Conn Carroll @ Washington Examiner:
One month ago at the Republican National Convention, Saratoga Springs Mayor Mia Love wowed conservatives across the country with a pitch perfect speech explaining what America means to her and her family:
Let me tell you about the America I know. My parents immigrated to the U.S. believing that the America they had heard about really did exist. When times got tough they did not look to Washington, they looked within. So, the America I came to know was centered in personal responsibility and filled with the American dream.
…
We know that the American dream is not just my story, and it is not just your story, it is our story. It is a story of human struggle – of standing up and striving for more. It’s been told for over 200 years with small steps and giant leaps: from a woman on a bus to a man with a dream; from the bravery of the greatest generation to the entrepreneurs of today. This is our story – this is the America we know because we built it.At the time, Love was down by 15 points to six-term incumbent Rep. Jim Matheson, D-Utah, 53-38. That lead is now gone.
According to a new Public Opinion Strategies poll, Love is now beating Matheson 51-36. And Democrats are not taking Love’s blooming well.
The leftist magazine Mother Jones is now attacking Love as an “anchor baby” and police are investigating a packet of racist pictures sent to Love’s mayoral office.
Huh?
I thought Dems LOVE ”anchor babies!”
But, hey, if they want to start deporting their parents…..
Wow!
Funny how all of the minority things dems supposed LOVE they turn on if one of those minorities goes ”off the reservation,” ”out of the closet,” ”out of the fields and into the houses” or ”out of the kitchen.”
What Dems really hate are people, all people who think for themselves.
Why is it that the left reserves the most vile and nasty of attacks for those conservatives and Republicans that do not fit the picture the left has so carefully and forcefully tried to paint of the GOP?
If Ms. Love lived in my district in Indiana, I’d vote for her in a heartbeat. And it has nothing to do with her looks, race, gender, etc. She is simply the epitome of what I see as the hope for the future of our country in politics.
MIA LOVE
SHE CARRY A NAME FOR ALL THAT IS GOOD FOR AMERICA,
AND SHE SPEAK FACTS AND REALITY. NO UNICORN FOR HER
GO MIA LOVE, GO GET THEM, YOU DESERVE THE POWER TO LEAD THE GOOD PEOPLE INTO THE FUTURE.
They hate her because she is beautiful, intelligent, well spoken, and has the power to reason. When you compare her to Clinton, Pelosi, Waters, Boxer, and Feinstein; she will be a force in national politics before long. Good luck to you Mia.
@NanG #1 – Your first two lines made me laugh just the way you said that – you are funny…AND just how pathetic is the Left – ??!
They are becoming so transparent the more they whine, spin, Lie and talk. Ugh!
I say to Mia – you go girl!
