Jihadi John: Joining the dots (Guest Post)

Jihadi John

British Intelligence agency MI 5 said that they believe that they know the identity of the so called Jihadi John, the man captured on video beheading three Western men for crimes against ISIS. MI 5 is keeping the details under wraps and says that they are waiting to gather more solid intelligence before they any possible retaliation.

After beheading another journalist, Steven Sotloff, ISIS is threatening to continue executing Westerners they hold captive. The execution was performed by ‘Jihadi John’ who spoke with a London accent. This brings home the danger facing western countries with the growing number of Muslim immigrants.

ISIS then went on to execute photo journalist James Foley and British hostage David Haines. ISIS has been on a spree beheading captured Westerners.

ISIS has stunningly acquired a large piece of both Iraq and Syria. It has captured billions of dollars and large amounts of American weaponry that Iraqi soldiers abandoned. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel has said that ISIS is ‘threat to every interest we have’ and ‘beyond anything we have seen.’

Before ISIS exploded into our consciousness, the news was about the war in Gaza between Israel and HAMAS. HAMAS seeks the genocide of Jews and its charter makes no bones about it. Then there is Boko Haram, which got into the news because it kidnapped Christian girls and reportedly turned them into sex slaves.

These three are not separate unconnected events. If you were to connect the dots, they all have one thing in common – the extremist version of Islam. This is something the politically-correct main stream news media will not say. It is up to us-online writers and the world of social media to say it.

In the Koran 8:12, the Islamic scriptures appear to condone beheading:

Remember thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): “I am with you: give firmness to the Believers: I will instill terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them.”

So this is where ‘Jihadi John’ got his ideas from. As for HAMAS, its charter quoted SahihBukhari, the next most important book after the Koran for Muslims. The Charter pointed out Prophet Mohammed’s prophecy:

Prophet Mohammed said, “The Day of Judgement will not come about until Moslems fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Moslems, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him.”

This religious doctrine is quoted ad nauseam on Palestinian TV in order to instigate Palestinians to kill Jews. This explains why the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is so intractable. As for Boko Haram, their kidnapping and sex slavery of Christian girls are also rooted in their scriptures.

Take a look at SahihBukhari 2229:

Narrated Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri that while he was sitting with Allah’s Messenger (an Ansari man came) and said, “O Allah’s Messenger! We get female captives as our share of booty, and we are interested in their prices, what is your opinion about coitus interruptus?” The Prophet said, “Do you really do that? It is better for you not to do it. No soul which Allah has destined to exist, but will surely come into existence.”

Prophet Mohammed and his men would capture girls in their jihad and turn them into sex slaves. They were worried that they might get them pregnant and hence lower their price in the slave market. So they asked him about performing coitus interruptus.

So for Muslim extremists like Boko Haram, the kidnap of Christian girls and turning them into sex slaves is halal (permissible). By the way, the words Boko Haram means that western education is not permissible. Haram means forbidden. Thus while sex slavery (which implies rape) is permissible, western education is not.

Of course, not all Muslims agree with all the above interpretations of Islamic scriptures. Generally they claim that these violent, intolerant verses in the Koran and Hadiths are no longer applicable in modern times. But many believe they are still applicable today. Success in the battlefield by ISIS or HAMAS or other similar extremist groups will result in moderate Muslims becoming radicalized. After all, if they win, it means that Allah’s favor in on them and they must be on the right path.

So the situation in the Muslim world is fluid. The problem is that it is easy for extremists to justify their actions on scriptural grounds. Here is an example.

A Kuwaiti (woman) politician wanted to legalize sex slavery of women captured in jihads. She claimed to have consulted with religious scholars. I believe her because the presence of so many ayats (verses) in Hadiths and Koran permit this.

In fact, the website, “Ask the Imam” where an Islamic Scholar was asked about this verse from SahihBukhari regarding the capture of female sex slaves. He sees nothing wrong with it. I will quote what he said below:

“The captives referred to in the hadith were distributed to the Sahabah (companions of Prophet Mohammed) by Rasulullah (Prophet of God). Therefore, they were their slave women. Hence, the attempt of some Christians to use the incident to try to prove firstly that rape took place and secondly that the Prophet (sallallahualaihiwasallam) allowed rape to happen is preposterous because the claim would mean that having intimate relationship with ones slave woman is tantamount to rape.”

So the Imam thinks having sex with a slave woman is not rape. Did the woman consent to be a slave? No. So why is it not rape? Can she refuse sex? Apparently not or she would not be a slave. I don’t understand how he thinks.

If we join the dots, it means that the west is confronted by a hostile ideology that is against its core values. We cannot avoid discussing the problem because of political correctness. Factual correctness is better than political correctness.

