Reuters:

The chairman of the House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee said al Qaeda appears to be behind a threat that has prompted several U.S. embassies to close on Sunday.

“It’s my understanding that it is al Qaeda linked … and the threat emanates in the Middle East and in Central Asia,” Representative Ed Royce said Friday on CNN’s “New Day” program.

Royce, a Republican, said he and several other lawmakers met two days ago with Vice President Joe Biden on the threat, “and as you know we’re going to take whatever steps necessary to protect our personnel overseas. When we do have an indication of a threat, we take that seriously.

I am reminded of the old SNL “Liar” character.

“No, no, al Qeaeda’s not back, we’re just, uh, sending all those embassy staff on summer vacation. Yeah, that’s it! …to celebrate Obama’s Birthday, and as part of the celebrations, we’re gonna have a big firework show going off in all those US complexes, so the locals can see what Obama’s America is all about! Yeah, that’s the ticket!”

Al Qaeda has threatened all embassies of the USA in many counrties.
Why and how did we provoke them in Muslim countries all over the world?
Why did we provoke al Qaeda and other Muslims in Benghazi?
Because Obama’s gay-friendly hiring policy was more important to him than the lives of our people.

It is the policy of the Federal Government to treat all of its employees with dignity and respect and to provide a workplace that is free from discrimination whether that discrimination is based on race, color, religion, sex (including gender identity or pregnancy), national origin, disability, political affiliation, marital status, membership in an employee organization, age, sexual orientation, or other non-merit factors.

This form is available to any foreign person who desires a job at one of our foreign embassies.
How could a devout Muslim fail to notice the fact that the USA might hire someone his religion punishes to work along side him?
How could he not share that fact at his Mosque?
This fact is probably better known about in Islamic countries than it is in the USA!
As if they needed yet another reason to hate us!

@Nan G, it has been against EEOC federal regulations to discriminate hiring practices based on sexual orientation long before Obama.

On pg 3 of a May 2010 document from the OPM, they trace prohibition against sexual orientation in hiring for federal positions, back to August of 1969, via Nixon’s EO 11478, “Equal employment opportunity in the Federal Government”. It’s been amended four times since then… in 1971, 1978, 1998, and 2000.

This is the original text of the Nixon 1969 EO. It was further clarified to include language specific to sexual orientation in Clinton’s EO# 13152 on May 2000, amending Nixon’s EO.

Needless to say, this has been a federal practice prior even to the Sept 11 attacks, and long before Obama was active in any part of federal government. Ergo, it could hardly be a new “reason to hate us”, and most certainly cannot be attributed to the Obama admin.

Surely you are not advocating the current administration appease Islamist hypersensitivity, and violate EEOC regulations by leaving out EEOC advertisement language INRE particular discriminatory practices as it relates to sexual orientation?

Too late, Mata.
Soon after the attacks in Cairo and Benghazi the State Dept DID remove that language!
Too bad they put it in while looking for native security people in Islamic lands.
I see no problem with such language used on forms inside the USA.
But’ apparently Hillary ADDED it on forms to be used worldwide.
Not the brightest move.
See Russia on gays lately?
Nigeria?
The progress gays have made are only secure in Israel and the USA.

“Hillary” did not add it, Nan G. It’s always been advertised as part of EEOC regulations. Doesn’t matter where it’s located. Federal regulations about discriminatory hiring do not stop at the nation’s shorelines, north and southern boundaries.

Nor has it been removed. i.e. an ad for position as 28C Security Investigator Supervisor at Cairo Embassy, second to last paragraph. Or this ad for varied positions at the Embassy in Manila. Here’s an ad for an electrician at the US Embassy in Tripoli. The EEOC disclosure language is there… as they are on the other positions in Tripoli. Here’s one for a procurement clerk at the Yemeni Embassy. Yup.. it’s there. Damascus would have it as well, save there are no openings there for obvious reasons.

In fact, here’s the links to all the US embassy websites. Pick an embassy, go to their employment opportunities and read for yourself.

Don’t know where you read EEOC language deliberately being removed to appease Islamists, but it appears your source is wrong according to job openings at the Embassy websites themselves.

Again, this has nothing to do with Obama or Hillary. It’s standard and required disclosures for federal hiring and has been pre Obama’s ascendance.

@Nan G Nan says : Gay friendly hiring practice. Pro Islamist
Admin. Rid us of Blacks and solve crime.
Nan You’ll be happy in Utah.

Mata Thanks for keeping it honest. As always Semper Fi

@Richard Wheeler:
Gays are more open and normal here than they were in CA, RW.
And blacks are here, too although they are fewer in absolute numbers and many are actual Africans married to LDS missionaries and moved here to raise their families.
We have a Kenyan/white family in our complex.
The three kids are fun to watch play together.
The oldest is also in a Little League baseball group.
