing to die to protect capitalist on a News network downplaying the virus and selling it as a hoax and “caronavirus impeachment scam” yet the Murdoch family called off a planned birthday party out of concern of the family’s health.

It’s interesting that today’s so-called conservatives who have always been hell bent on not trusting the government are all of a sudden ignoring and denying any negativity of the leader of the government and solely trusting the government to tell them what to believe and not what to believe.

A question: Can’t Mitch call for the nuclear option and pass the bill with out all the added nonsense?

Harry Reid would have done it.

@DrJohn:

Trump signed an EO banning price gouging and Barr promised to nail violators

Well, golly, I guess, as long as Barr promised. Speaking of selling, how about a good deal on a wall that Mexico will pay for?

Looks like things may be coming around though as the WH has agreed to oversight on the slush fund/heist for the rich. When asked who would perform oversight of the program, Trump responded “I’ll be the oversight.”

What could possibly go wrong?

A good explanation of things, and a good list:

As more and more state and local governments issue orders for businesses to close and residents to shelter in place, economic activity — outside of toilet paper hoarding — has ground to a halt. A bipartisan bill with wide support, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, has made its way through Congress. The president has said he’ll sign it as soon as it hits his desk. Republicans and Democrats negotiated it all weekend. It provides financial relief to industries, businesses, and individuals impacted by the coronavirus pandemic while also fortifying hospitals and clinics across the country.

So, of course, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer have halted it.

Over at Townhall, Katie Pavlich reports on the liberal Christmas list that Pelosi and Schumer are demanding to move the bill forward:

According to a source close to the process on Capitol Hill, in order to move forward with any kind of relief package, Pelosi and her far-left Democrat caucus will demand the following be included:

-Publication of corporate pay statistics by race and race statistics for all corporate boards

-A bail out on all current debt at the Postal Service

-Required early voting

-Required same day voter registration

-Provisions on official time for union collective bargaining

-Full offset of airline emissions by 2025

-Publication and reporting of greenhouse gas statistics for individual flights

-Retirement plans for community newspaper employees

-Federal $15 minimum wage

-Permanent paid leave

-Study on climate change mitigation efforts

The provisions will apply to the companies and business rescued by bill.

The Dems are going to lose the House over this.

@Redteam:

They have gotten on a float in the ocean with a big hole and the air is leaking out. No rescue for them in sight

Just sail by and watch them sink. If you rescue them, they’ll destroy YOUR raft, too.

@Ronald J. Ward:

the accuracy of your list… we… trust

Well, that’s good to know.

Trump… remains infallible

All right, AJ! Glad to see you coming around to reality!

In the meantime, Tx Lt Gov Dan Patrick says grandparent should be willing to die to protect capitalist on a News network downplaying the virus and selling it as a hoax

I am very interested to see your link to his actual words. Of course, you won’t provide it and, of course, yet another of your lies will be cast aside.

conservatives… are…always… trusting the government

Well, I see by your own words, you have come back around. Good boy. Now… SIT.

@Nathan Blue:

Also fun to point out to leftists how the government works, as they seem to think we live in a communist dictatorship when things go wrong. Local, State, Federal…in that order.

Indeed, how many times do you hear that the Republicans should have done this or that because they control the Senate, ignoring the 60 votes needed to pass most legislation. They choose to be ignorant because knowledge destroys their belief system.

@DrJohn: Ward likes debunked lies. A fashion rag is a great place to get news? Vanity Fair quotes the NYTimes, a purveyor of the Russian conspiracy theory, next he will go to Better Homes and Gardens who will quote Washington Post and CNN.
The Left thinks it would be faster and less expensive for the tax payer to first sell to the Feds who out bid the states, then the states to ask the Feds for it. The Fed must decide who needs the supplies the most then they will deliver. Makes perfect sense to them, obviously they were informed by a source who only tells them this stuff anonymously.
Those who are working from home and never miss a paycheck will also get the government checks?

@Ronald J. Ward:

In the meantime, Tx Lt Gov Dan Patrick says grandparent should be willing to die to protect capitalist on a News network downplaying the virus and selling it as a hoax and “caronavirus impeachment scam”

This has to be one of the biggest lies you have ever told here, AJ/Ward.. What Lt. Governor Patrick said was pure common sense, something you seem to have no relationship with.