British Home Secretary, Theresa May, blamed political correctness for the Rotherham child sexual exploitation scandal. British police, fearing charges of racial discrimination, failed in their duty to protect 1,400 innocent children from being sexually abused by mostly Muslim men over a 16 year period.

In the case of ISIS, the west does not have the resources to wage another war.  President Bush tried to civilize them by bringing democracy. It was a noble experiment but democracy did not work in the Mid East.  The introduction of democracy in the Mid East resulted in the election of intolerant, misogynistic and theocratic parties. The election of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt is one example.

The main thing the west can do to protect its civilization is to stop Muslim immigration to its countries. Not all Muslims are extremists but many are- we do not know who is moderate and who is extremist. We also cannot prevent a moderate from becoming radicalized.

The next thing is to assimilate existing Muslim citizens to accept western values. This means that Sharia law must be banned. Muslims who work towards implementing Sharia law even peacefully will lose their citizenship. All three terrorist groups – HAMAS, ISIS and Boko Haram are fighting a holy war to implement Sharia.

Sharia is against the democratic values that our societies are based on. Sharia is incompatible with liberal democracy. Under Sharia, apostates of Islam are to be executed. Under Sharia, women have less rights to men and non-Muslims have less rights than Muslims.

Unfortunately, the politicians cannot and will not do anything to stop or slow down Muslim immigration. They need their votes to win power and so cannot offend the Muslim voters. This is a weakness of democracy. The welfare of the country is sacrificed for the interest of the political class. So they will blather on about multiculturalism and accuse advocates of immigration reform to be racists.

Things don’t look good for western democracy. As John Adams said “There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide.”

In addition to stopping immigration, we Christians can also pray that Western Muslims become born again Christians, since God can change hearts per Proverbs 21:1, and Jesus said we’re not supposed to give up on prayer per Luke 18:1, and we Christians who live holy can ask for anything with faith and God will do it per John 14:13-15.

Having grown up in the Jim Crow South, I’m well familiar with religious leaders giving voice and backing to extremism. So, you don’t believe that black people should marry white people? Give me a secular overriding reason for government interference. Otherwise, shut up and sit down.
(Off topic but IMO that’s where we failed on easy divorce and homosexual marriage. No one was or is articulating the reason other than religious ones, although they’re starting to, now.)
Do the same with Sharia law.
Don’t believe in interest on loans? Fine. Make them yourself, but, since there is no over riding secular reason to forbid them for other people, leave it be.
The key is to outlaw the actions, not the beliefs. Murder, robbery et al are obvious. However, Sharia law can be insidious. Making extremism explain itself in a secular way, not doing as Europe and England did, giving it enclaves to foment hatred and grow like mushrooms, but forcing them to live under the laws of the nation they adopted.

Of course, not all Muslims agree with all the above interpretations of Islamic scriptures. Generally they claim that these violent, intolerant verses in the Koran and Hadiths are no longer applicable in modern times. But many believe they are still applicable today.

Of course, not all Muslims say they agree with all the above interpretations of Islamic scriptures. Generally they claim to us that these violent, intolerant verses in the Koran and Hadiths are no longer applicable in modern times. But many believe they are still applicable today.

The problem with such statements by Muslims (that the violent part of the Koran/Hadith no longer applies) is that there is such a thing as abrogation taught by Mohammad in the koran ….. BUT older verses are always abrogated by newer ones, not the other way around.
ALL the ”peaceful” verses were written BEFORE all the warring verses in the koran, which is NOT in chronological order.
So, if ANY verses no longer apply, they are those peaceful ones which contradict the later warring ones!
When Islam was getting its start Mohammad preached for his followers to get along with their non-Muslim neighbors.
Later, when Islam was strong, Mohammad preached for his followers to take over non-Muslim lands, houses, booty and to kill or make slaves of those allowed to live.

I’ll repeat to what I advised to say to any Muslims who want to impose their religious beliefs on the rest of us: Give me a secular overriding reason for government interference in other people’s religious beliefs. That’s what the First Amendment is all about. We can outlaw actions, or threats of actions but not beliefs. You and I cannot tell someone else what they believe. Period. Even if you think you can.
What you said applies to all Muslims only applies to those who adopt that sect of Islam. Like Christianity, there are over 200 ‘denominations’.
Again, you cannot tell someone what they have to believe based upon what someone else tells you they must adhere to. Thank God. Otherwise, I’d have to do what some atheists tell me their ‘plain reading’ of the Bible tells me to do. There’s even websites telling atheists what I’m supposed to adhere to as a Christian. To keep them informed, dontcha know.
