Obama: My bill will create 1.9 million jobs

President Obama has attached a big number to his jobs bill: 1.9 million.

At a private fundraiser last night, Obama said his proposal would create 1.9 millions jobs, while reducing the 9.1% unemployment rate by a percentage point; he also said it would add two percentage points to the gross domestic product.

That “private fundraiser”? $38,500 a head. Clearly, uber-wealthy democrats believe Obama will protect uber-wealthy democrats.

Flashback:

WASHINGTON — The Obama administration is defending its claim that the $787 billion economic stimulus plan will save or create 3.5 million jobs before 2011 even while conceding that unemployment will likely continue to rise beyond its earlier predictions.

A report Monday by the White House Council of Economic Advisers said the projections were based on conservative estimates and widely accepted assumptions. The 3.5 million job estimate remains valid, the report said, now that stimulus money is starting to pay for various projects throughout the nation.

The obligatory splash of cold water in the face:

We would have been better off without the old stimulus, and we will be better off without the new stimulus. We’d be best off without Obama altogether.

I’m going to guess that when Obama gets few takers for his $38,500 a head fundraiser that the price will keep dropping.

The MSM will have difficulty Really convincing taxpayers of this Administration’s financial acumen around it’s GM & Chrysler bailouts – particularly its ineptitude in Negotiations.

. . . . “According to a government report, taxpayers will lose $14 billion in the bailout.”

That is, . . . “LOSE $14 BILLION.” What stupidity structured That deal?

If you look closely you can see why Obama felt comfortable handing out all of the stimulus money already spent just to help his friends and supporters.
    See it?
    When is the election?
Look at the grid squares between the end of 2012 (the Q3 end) and the beginning of 2013 (the Q1 end).
Notice that whether we had any stimulus money spent of not the unemployment rate would be looking good for the incumbent.
It would be somewhere under 6%.
No wonder Obama squandered as much stimulus money as he could on supporters.
He didn’t think it would even be noticed.

    Man!
I bet he’s furious it hasn’t worked out so well for him!

    Two other very illustrative graphics.
Initial Unemployment Filings since Obama’s 1st full month in office.
The graph from the original post but with the line Timothy Geithner added to it showing we are ”on track” according to Timmy’s projections!

So, what’s the big all-of-a-sudden National Emergency?

    LOL!

    Obama/Fundraiser.
Two words we see together a lot.
So, Obama had a birthday/fundraiser in the month of August.
    How’d he do?

The Republican National Committee raised over $8 million in August, the highest amount the group has raised in an August of a non-election year and reportedly more than $2 million more than their Democratic counterparts.

At a private fundraiser last night, Obama said his $447 billion American Jobs Act would create 1.9 millions jobs….

    Let’s do the math…..
    447,000,000,000
    _______________ = $235,263 per job
    000,001,900,000

    Seems kinda pricy.

Obama is hoping that most of the people have gone through public school and can’t do that kind of math.