Our nation cannot sustain a long, enduring shutdown. I would remind you of the Great Depression and how not even a world war managed to restore our nation to its former self. And no, Fox News is not selling the Chi-Com virus as a hoax. It is televising Chi-Com virus all day, all night, reporting on how some states (like New York and California) are handling hot spots.

Of course, no mention from you how the NYSlimes and the Washington Compost told all of us in the beginning there was nothing to worry about and the news on Chi-Com virus was just all hype. The Washington Compost even went so far as to promote the Chinese New Year celebration in NYC and encouraged people to attend.

So no one should ever put any stock in what you say because all you know how to do is lie. Guess that is why you are a Democrat.

@Deplorable Me: Everyone needs to be vigilant, and there’s no perfect solutions here. I liked that Trump relaxed a bit yesterday and didn’t spare with the media as much. The have a pre-determined set of headlines they want to run, and just bait Trump and others into saying things they will take out of context. I can say I wouldn’t be a free with the Press as Trump is, and would perhaps consider limiting them the way Obama did (worse than anyone), though that’s doesn’t reflect well on me.

The Left is in full Propaganda mode, weakly defending the Dems’ actions in a vain attempt at damage control. They have to paint the false narrative that Trump and the country isn’t doing enough, which is just demonstrably false.

When you have to get your news from a fashion magazine, you know you’re scraping for garbage info to support a rapidly-disintegrating worldview.

@Deplorable Me:

Here is Dan Patrick’s statement that prompted his appearance on Tucker Carlson’s show:

“I don’t pretend to be speaking for everyone 70 plus, but I think there are lots of grandparents who would agree with me that I want my grandchildren to live in the America I did. I want them to have a shot at the American dream. But right now this virus, what all the experts say that 98% of all people will survive, is killing our country in another way, it could bring about a total economic collapse and potentially collapse our society. So I say, let’s give this a few more days or weeks but after that, let’s go back to work and go back to living. Those that want to shelter in place can do so. But we can’t live with this uncertainty.”

Of course, the left wing jumped on that statement claiming “Dan Patrick wants seniors to die.” Here are some video ledes:

Yahoo video says “Caronavirus: Senior citizens should risk being infected to save U.S.”

TMZ – “TX Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick Rejects Social Distancing, Seniors Need To Risk

Reddit – r/Dallas Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick spurns shelter in place

Of course, none of those ledes are true. But those like AJ/Ward will only read the false headlines. Seems like FA has its fair amount of lying, leftwing loonies.

@Nathan Blue:

The have a pre-determined set of headlines they want to run, and just bait Trump and others into saying things they will take out of context.

Again, notice how Cuomo doesn’t get those stupid, time-wasting, gotcha questions. Clearly, the KNOW how to behave… they simply choose not to.

When NBC is calling out Democrats, the facts CANNOT be hidden.

https://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/kyle-drennen/2020/03/23/nbc-actually-calls-out-dems-playing-politics-virus-relief

@retire05: If they didn’t have lies, what would Democrats have to say? AJ is just their most shameless spokesperson here.

@Deplorable Me:

: If they didn’t have lies, what would Democrats have to say? AJ is just their most shameless spokesperson here.

#1) Most people 70+ are retired and can stay (and are staying) sheltered in place.

#2) Everyone I know over 70 is having friends and neighbors shop for them. Our main grocer, HEB, has created a “personal shopper” plan where a volunteer will deliver groceries for a nominal fee that goes back into the charity to help those who don’t have the money for the fee. Groceries are dropped off at their door.

#3) Seniors are communicating with other seniors on how to deal with the virus; shelter in place, spraying things like surfaces, plastic bags, etc., with bleach solution (per a nurse friend; one cup of bleach to a gallon of water) and soap and water hand washing for 20 seconds and warm water rinse. Recipes using normal held items are being passed between friends to help with cooking issues

#4) Doctor’s offices in my area are not letting patients sit in waiting rooms but taking them immediately to examination rooms so that patients remain at least six feet away from other patients. Staff is in protective gear, N95s and are gloved.

For us, we have a bag of N95 masks that we bought quite a while ago. Those will be used when we have to leave the house for important reasons.

