The Today Show’s war on the truth- and on Darren Wilson

I cannot stand the Today Show. I cannot stand the execrable hosts. It used to be a news show back when I grew up, but today it is anything but. You no longer can discern where the Today Show ends and where The View and Entertainment Tonight begin. They’ve all morphed into the same thing. In no way can any of them be considered “news” or “informative.” Woe unto those who watch The Today show and think otherwise. It is the very definition of one sided.

The Today Show description says this:

NBC News pioneered the morning news program when it launched TODAY in 1952 with Dave Garroway as host. The live broadcast provides the latest in domestic and international news, weather reports, and interviews with newsmakers from the worlds of politics, business, media, entertainment and sports.

Here’s part of Savannah Guthrie’s “bio”:

Savannah Guthrie is the co-anchor of NBC News’ TODAY. She also serves as NBC News Chief Legal Correspondent. Guthrie joined TODAY as co-host of the third hour and chief legal correspondent in June 2011. Prior to joining TODAY, Guthrie served as NBC News White House Correspondent from December 2008 to June 2011, where she contributed to all NBC News properties, including “NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams,” TODAY and msnbc. Guthrie also served as co-host of msnbc’s “The Daily Rundown” from January 2010 to June 2011.

Matt Lauer:

Matt Lauer has been co-anchor of NBC News’ TODAY since January 6, 1997. He joined TODAY in January 1994 as the show’s news anchor. From September 1992 to September 1996, Lauer was at WNBC in New York City where he served as a co-anchor of the early morning newscast “Today in New York” and as a co-anchor of the early evening newscast “News Channel 4/Live at Five.” He began substituting on TODAY as a news anchor in early 1993 before becoming the permanent news anchor in 1994.

The liberal cast does not shy away from confrontation when doing the bidding of the DNC. Matt Lauer hit Chris Christie will the declaration:

“Opposing the President’s policy is not a policy. Specifically, what can Republicans do with this power?”

The Media Research Center celebrated fifteen years of Matt Lauer liberal bias here. One example:

Matt Lauer: “When you look at some of the things the Tea Party and others on the far right are asking for — no funding for Planned Parenthood, no funding for climate control, public broadcasting — does it seem to you, Senator, that this is less about a fiscal debate or an economic policy debate and they are making an ideological stand here?”

Democratic Senator Charles Schumer: “That’s exactly right, Matt. You’ve hit the nail on the head.”

There’s lots more.

One cannot help but become enraged by the interview the feckless Savannah Guthrie conducted with Michael Brown’s parents. She is a horrible interviewer. She leads them on endlessly to evoke emotions.

To Brown’s father: “Do you feel now justice has been lost to you?”

“You’re hoping he’s pursued in Federal court?”

McSpadden’s current husband was seen screaming “Burn this bitch down!”

Asked to react, McSpadden said “I wouldn’t hold him accountable for that”

She blamed the Governor.

Guthrie on Wilsons’s statements:

Wilson claimed “that he (Brown) punched him, reached for his gun, came back charging toward him…does that seem possible to you?”

Of course, the father said “No.”

Guthrie paraphrased what Wilson said about the look on Brown’s face and then asked

“Lesley what you think when you hear those words?”

Brown’s father made the assertion that Michael Brown respected the law. Guthrie could have asked about this:

But naturally, she did not. Guthrie and Today were on a mission. A crusade to foment hate for Darren Wilson. It is entirely asinine but worst of all it was absurdly one-sided. The Today show is leading the charge for the lynching of Darren Wilson and omitting something critically important- the evidence. Lauer and Guthrie have no use for the truth when it is conflict with their agenda.

The Today Show has never pointed out the fact that the evidence supports Darren Wilson. Arguably one of the most important pieces of forensic evidence is the blood trail- over twenty feet long- leading toward Office Wilson. Watch here as CNN analyst Mel Robbins describes it (and enjoy how it rattles liberal idiot Carol Costello).

The evidentiary documents in the case are available to all.

The Today Show and its execrable cast are a disgrace. They do both Darren Wilson and their viewers an injustice. It is depressing to think that the Today Show is all that some people watch for what they think is “news.”

The Today Show, The View, The Chat, Entertainment Tonight, Inside Edition- they’re all the same and equally useless.
