Obama needs to get off his ass and stop this national lynch mob

The Drudge Report is full of terrible headlines:

The worst of the bunch?

OBAMA LECTURES AMERICA ABOUT JUSTIFIED ANGER…

A grand jury made a decision yesterday that upset a lot of people. And as I said last night, the frustrations that we have seen, are not just about a particular incident. They have deep roots in many communities of color, who have a sense that our laws are not always being enforced uniformly or fairly. That may not be true everywhere. And it’s certainly not true for the vast majority of law enforcement officials, but that’s an impression that folks have and it’s not just made up. It’s rooted in reality.

Then he added:

Now as I said last night, there are productive ways of responding. And expressing those frustrations and there are destructive ways of responding. Burning buildings, torching cars, destroying property, putting people at risk, that’s destructive and there’s no excuse for it. Those are criminal acts. People should be prosecuted if they engage in criminal acts.

And boy are the ever engaged in criminal acts. Protesters have taken Obama’s encouraging comments as tacit approval of their freedom to do whatever they want. And they are doing just that.

Ferguson: Bottle of urine thrown at cops

National Guard reinforcements helped contain the latest protests in Ferguson, preventing a second night of the chaos that led to arson and looting after a grand jury decided not to indict the police officer who killed Michael Brown.

Demonstrators returned Tuesday to the riot-scarred streets. But with hundreds of additional troops standing watch over neighborhoods and businesses, the protests had far less destructive power than the previous night. However, officers still used some tear gas and pepper spray, and demonstrators set a squad car on fire and broke windows at City Hall.

The St. Louis County Police Department reports 45 people were arrested Tuesday night.

St. Louis County Police tweeted the urine-filled bottles that were thrown at police.

Portland: Gay slurs hurled at cops, for starters.

A guy sitting in his car got slugged in the face for just being there.

Watch the abuse heaped on the police, for absolutely nothing.

There’s more at the link.

Michael Brown’s stepfather urged his listeners to “Burn this bitch down!”

45 were arrested in Boston

Protesters shut down the highway in San Diego and LA and blocked the Lincoln Tunnel. The NYPD Commissioner was splattered with fake blood.

Irony overflows at the Washington Post:

“We have made a national assumption that some black people, disappointed with the grand jury’s decision, will react with violence and mayhem,” wrote Bob Lonsberry on the conservative Free Republic site. That “deeply troubling” assumption “puts some black people in a unique category of people who have opted out of the social contract. That should bother us. . . . America does not trust black people to respond to a legal decision peacefully, and that is the result of either a horrific stereotype about black people, or horrific conduct by black people. Either way, we’ve got a problem.”

Wonder how that happens?

These aren’t people looking for justice. They are a national lynch mob looking for a pound of flesh evidence be damned. Instead of fundraising and idling on the links with Derek Jeter Barack Obama should taking to the airwaves saying

“Stop the madness! This is not constructive. It is destructive. Do not destroy the property of others. Do not impair or hinder the lives of other people. Do not abuse the police. Do feel free to hold peaceful meetings and for God’s sake become familiar with the evidence!”

But that would take a leader and not a community agitator. You can take community agitator out of Chicago but you can’t take the community agitator out of Obama.