Why should Pelosi demand a 50 state “ballot harvesting” policy as part of the coronavirus bill?
All ballot harvesting is is unscrupulous people filling out ballots for people who have died, moved away, become mentally incapacitated and some even unqualified to vote because they are not citizens.
There is no system to verify these ballots in Pelosi’s bill.
They must be accepted and counted based on faith.
(Otherwise: racism!)

Why should the Pelosi bill demand President Trump drop the ObamaCare case now in the Supreme Court, even tho the case is NOT a federal case, but was brought by various states!?

@retire05: My inlaws in are in their 80’s and living in an independent living facility. They are now relegated to their rooms, having their meals brought to them. My mother in law, a phenomenal cook, hates the food there (mostly), as does her husband. Yesterday, we took them some fried chicken, which we have to hand off at the door. We can see her and wave.

I’ve told them, regardless of the discomforts, they are in the safest place imaginable.

I’ll be 67 next month.

@Nan G: Because Pelosi has lost all hope of winning a fair election.

@Nan G:

Because that was one of the provisions in HB1 that passed only to die in the Senate. Here is the language in Malig-Nancy’s bill:

“A) shall permit a voter to designate any person to return a voted and sealed absentee ballot to the post office, a ballot drop-off location, tribally designated building, or election office so long as the person designated to return the ballot does not receive any form of compensation based on the number of ballots that the person has returned and no individual, group, or organization provides compensation on this basis; and (B) may not put any limit on how many voted and sealed absentee ballots any designated person can return to the post office, a ballot drop off location, tribally designated building, or election office.”

IOW, people can be paid for ballot harvesting, just not paid on the number of ballots they harvest.

She also wants “same day” registration which would allow people to vote in one state only to drive to another state and register even if they don’t have local I.D.

Why should the Pelosi bill demand President Trump drop the ObamaCare case now in the Supreme Court, even tho the case is NOT a federal case, but was brought by various states!?

Because the Dems know that Obamacare is a total failure and did not keep any of the promises that were made. Remember, Pelosi said “We have to pass the bill (Obamacare) so you can read what’s in it” or something to that effect.

If Dem actions the last few days is not a harbinger of things to come if they take both the Senate and White House, then I don’t know what is. Power, not people, are important to Malig-Nancy and her ilk.

@retire05: Nancy thinks people can’t figure out what this “vote harvesting” scheme is.

Predictably, the NYT has a opinion piece titled “Trump Thinks He Knows Better than the doctors about coronavirus”.

You could see the rabble “journalists” teeing up this nonsense yesterday, with their sculpted questions.

So easy to see these guys coming now.

NYC is going to vote Blue anyway, so who cares?

(that’s a joke…^^^…lol)

@Deplorable Me:

Trump… remains infallible

All right, AJ! Glad to see you coming around to reality!

Your exact words not taken out of context. A clear admission that nothing matters. Ever. If Trump murders, in your mind it isn’t wrong as he’s infallible.

It took you long enough to finally openly admit that?

@Ronald J. Ward: Well, I just use the same standards for quoting you as you do for quoting Trump or any other Republican. I didn’t think you would mind.

Those were YOUR words. YOU wrote them. YOU posted them. Came directly from YOUR statement.

When Grandma dies of Corona virus, let the kids know what was more important to democrats than her life

Exhibit A:

Pumping Blood Into The Economy: Dan Patrick Invites Seniors To Make The Ultimate Sacrifice

There’s no need to read the article. Just watch the FOX News video clip.

@Greg: Oh, no… no need to read the article. Just believe the headline.

Show me where he suggested seniors die. We’ll wait.

@Greg: You and your party are poised to take whatever comes and twist it into partisan rhetoric. It really doesn’t matter what is true…it’s what you want to be true in the minds of the naive.

@retire05:

What Lt. Governor Patrick said was pure common sense, something you seem to have no relationship with.

I thought it was rather timely considering Dr John invoked “Grandma” in his accusation creed.

Ironically Nathan states above: ““Trump Thinks He Knows Better than the doctors about coronavirus” and “NYC is going to vote Blue anyway, so who cares?” just at a timing when Trump tells Fox News anchor Bill Hemmer that NYC funding is contingent as “They have to treat us well”. In other words, they have to kiss Trump’s ass or people will die. People who don’t kowtow to this cult are dispensable.

This is what the Coranavirus Party of Trump has turned into.

