In politics, timing is everything. President Trump’s is impeccable. Former Trump White House chief of staff John F. Kelly’s is pathetically transparent.
Here’s the headline the New York Times affixed to the interview of Kelly it published yesterday:
“As Election Nears, Kelly Warns Trump Would Rule Like a Dictator…John Kelly, the Trump White House’s longest-serving chief of staff, said that he believed that Donald Trump met the definition of a fascist.”
Here’s the link. Since it’s paywalled, I didn’t get beyond the headline. Plus, I didn’t have to. It’s trending in X and conservative radio as I write. Dana Loesch had a fantastic response on her show.
I published an account of General Kelly’s anti-Trump attacks a year ago. They’re not news. The NYT and a swarm of other sellout media orgs know that, but they’re in full panic mode. It’s late October. And Trump, after his McDonald’s event, has supersized his reelection momentum. The Trump-fearing media needed a pushback piece. Kelly’s tired lies about Trump are all they could muster.
But why Kelly and why now? What has got a former Marine four-star so spooked?
I think it’s because Kelly and a hefty group of his fellow deep staters fear a fulsome Trump investigation of their moves against him during his first term. Treason is a capital offense, and I think Kelly has a soldier’s sense of what he’s facing.
The sellout media knows what they’re up against, as well. And so we get this clumsy, easily refuted excuse for reporting.
Too bad for them. We know what we’re up against, too.
Here’s my reporting on the Kelly-Trump history from my book The Case To Impeach and Imprison Joe Biden, which came out on Amazon in December 2023.
“The ugly human rights/national security crisis along our Southern Border, being that it is now overrun by drug smugglers and human traffickers, can be traced directly back to Barack Obama, Joe Biden, General John F. Kelly, and Honduran Presidents Porfirio Lobo and Orlando Hernandez.
“Of that group, Kelly’s role in this dark chapter of our history is most baffling. As the general officer leading the Department of Defense’s Southern Command from 2012 through 2016, his job was to protect Americans and American interests.
“Full stop.
“But instead, he spent most of those years partnering with Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández, a man he knew was enabling cartels to smuggle tons of cocaine into the United States.
“And what happened to this general officer who looked the other way for the ObamaBiden administration’s cartel pals? He was promoted into the job of secretary of the Department of Homeland Security in President Trump’s administration.
“All I can say is if the Deep State wanted to dump Trump, persuading him to hire Kelly as his secretary of Homeland Security and then shortly afterwards as his White House chief of staff was one of many ways they tried to do it.”
I now believe that’s what happened—that Kelly was an integral part of a Deep State Pentagon op against Trump, put in place from the outset of his administration. And I believe it was one of many Deep State ops Team Obama and their Democratic allies set up.
Here’s how and why it ended for Kelly in 2018, also from my book.
“The way I see it, the Kelly-Hernández collaboration ended with the run-up to the 2018 midterms when Hernández allowed/organized highly publicized caravans of migrants (paid for by Alliance for Prosperity money?) to travel to the Southern Border to leverage the Democrats’ wedge issue of Trump’s hardline immigration policies…And it was Trump’s DEA who finally arrested Tony Hernández…The timing of his arrest was significant—it was mere weeks after the Democrats regained control of the House of Representatives, in part by attacking President Trump’s stance on immigration, building the wall, and threatening Northern Triangle countries with the loss of assistance for allowing migrant caravans to breach the border. It was also just about a week before Trump publicly stated his dissatisfaction with General Kelly as his chief of staff. The investigation into the Hernández brothers had begun in the Obama years, but it was Trump who pulled the trigger on Tony’s arrest.”
Aiding and abetting the enemy is treason. That’s why Kelly did with the cartels, and Trump knows it.
In the years since, Kelly has impugned Trump on several occasions. Trump punched right back. At one point on Truth Social he said of Kelly: “John Kelly pretended to be a ‘tough guy,’ but was actually weak and ineffective, born with a VERY small ‘brain.’”
But now, with a Trump return to the White House on the horizon, Kelly’s role in the Vindman op is just waiting to be unmasked. Here’s what I have written about the Vindmans, Alexander and Yevgeny, in my soon-to-be-released book An Almost Insurmountable Evil:
“The brothers, who both worked in the NSC, located in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building next to the White House (my old worksite) conferred regularly. Was that why Alexander Vindman was transferred to the NSC from the Pentagon in 2018, so he could cover for the Biden crimes he knew existed in Ukraine as he acted on his brother’s legal advice? Think about that. There were two anti-Trump, experts on Ukraine, twin brothers, one of whom is a lawyer, the other vastly knowledgeable about potential Biden crimes, working in Trump’s White House to cover for Joe. Seems like a Deep State op to me. How about you?”
And who was the White House chief of staff when the Pentagon transferred Alexander Vindman, the former area officer for Ukraine and Russia, into the National Security Council to set up their Deep State op?
Former Marine, four-star General John F. Kelly, who led Southern Command from 2012 through 2016.
Think he would have known through his insider sources what the Bidens had been up to in Ukraine and who was covering for it? I do. Alexander Vindman’s name would certainly be on that list. The Vindmans were an op from the get-go. Kelly was in on it.
Oh, and by the way, his brother, creepy out-of-towner Yevgeny Vindman, is running for Congress in Virginia’s 7th Congressional District against hometown hero and former Green Beret Derrick Anderson. Like Kamala, Yevgeny Vindman is also losing momentum.
Think the Deep State is panicking? They sure are.
Stupidly following an inexperienced leader full speed into a battle with battle-hardened fighters is how Custer’s men were wiped out. They thought they were in for an easy skirmish over a lightly defended target. They had vastly underestimated the size and determination of their opponents.
That’s exactly the situation the Democrats and their Deep State partners find themselves in. And now they’re realizing the numerical strength and dedication of their MAGA-MAHA opponents. They know time is running out.
Elections have consequences. This one certainly will.
Kelly was another failed, political general. There seems to be a lot of those these days.
