At least Trump won fair and square

Say what you want, but Donald Trump won the GOP Presidential nomination fair and square. democrats were disdainful of their constituency. Wikileaks has released a flood of DNC emails and they show that the DNC rigged the system against Sanders.

The cascade of internal DNC emails released Friday by WikiLeaks underscore what Sen. Bernie Sanders and his advisers have long claimed: The DNC appeared to have its finger on the scale for rival Hillary Clinton through the long nominating contest.

In some ways, that is not entirely surprising, because Clinton is the institutional choice of the Democrats and because DNC members are the party’s establishment. But the national committee’s role is to maintain strict neutrality during the primaries, and the emails indicate that did not happen.

The emails also paint a picture that confirms what has long been assumed, that of a DNC more or less isolated from key elements of the party — including the White House — and left to the devices of Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (Fla.), its long-standing chair. Her swift resignation, under pressure from Clinton’s team, will help move her out of the way, but the potential for more embarrassing emails being released this week and beyond remains.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz was waist deep in this:

Wasserman Schultz wrote in May that Sanders “isn’t going to be president” and in April that he “has no understanding of” the Democratic Party.

Sanders supporters did not take kindly to this. They booed DWS off of the stage in Philadelphia

As she spoke, people stood on chairs holding up signs that said “emails,” “No!” and “Thanks for the ‘help,’ Debbie.”

Others repeatedly shouted: “Shame.”

DNC Committee members made it clear it’s all about clearing the path for a woman:

The Democratic National Committee is ‘clearing a path’ for Hillary Clinton to be its presidential nominee because its upper power echelons are populated with women, according to a female committee member who was in Las Vegas for Tuesday’s primary debate.

Speaking on the condition that she isn’t identified, she told Daily Mail Online that the party is in the tank for Clinton, and the women who run the organization decided it ‘early on.’

The committeewoman is supporting one of Hillary’s rivals for the Democratic nomination, and said she spoke freely because she believes the former Secretary of State is benefiting from unfair favoritism inside the party.

Clinton aims to be the first female to occupy the Oval Office, and ‘the party’s female leaders really want to make a woman the next president,’ the committeewoman said, rattling off a list of the women who she said are the ‘real power’ in the organization.

‘I haven’t heard anyone say we should make Hillary undergo a trial by fire,’ she added. ‘To the contrary, the women in charge seem eager, more and more, to have her skate into the general [election].’

Sure, there were rumblings at the GOP Convention about changing rules but it was suppressed and it was very public. There was not the skulduggery committed by the democrats. DWS was left to her own devices and she screwed the pooch. There were racist and bigoted emails passed around the DNC.

The DNC had been working to Dump Debbie for some time but their hand was forced as the Convention approached. The DNC did apologize to Sanders, who really ought to apologize to his supporters fro selling them out. Clinton was interviewed by Scott Pelley for 60 minutes on Sunday but immediately put on her jackass in the headlights look when asked about the emails:

Pelley began by reading some of the emails among DNC staff members suggesting ways to undermine Sanders’s campaign. “Did you know anything about any of that?” he asked.

“No, I didn’t know anything about it, and I haven’t read any of those,” Clinton responded.

Pelley kept pressing. “You have people in the Democratic National Committee who are supposed to be, if you will, agnostic about who the nominee is going to be, and they seem to have their thumb on the scale for you. They seem to be working against Bernie Sanders, their fellow Democrat.”

“Again, I don’t know anything, I don’t know anything about, uh, about these emails. I haven’t followed it,” Clinton responded.

“In your view, any effort in the DNC to favor one candidate or another would have been improper?” Pelley asked.

“Again, I don’t have any information about this, and so I can’t answer specifically,” Clinton said.

Hillary Clinton: Stupid and ignorant when it counts. She won the nomination and probably would have won without the high jinks but what transpired is a blatant expose of just how dishonest the democrat party is. Now the DNC is left to babbling about how the Russians, Donald Trump, UFO’s and Yeti’s are to blame for it all.

Remember when the democrats were so gleeful about GOP disunity? I am looking forward to seeing more from Julian Assange.

Schadenfreude! Paging Mr. Schadenfreude!

And pass the popcorn.