Trump and his corporately owned Republican/Russian party are consumed with greed and ugliness putting their own profiteering over the lives of their country and countrymen (unless of course, those countrymen are filthy rich).

The below link is an opinion, not meant to be factual journalism but it does resonate on what you guys have turned into.

A viral plea to let grandparents sacrifice themselves captures a truth about Trump

Trump has announced a goal of everything back to normal by Easter Sunday. He says everyone can just practice social distancing while filling churches. I’m sure everyone here agrees with that infallible conclusion.

Here’s my prediction of FA and Dr John for the near future. Dr. Anthony Fauci will be the thorn in this initiative. Fox News, ANON, Gatewaypundit, and a few more are already in damage control mode to discredit Fauci. You will be here with them. You will follow suit. It’s what Trump needs so it’s what you’ll do. Honesty and reality are irrelevant.

Luckily, Trump and the WH are pursuing the right path right now. The experts don’t all agree (as they shouldn’t), but our executive branch, headed by our Commander in Chief, has some very hard decisions to make…and you see him embracing that position with both humility, yet clear ownership.

The detractors in the media can’t change much, and we’re going to get an aid package one way or another. The delay will only hurt Dems, and do nothing to Reps.

Hospital beds are in few number IN NEW YORK CITY, and not the rest of the country. Cuomo and Trump are working hard, and working together, to do everything they can.

It’s not a good time for the Dems to be profiteering off the backs of dead Americans, but it’s really the only power that they have right now. Short term gain, long term loss (of the House), for sure.

This is also a lesson for the less…thoughtful of us, to learn a bit about how our Republic works. The Federal government is not like the Red Party in Communist China. They do not have absolute control.

Funny all the silly talk about “Trump thinking he’s a King”, and now incompetent Dem Governors wish Trump would just do their jobs for them…like an autocrat.

A long awaited reckoning for the Dem Party, this is. We’ll see who’s standing on the other side, getting medals from Trump.

Also, it’s funny how the Left is covering up how their party is costing lives by the relief bill delay by coming up with “memes” how Grandparents show sacrifice themselves…because…uh…uh…Trump.

God, just went I thought the Left couldn’t look like more of bunch of ignorant and hateful losers…they use a national crisis to further their agenda.

@Ronald J. Ward: You say:

I… have to kiss Trump’s ass

Your words. Why do you feel that is necessary? Just used to doing it?

You continue:

Trump announced a goal… I’m sure… infallable

Your own words, indicating you are coming around to Trump’s capabilities and successes.

Trump… so… Honesty

Your very own words, typed and posted by you. Odd way to phrase it, but we get the point. You are saying Trump is honestly doing a great job.

@Ronald J. Ward:

Ironically Nathan states above: ““Trump Thinks He Knows Better than the doctors about coronavirus”

That is a damn lie. Here is exactly what Nathan said:

“Predictably, the NYT has a opinion piece titled “Trump Thinks He Knows Better than the doctors about coronavirus”.

Trump has announced a goal of everything back to normal by Easter Sunday.

Yes, he said he would like to see things lighten up (paraphrasing Trump) by Easter. So what? So would I. But he also said “We’ll see what happens.”

He says everyone can just practice social distancing while filling churches.

That is another damn lie. Trump did not say that.

You can’t even be honest with the truth is right in front of your face. What a disgusting POS you are, AJ/Ward.

Oh, and I knew Trump was going to prolong the lock-down…when he seems pretty calm about it yesterday.

Easter will have even more meaning, if that’s possible.

See everyone on the other side of the coronavirus grave!

I implore everyone who’s in a good area to see what they can do for NYC. I know 3d printers here are building parts for ventilators, so that could go to hospitals in NY.

Big difference between the Left and Right these days:
The Left: the government will save you.
The Right: I will save myself…and everyone else that can.

Even the media can’t silence all the good stuff going on right now, so keep at it everyone!

@retire05: My post was short, but here it is again:

Predictably, the NYT has a opinion piece titled “Trump Thinks He Knows Better than the doctors about coronavirus”.

You could see the rabble “journalists” teeing up this nonsense yesterday, with their sculpted questions.

So easy to see these guys coming now.

NYC is going to vote Blue anyway, so who cares?

(that’s a joke…^^^…lol)

Thanks for the backup! In all fairness, our family is working on relief efforts that go directly to help NYC.

