If only there was a vaccine to treat left wing hypocrisy

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews: “The national media, which leans a little to the left, I could argue, could smash him [Mitt Romney].”
MSNBC’s Martin Bashir: “But if anyone’s dirty, it’s Newt Gingrich — a man whose personal morality has been drawn from the sewer, a man who pontificates about his Catholic faith and morality but repeatedly commits adultery.”
President Obama: “I intend to do everything in my power right now to act on behalf of the American people with or without Congress. We can’t wait for Congress to do its job. So where they won’t act, I will.”
President Barack Obama, for about the 100th time: “This jobs bill is fully paid for. This jobs bill contains the kinds of proposals that Democrats and Republicans have supported in the past. And now, I want it back. It is time for Congress to get its act together and pass this jobs bill so I can sign it into law.”
President Barack Obama: “If you love me, you’ve got to help me pass this bill.”
Valerie Jarrett, White House senior adviser, to Rachel Maddow on President Obama‘s jobs plan: “The Congress should pass this plan and they should do it right this minute…there’s no reason why we can’t move forward right this minute.”
Valerie Jarrett, one minute later, to Maddow: “The president is going to draft the legislation, make the job a little easier for Congress and the Senate, and send it up there next week.”
President Obama on a Balanced Budget Amendment: “We don’t need a constitutional amendment to do that. What we need to do is do our jobs.”
Senate Leader Harry Reid: “I think this piece of legislation [Cap, Cut and Balance] is about as weak and senseless as anything that has ever come on this Senate floor, and I’m not going to waste the Senate’s time day after day on this piece of legislation which I think is anathema to what our country is all about. I feel confident that this legislation will be disposed of one way or the other. The American people should understand that this is a bad piece of legislation, perhaps some of the worst legislation in the history of this country.” In case you don’t get this, he is telling all of the Democrat Senators to shelve Cut, Cap and Balance without giving it a hearing.
Chris Matthews, after Mitt Romney said he believed in global warming: “”He [Romney] believes in science. Republicans on the right hate science, remember? Certainly Rush does. That’s ahead. The battle between the college guys and the rubes. ”
Chris Matthews, who is becoming almost a parody of himself: “If [Weiner] stays, [Democrats] never get the leadership [in the House] back. They never get the speakership back. Because the people in the rural areas of this country who are Christian, conservative, culturally – you can say `backward’ if you want – they don’t like this stuff.”
Vice President Joe Biden: “All in all we’re going to be creating somewhere between 100[,000] and 200,000 jobs next month, I predict.”
Senate Majority leader Harry Reid: “I am encouraged that the private sector is continuing to grow and add jobs.”
Jemu Greene: “Slow growth is still growth overall.”
Reporter Justin Farmer: “I took in the man himself, this man, President Barack Obama. Regardless of one’s political leanings, there’s no doubt this is a gifted and complex man. Think about what he ponders in any given day?”
Justin Farmer: “I admit as he was answering one of my questions, I did look carefully at his face. (Our chairs were oddly placed almost uncomfortably close.) I pondered the responsibility, the challenges this one man bears.”
Barack Obama: “We contribute to programs like Medicare and Social Security, which guarantee us health care and a measure of basic income after a lifetime of hard work; unemployment insurance, which protects us against unexpected job loss; and Medicaid, which provides care for millions of seniors in nursing homes, poor children, and those with disabilities. We are a better country because of these commitments. I’ll go further – we would not be a great country without those commitments.”
Obama: “I don’t need another tax cut.” The President lives rent-free with no out-of-pocket costs to be paid toward food, transportation, staff, vacations.
