When is enough enough?
The IRS filing in federal Judge Emmet Sullivan’s court reveals shocking new information. The IRS destroyed Lerner’s Blackberry AFTER it knew her computer had crashed and after a Congressional inquiry was well underway. As an IRS official declared under the penalty of perjury, the destroyed Blackberry would have contained the same emails (both sent and received) as Lois Lerner’s hard drive.
We all know by now that Lois Lerner’s hard drive crashed in June 2011 and was destroyed by IRS. The emails of up to twenty other related IRS officials were missing in remarkably similar “crashes,” leading many to speculate that Lois Lerner’s Blackberry perhaps held the key. Now, the Observer can confirm that a year after the infamous hard drive crash, the IRS destroyed Ms. Lerner’s Blackberry—and without making any effort to retain the emails from it.
Judge Sullivan has had to pry information from the IRS to learn anything about Ms. Lerner’s Blackberry. Now, with these latest revelations, I’m confident he’s not finished.
In two elusive and nebulous sworn declarations, we can glean that Ms. Lerner had two Blackberries. One was issued to her on November 12, 2009. According to a sworn declaration, this is the Blackberry that contained all the emails (both sent and received) that would have been in her “Outlook” and drafts that never were sent from her Blackberry during the relevant time.
With incredible disregard for the law and the Congressional inquiry, the IRS admits that this Blackberry “was removed or wiped clean of any sensitive or proprietary information and removed as scrap for disposal in June 2012.” This is a year after her hard drive “crash” and months after the Congressional inquiry began.

Looks like a criminal organization to me! I wonder if the individuals involved will be sued as individuals instead of suing the government. It appears that some employees exceeded their job descriptions and may not be defended by the federal government. If that is the case, then there is likely to be many employees running to testify. I also bet those people stashed their email away for a

I wonder if the administration is stalling until after the November elections? Does anyone know if the IRS criminals will be housed with the Illinois Governors?
Imagine if this scandal was going on under a republican administration. There would be so much Woodward and Bernstein impersonating going on by the media there would be no other story in the news.
The left continues to set ever lower standards of integrity, yet cannot understand why their media outlets are losing money, having to lay off workers (see current CNN/HLN layoffs of 550 workers) and consistently losing viewers (customers) to Fox News.

Then what, exactly, would be the point of HAVING such a tangled gob of communications? I could be jumping to conclusions here, but I think they are rather full of shit.
I suppose all the other Blackberries and iPhones of the other employees were destroyed as well; maybe it is standard Democrat procedure.
The really silly thing is, if these emails showed that there was no illegal or inappropriate communication or collusion between Lehrner and the White House, all the administration would have to do is produce these emails to show it – which certainly leads one to believe that there IS evidence of illegal acts since the dems are so disinterested in producing them.
Amanzingly, this is STILL not getting much if any coverage in the MSM!
Just imagine if this were happening under a Republican administration with the IRS going after progressive groups. Think the MSM wouldn’t cover?
Just unbelievable. This is beyond mere bias. This decision to omit these developments by Big Media clearly shows they are in the tank for Obama. ABCBSNBCNN are a part of this administration. Also the NEW YORK TIMES and WASHINGTON POST. Woodward and Bernstein where, oh where are you?
@VoteOutIncumbents: Well, the left has all simply declared it a “phony scandal” and moved on. Indeed, Gov Perry of Texas legally vetoes funding for an “ethics” enforcement group run by a police-abusing drunk or Christie has someone working for him that closes a bridge and this is earth-shaking, bombastic news that goes on for months. However, use the IRS to target and harass conservatives (key: target conservatives) and it’s “meh”.
Again, I would love to see this shoe on the other foot just to be able to watch the wild squealing, whining, screaming and protestations. It would be a real festival.