@Nathan Blue: @retire05: Yet AJ doesn’t much like it when it happens to him. Awww…. that’s a shame.

They are furloughing nurses her in Colorado, having all non-essential hospital surgeries and stays suspended.

A huge risk for a nurse, but they can go to NYC and help.

@Nathan Blue:

Did you hear Gov. Cuomo this morning? Frankly, I’m sick of his whining. He was sent 4,400 ventilators today. So tell me, what happens when other states have an uptick in cases and they get told, sorry we have sent the ventilators to New York because they didn’t prepare when they should have, like when Cuomo was advised to stock pile `16,000 ventilators?

Why were some states reasonably prepared and New York, California and Washington State are a total cluster f**k?

Cuomo is exactly the reason that we should not depend on the Federal government to bail us out every time someone gets the sniffles (no, I’m not downplaying the issue). We are a Federalist nation. States have their own budgets, their own responsibility to their citizens and left wing attitudes of “Let the Feds do it” is foolhardy.

Good point.
Cuomo spent the ventilator money on solar panels knowing full well that, if NY would need more of them later, a federal gov’t would make sure they got them.
His “plan” to create “death panels,” only cemented this.

But today Cuomo went further and insisted the federal gov’t DEMAND private enterprise do what NY needs.
Use the hammer of federal power, he insisted.
How about, “no.”
Private enterprise has been stepping up to the plate voluntarily.
No need to rob them of their freedom just to fill gaps NY has when NY had years to fill those gaps before the coronavirus hit.

~~~~~~
Now, who else has heard that Nancy P has pulled her STUPID, long, liberal wet dream of a coronavirus bill?
@Nan G: According to Red State Pelosi will not further delay the process, the market rallied over 2K points.
@Nan G:
His “plan” to create “death panels,” only cemented this.
Here is how NY’s “death panels” are to work:
The guidelines provide an evidence-based clinical framework that support the goal of saving the most lives in an influenza pandemic in which there are a limited number of available ventilators.
All patients in need of a ventilator are subject to one of the three clinical protocols, using objective, universally-applied clinical criteria to evaluate a patient’s likelihood of survival. Patients who have the highest likelihood of survival with ventilator therapy receive priority. Factors such as race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, advanced age, perceived quality of life, ability to pay, role in the community, or other subjective criteria will never be part of the evaluation in determining who receives ventilator therapy.
To ensure that patients receive the best possible care in a pandemic, the guidelines call for a triage officer or triage committee to determine who receives or continues to receive ventilator therapy. To prevent a conflict of interest, these decision-makers are not the patients’ attending physicians. The decision regarding whether to use a triage officer or committee is up to each hospital, given the different resources at each site.
The guidelines apply only to patients at hospitals and not to ventilator-dependent chronic care patients at long-term care facilities, such as nursing homes. However, if such a patient requires hospital care, the patient is then subject to the clinical protocol.
Patients not receiving ventilator therapy should receive alternative forms of medical intervention. Palliative care will be provided to all patients to manage patient discomfort.
@retire05: So given a pain pill and allowed to suffocate. We must get these ventilators to NY while producing enough others as needed. They shouldnt have to make such a decision. their infection to test rate is reaching 30 %
@kitt:
They shouldnt have to make such a decision. their infection to test rate is reaching 30 %
We also need to know why states like Washington, New York and California have such high positive test rates. I think one reason could be the NY transportation system, buses and subway. But other cities have areas and neighborhoods that have high density housing and they are not seeing the influx of cases like the east and west coasts are.
My own state just announced that it will start receiving more than 1,000,000 protective masks per week starting at the end of this week. This was not done (as far as I can learn) through the Federal government but by our own Supply Chain Strike Force. Our governor is not waiting on the Feds to provide our state with what we need.
I had to go to a store today so I wore my N95 mask, surgical gloves and carried bleach wipes with me. I wiped down my steering wheel, my gear shift, my truck door handles, my credit card and when I got home, sprayed the bags and packages I brought into the house with clorine bleach solution before I threw them away, still wearing my surgical gloves. My surgical gloves are reusable because I wash my hands will them still on with soap and (almost) hot water.
Common sense generally goes a long way.
