Place Your Bets

1. A low-paid staffer, who will soon go on to a prize posting in the Obama Administration, after the media furor dies down, did it as a big goof, and I was protecting him, because I’m that much of a hero

2. I was Tweeting it to my wife, whom I love so very much; how dare you intrude into the sanctity of a marriage

OMG!
Ace brought up Charles Johnson!
There was a time when CJ was so into technology that he could spot Word Perfect script used in what was a time when old fashioned IBM Selectric typewriters were top of the actual heap.
But now he is so behind the times when it comes to Twitter that he looks dumber than me!
(I have used twitter, but mostly only during that Iranian uprising that failed. I have no understanding of it at all.)

Somebody posted the pic.
It never is the ”crime.”
It always is the cover-up.
Tony W. should have known that.
One day the truth will all come out.

I have yet to see the picture of Weiner’s wiener… Actually on second thought I don’t know if I really want to.

Actually Nan, someone else noticed the Word Perfect script. CJ just publicized it.

The media is sort of reporting on it here or there, but it’s token reporting at best. That way they can pretend they didn’t want the story spiked.

MSNBC’s reporter just came out of his meeting.
It was just a prank not worthy of a federal investigation.
That’s the line.

@Nan G:
Circling the wagons to protect their own.
Too bad there is proof it wasn’t a prank or a hack.

@Hard Right:
An investigator who works this type of case said that, had Weiner taken a complaint to his agency, they could have known exactly what happened inside of 15 minutes after the investigator got the case.
Also note that Weiner is saying things ”could” happen not that they ”did” happen certain ways.
For instance, Weiner told MSNBC that photos ”can” be manipulated (not that this one WAS manipulated).
Weiner also told MSNBC that such a manipulated photo ”could” be hacked into his Twitter account (not that it WAS hacked into the account).
Sort of a legaleze, non-denial, denial.
Weiner has not and says he will not ask the incident be investigated by the agency that really could get to the bottom of it.
Weird.
Didn’t some Republican resign over a mere shirtless photo online?

if this is true, the scumbag will get off scott free. He is a liberal, and they do protect their own, no matter what type of devient behavior they engage in. We never liked him, my wife always said he was “wierd even for a liberal.”
