When Democrats are busy ordering conservatives around for our own good, one of the justifications for their bossiness is they are the party of science. While Republicans are the party of examining chicken entrails.
Yet when it comes to the science of photography, Democrats are the party of schizophrenia.
On one hand various liberals want to place lurid photos of cancerous lungs on the front of cigarette packs, Photoshopped images of diabetic amputees on candy bar wrappers and the skull & crossbones on individual M&Ms — all in an increasingly fanatical effort to prevent individuals from doing potential harm to themselves by exercising free choice.
But when it comes to photos that may prevent individuals from doing actual harm to others, Democrats quickly lose interest in prevention and move to immediate opposition.
In Virginia it appears a law requiring women to view an ultrasound before deciding to execute her baby will finally pass this session and be signed into law. The prospect of women being exposed to more information before the decision to abort has predictably driven the Party of Death into a frenzy.
Sen. Janet Howell (D–Planned Parenthood) was in such an uproar she couldn’t even produce a relevant legislative metaphor. The Senate defeated Janet’s amendment to the ultrasound bill that would’ve required men who wanted a Viagra prescription to undergo a rectal check and cardiac stress test.
Anyone with even a minimal knowledge of equivalency — and not blinded by abortion obsession— would have known the proper sex–specific amendment would have required men in the market to enhance their structural integrity to first buy a copy of American Baby.
That amendment would have had a much better chance of passage and left both sides of the gender divide better informed regarding the consequences of their actions.

I believe that all candidates for public office should have a rectal exam. Maybe they know where their head is when they run for office, but they soon find a place to put it after the election!
This is a perfect example of how religion interferes with government action. Anti-abortion elements are such because of a belief that a soul is implanted by God in the embryo at conception—making it as much a human being as those persons reading this article. Many people who may be considered to believe in the right to choose an abortion do not share some aspect of these extreme beliefs.
In their belief in the fulfillment of God’s plan, Anti-abortionists of the radical right wing have tried everything possible to create these ends—and the trans-vaginal ultrasound bill of Virginia is one of these methods. This bill requires that any woman wanting an abortion is mandated to forcibly submit to the insertion of ultrasonic equipment int0 her vagina—with the whole operation being viewed on a television screen.
In addition to being comparable to some kind of medieval inquisition torture, this kind of mandate makes the mandate for individual payment of insurance (associated with the Affordable Healthcare Act) seem insignificant. With its passage, this ultrasonic inspection bill allows—in God’s name—the far right to get inside of a woman’s genitalia, let alone the bedroom—which they’d like to do in order to make sure people aren’t committing sodomy, or some other dastardly deed.
And why is the conservative party for people’s rights and limited government preparing to invade a woman’s body, and establish a new medical bureaucracy? For God’s will! Despite the fact that while most Americans are morally against abortion, they are tolerant enough to support right to choose (http://www.christianpost.com/news/americans-more-pro-choice-but-morally-against-abortion-50424/) rather than making this right harder by forcing women to undergo such a degrading process. Or, maybe, this bill in Virginia is just an expression of their religious rights.
@Liberal1 (objectivity): Your ignorance is appoling liberalone. Ultrasound is not inserted into the body!
You liberals will never understand the differences between living life with ideology and personal values. You lefties can change your truths and compromise your lives without causing personal trauma to your selves. People who live their lives guided by personal values can not compromise those values, or they cannot live with themselves. Besides, the issue here is the 1st Amendment.
The Federal Government does not have the authority to interfere with religious organizations. You can talk all you want to about how many people accept the Obama mandate, but the “sticking point” is that it violates the first amendment even if it affects only one person. It is not like there are no alternatives. The mandate requires individuals to do something against their religion. There is a good article on this today.

@Liberal1 (objectivity): Question, does being ignorant come naturally or do your work at it? Enquiring minds want to know.