@retire05: Only 2 positive tests here in my county, no new cases in 5 days. I got groceries for Mom she is 90 and I told her I would not take her out shopping. I also gave her some freeze dried milk, she no longer gets the kids for breakfast and putting on the bus so doesnt go through enough and it would expire in the fridge. She can mix the freeze dried as needed.
@Nathan Blue, #31:
You and your party are poised to take whatever comes and twist it into partisan rhetoric.
As if Trump and his supporters never did any such thing…
From the New York Post, March 24, 2020 – Coronavirus stimulus package to exceed $6T, Larry Kudlow says
WASHINGTON — An emergency stimulus package to bailout the U.S. economy amid the coronavirus pandemic will total $6 trillion — a quarter of the entire country’s GDP, the White House said Tuesday.
Trump administration economist Larry Kudlow said the package would include $4 trillion in lending power for the Federal Reserve as well as a $2 trillion aid package currently being hammered out by Congress.
“This package will be the single largest main street assistance program in the history of the United States,” Kudlow said at the White House coronavirus task force briefing on Tuesday evening.
Included in the package is Congress’ almost $2 trillion emergency bill which, when passed, will issue direct checks for American families, bailouts for the airline industry and a $350 billion loan program for struggling small businesses.
The other $4 trillion will allow the Federal Reserve to make huge emergency bailouts to whatever entity it chooses — a measure that was used to prop-up Wall Street firms from collapse during the 2008 financial crisis.
Two trillion for Main Street and four trillion for bailouts…
“This legislation is urgently needed to bolster the economy,” Kudlow added, warning the economy had tough times ahead.
“We’re heading for a rough period but it’s only going to weeks, we think. Weeks and months. It’s not going to be years, that’s for sure,” he said, echoing comments from President Trump that the economy will bounce back to its pre-pandemic high.
Kudlow, a former Reagan administration adviser and media personality, said the huge bailout would “position us for what I think can be an economic rebound later this year.”
A tidal wave of U.S. workers are facing unemployment in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak — with White House officials warning of a 20 percent unemployment rate.
Six trillion dollars—which is apparently going to be dispersed very quickly—is slightly more than one-quarter of the entire existing national debt. Hopefully Kudlow’s predictions are wrong. It certainly wouldn’t be the first time.
(Historical footnote: The approximate total cost of Obama’s stimulus package was $831 billion.)
@Greg:
As if Trump and his supporters never did any such thing…
The precedent was set by the Left…indeed, there would be no Trump without the three-tiered infection of the media, education, and entertainment by Leftist ideologies. For decades those ideologies have been normalized, and sold as just “sensible”, rather than a set of beliefs in a sea of many.
The Left is desperate to make a false equivalency between the aid money package we have in the works now and the Obama stimulus. It’s not the same, but in lieu of anything tangible to offer the American people, the propaganda machine of the Left just can’t help itself, can’t stop the disinformation.
Just remember, if Trump doesn’t bail out the country, the primary means that your party is able to disseminate false ideologies will be threatened. Less people going to college, less seeing movies (so less movies being made), and less money to pay news outlets to skew the news to the favor of the left.
You’re party is much, much more dependent on the economy than the Right.
@retire05:
We also need to know why states like Washington, New York and California have such high positive test rates.
These places are prime ports of entry from overseas. Most of the cases inland came either from overseas or people traveling from these coastal areas. Then, the high concentration of people in every aspect of life plays in to spread it rapidly.
Washington had a scare in the nursing home where 28, I think, died almost immediately. Since then, they seem to have gotten a handle on it.
Keep in mind that, regardless of how much they contributed to their own problems, until NY and NYC is under control, NO WHERE is under control. As long as there are such massive hot spots, keeping it contained there would be difficult.
The only reason this is not much, much worse than it is is due to Trump’s travel bans, which Democrats opposed and vilified.
@Greg:
(Historical footnote: The approximate total cost of Obama’s stimulus package was $831 billion.)
And for that we got: 10.2% unemployment and NO growth, NO jobs, NO stimulus. For jobs to come back, businesses will have to come back. For them not to reopen with massive layoffs until business ramps back up, they will have to be propped up. Again, you simply don’t understand how business, revenue and jobs work, do you? NO Democrat does, apparently.
@Deplorable Me: Gas is a buck fifty a gallon here, we are down to essential businesses only, and our gun shops are considered a matter of public safety.
