Obama: OK, we missed all the warning signs about the Boston bombing but man isn’t this Correspondents’ Dinner a blast?

The Russians warned the Obama regime of their concerns that the Tsarneav’s could be religious extremists, but this regime wasn’t interested because there is no longer such a thing as “Islamic extremism.” There is no longer such a thing as “jihad.”

Had they only been white right wing militias. Obama was ready for them.

The Department of Homeland Security is warning law enforcement officials about a rise in “rightwing extremist activity,” saying the economic recession, the election of America’s first black president and the return of a few disgruntled war veterans could swell the ranks of white-power militias.

Yeah, those right wingers are a danger

Breaking down these groups into three categories — the Racist/White Supremacy Movement, the Anti-Federalist Movement, and the Christian Fundamentalist Movement — allows the study to examine the background ideologies and methods of each subset thoroughly, opposed to lumping them all together as most studies have.

And Napolitano even promised us that she’d be on the lookout for domestic terrorists

Americans who turn to terrorism and plot against the U.S. are now as big a concern as international terrorists, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said Sunday.

The government is just starting to confront this reality and does not have a good handle on how to prevent someone from becoming a violent extremist, she said.

In the last year, Napolitano said, she’s witnessed a movement from international extremism to domestic extremism – cases in which Americans radicalized and decided to plot attacks against the country.

The brothers were apparently influenced by one Anwar Awlaki:

As investigators sift through the lives of Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev trying to understand their radicalization and descent into violence, one clue almost seemed expected. Two U.S. officials tell The Daily Beast that, during his hospital room interrogation, Dzhokhar told FBI agents that he and his brother were influenced by the Internet sermons of Anwar al-Awlaki, the American-born preacher who was killed in a U.S. drone strike in Yemen in September 2011. The charismatic cleric was seen by the Obama administration as a uniquely dangerous terrorist because of his sermons (delivered in fluent, American-inflected English), his intuitive grasp of U.S. culture, and a burning desire to strike his birth nation.

Hey, wait, I know I’ve heard this before somewhere….

Check this out- regarding Nidal Hasan:

Intelligence agencies intercepted communications last year and this year between the military psychiatrist accused of shooting to death 13 people at Fort Hood, Tex., and a radical cleric in Yemen known for his incendiary anti-American teachings.
But the federal authorities dropped an inquiry into the matter after deciding that the messages from the psychiatrist, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, did not suggest any threat of violence and concluding that no further action was warranted, government officials said Monday.

and the Tsarnaev’s:

After receiving the narrow tip from Russia in March 2011, the FBI opened a preliminary investigation into Tamerlan and his mother. But the scope was extremely limited under the FBI’s internal procedures. After a few months, they found no evidence Tamerlan or his mother were involved in terrorism. The FBI asked Russia for more information. After hearing nothing, it closed the case in June 2011.

Two for two!

Still, Obama is a happy clinger. He’s clung to the FISA warrantless wiretapping program and even sought indefinite detention of Americans.

But when it comes to certain types of terrorists they just seem to keep missing something.

Obama meets with journalist and adviser George Clooney

One thing Obama doesn’t miss is a good time with Hollywood. The Celebrity In Chief held forth and the White House Correspondents’ Dinner last night and have a look at the list of veteran White House Correspondents in attendance:

Gerard Butler, Claire Danes, Sharon Stone, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Steven Spielberg, Amy Poehler, Connie Britton, Tracy Morgan, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Josh Radnor, Tim Daly, Jessica Pare, Psy, Katy Perry, Jon Bon Jovi, Michelle Dockery, Dan Stevens, Kerry Washington, Kate Mara, Tony Goldwyn, Ty Burrell, Aasif Mandvi, John Oliver, Rebel Wilson, Oivia Munn, Nicole Kidman, Kevin Spacey, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Harvey Weinstein, Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Barbra Streisand.

And, of course, Willie Robertson.

Poor Chris Dodd had to wait to take a picture with another veteran journalist, Bradley Cooper.

The collection of this kind of journalism in one venue is simply mind-boggling.

Notably absent this year were White House Correspondents George Clooney, Charlize Theron and Lindsay Lohan.

I am not sure if Chelsea Clinton was there. She might have missed it because of her interview with the Geico Gekko.

Obama did take the time to rip into Michele Bachmann and Mitch McConnell.

It’s comforting to know that the Obama regime has missed five Islamic attacks on the US but Obama never misses a chance to party with Hollywood journalists.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have a President as serious about his job as he is about his celebrity?

An un-serious President is not a good thing.
