Ace:
MSNBC panelists on Monday seemed puzzled by the president’s refusal to visit the U.S.-Mexico border while he fundraises in Texas, with USA Today reporter Susan Page calling the decision Mr. Obama’s “Katrina moment.”Appearing on “The Daily Rundown,” Carolyn Ryan of The New York Times argued that the crisis on the border, in which thousands of immigrants are crossing illegally in record numbers, goes to question the president’s competence…
[Chuck] Todd said the administration has been “defiant” in refusing to visit the border while the president attends a fundraiser in Texas on Wednesday.
“It’s a Katrina moment, right?” Ms. Page asked. “And you’re going to a fundraiser and not going to the border where there’s this crisis?”
Meanwhile, Breitbart has published a leaked DHS memo that states that part of the reason for the border surge is the widespread knowledge that Obama has stopped deporting people.
This goes beyond a “Katrina moment” as Bush did not create the conditions that caused and steered the hurricane.
My “worst case scenario” analysis is: This is the biggest political game of “chicken” that a president has every played on the nation. Obama has handcuffed America to the steering wheel and stepped on the gas like a gleeful, suicidal maniac. Rome is burning and Nero is laughing, golfing and attending fundraisers. Whichever way this ends, it is likely to end in the destruction of one party or the other.
If it’s amnesty, it will be the death of the Republican party. What;s more, our economy and system of government will eventually crash like the Roman Empire, as there will be no opposition party to stand in the way of tax and spend leftists. Should this happen, the Washington DC progressives will likely try to enact a full socialist central government regime, but that would without a doubt cause this nation to erupt in civil war. (However, should Obama’s “open borders” result in terrorists crossing the border and attacking America before that, the Democratic party will also be toast.)
If it results in public rage at Obama (and the Democrats) for creating this crisis, tied with his “catch and release” program of not deporting, but releasing violent criminal illegal immigrants and thugs loose on society, (with the full blessing of Harry Reid and the rest of his party leadership,) it will likely be the final straw that breaks the voters backs, a fiasco that will haunt and likely destroy the Democratic party. If Republicans then try to stupidly pass amnesty over public anger to the lawlessness of Obama’s handling of this, they could still destroy the Republican party.
The November elections will signal the likelihood of which direction this nation will head. Either way, if progressives of either party reign in full control of Congress, it’s going to get deadly serious and possibly bloody.
Now you know why there’s martial law at the detention sites
Gosk: The pressure on them just where they live and the violence they see every day is a very real part of their lives. And it is something that a lot of them talk about when they talk about reasons they are leaving. But the reasons are more complex than that as well. There has been for about a year now, this idea of flirting around places like Honduras, that when young people, when they arrive to the U.S., mothers of children when they arrive, that they are going to be allowed to stay. There was a director of one of the groups here who said that a lot of women believed if they could just show up at the border, the official border crossing and they would be allowed to stay. So there are a lot of reasons pushing people out the door here in Honduras.
Mitchell: Stephanie, it seems to have exploded this crisis with very little warning. Has the gang violence in Honduras, have the drug cartels become that much more violent recently? What’s been the precipitating factor?
Gosk: Well, the violence really has been increasing over the last five or six years. There hasn’t been a real spike in violence to explain this surge of immigrants entirely. And that’s why I add this idea that we spoke with — and this director of this particular center dedicated to kind of lead patriots, these women and children that are deported from Mexico before they make it to the U.S. And she said that it really was, in her words was a misinterpretation of immigration reform language coming out of Washington that started some of the rumors. Combined with that, you have the very real fact that there are Honduran minors who have made it to the U.S. after this treacherous journey and, by law, they stay until their deportation process is completed. And that could mean months and in some cases with backlogs, that could even mean years. So it’s going to look like to kids back there that they made it. And the kids we talk to say it’s worth the risk of this journey, which is incredibly treacherous, where they face bandits and drug cartels and just thieves to get to the border and try their chances in the U.S., even facing possible deportation.

Perhaps President Phone and Pen didn’t send a personal invitation to these illegals, but he darn sure signaled for them to “Come on up to America.”
I have been saying for weeks that we are seeing the start of a crisis that is going to be overwhelming. The potential for a health crisis all across our nation is growing daily. The cost is going to be insurmountable. In in the time frame it takes for the impending crisis to really surface, Obama will be long gone and the Democrats will be blaming it on someone else. Already the Democrats are claiming it is Bush’s fault because of HR 7311, but even that is dishonest spin.
The Camp of The Saints being acted out on our TV screens is now no longer just a play.
Henry Ceullar (sp?) DEM-Texas said the same thing.
But it gets worse than that for Obama.
See, when Bush didn’t do more than fly over the damage from Katrina he was looking at a need for disaster relief that was NOT a federal responsibility.
The feds could and did help.
But it was a state issue.
Katrina was a disaster Bush did NOT cause.
Katrina was a disaster that was not preventable, either.
People could get out of the way.
Too bad the chocolate mayor let all those buses sit while he waited for air conditioned ones from out of state.
Obama might recall all the times he has stood in the way of states that try to help with immigration issues.
He relied on this part of the Constitution:
Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution gives the Congress power: “To establish a uniform rule of naturalization…”
But now Obama forgets this part of the same Constitution:
Article II, Section 3 says of the president, “he shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed…”
Obama signed an executive order in June of 2012 that the U.S. would not pursue children for deportation.

Gee.
Dog whistle much?
Obama prepared for this ”crisis” that HE CAUSED when, in January, he got a contract request out asking for companies to bid on transporting and housing children to the lower 48 states from the border!
