How is it democrats know more about the motivations of Islamic terrorists than the terrorists themselves?

Omar Mateen called a TV news producer to inform him of his motivations:

“I’m the shooter. It’s me,” the man said. “I am the shooter.”

The caller then said he had carried out the Pulse attack for the Islamic State and began speaking quickly in Arabic.

“At the time, I didn’t know what he was saying,” Gentili told News 13 reporter Scott Fais. “He was speaking so fast. But it was … he was speaking fluently. Whatever language he was speaking, he knew it. And he was speaking it very quickly. And that is when I said to him, ‘Sir. Please. Speak in English, please.’”

“I did it for ISIS,” the caller said, according to Gentili, “I did it for the Islamic State.”

Mateen also was motivated by Obama’s continued bombing of Afghanistan:

At one point, while about two dozen hostages were in the bathrooms inside Pulse, Carter said the gunman asked if there were any black people in the room. When one man said yes, the shooter said, “”You know I don’t have a problem with black people,'” Carter recalled during a news conference. “‘This is about my country. You guys suffered enough.'”

Omar Mateen, the 29-year-old authorities identified as the gunman, was born in the United States. His parents emigrated from Afghanistan. …

But nooooo, says Dem. Rep. James Clyburn. He knows better even than Mateen himself:

In the wake of the terrorist attack in Orlando by a man who pledged his allegiance to ISIS, Democratic Rep. James Clyburn said, “this is not about ISIS. … this is about guns in America and whether or not we’re going to have some kind of moderation to this Second Amendment.”

Uh uh, no way this has anything to do with ISIS, says obama:

“It appears the shooter was inspired by various extremist information that was disseminated over the internet,” Obama said at a media briefing in the White House, noting “it does appear at the last minute he announced allegiance to ISIS. ” But, the president added, “there is no direct evidence” he was part of a larger plot.

All those materials are being searched, Obama said, “so we have a better sense of the pathway the killer took in making the decision to launch this attack.” But, Obama added, “we see no clear evidence he was directed externally.”

It just amazes me how these people know better than the perpetrators the motivations for the killings. Or perhaps they are choosing to distract us from the truth.
