Detroit Ruin – Brought to you by Democrats

Loading

No place in America better symbolizes the ruination brought by Democrats than Detroit. The city has been run by Democrats for decades, while its economic life has been in thrall to the unions, which drove up wages to unsustainable levels, ruining the American auto industry.

Really sad.

What I wouldn’t give for one of those three fantastic chandeliers in photo #14.

Thanks very much.

Was born and raised in Detroit I moved here to Arizona in 1992. Just lately I made a sad trip back to the Detroit area for a funeral. I drove the empty streets of Detroit and actually cried to see the absolute devastation that once was a very vibrant and beautiful city. I saw block upon block of deserted houses in all modes of disrepair, garbage strewn around every where. Detroit has closed half of there police stations and fire stations. Schools are closed and left to rot. All in all I was devastated in my soul. I in my minds eye remembered the beauty of the neighborhoods that I drove, and imagined the people that once happily lived and worked there. You can’t even begin to understand unless you can have been there when everything was beautiful. I have seen hell and all evil that causes it. Demoncraps can all go to Detroit to live, they deserve each other.

It’s just like so many other northeastern and midwestern cities, save New York. The democrats are also in power and they all are decaying into rubble and people leaving in droves. New York is thriving because of Giuliani and Bloomberg. It seems that they’re corrupt at worst and inept and incompetent at best. The automobile industry, for example, is the epitome of failed liberal economic policy. Instead of letting the free market naturally regulate everything i.e. having the companies to compete for customers by lowering prices (what capitalism is all about), they bow down to big unions and are forced to keep the prices of their cars high to pay their employees. What do you get? Surprise, surprise: collapse of an industry. Now, in the free market, they would declare bankruptcy and start building up from scratch with a better, more consumer-friendly policy enacted. Instead, we get bailouts rewarding not only bad moral behavior but also economic policy. It seems that urban people would sooner die, go hungry, and homeless than see a republican in office who actually knows how to run things. The buy the lie that the GOP is only for rich old white men. (I’m a poor young multi-racial guy and a proud rep.) How can the GOP be for big business and the so-called poor, ignorant, racist redneck in Dixie at the same time? Hmm, another false liberal stereotype!
