But Biden’s really the one who’s in charge of “his” government, right?
Nursing Home Joe is totally calling the shots, right?
Nursing Home Joe was already having a difficult time slurring his way through his remarks in Hanoi.
I am not sure that President Biden is still possessed of a guard he can drop. But if his recent performance in Hanoi is any indication, he does seem to be confused about the time of day. “Good evening, everyone. It is evening, isn’t it? This around the world in five days is interesting. Well, one of my staff members said, ‘Remember the famous song, Good Morning, Vietnam?’ Well, good evening, Vietnam.”It was a feeble effort to make a joke, emphasis on “feeble.” The president’s increasingly wary aides took the hint. They had been holding their collective breath as he rambled on. “Lying dog-faced pony solider,” “John Wayne,” “my brother,” “climate change,” “worse than nuclear war.”
“We talked about stability,” Biden slurred, “we talked about the Third World, excuse me, the Third World, the uh, uh the Southern Hemisphere has access to change…”
This wasn’t going well. You can’t talk about “the Third World” in polite company anymore. Suddenly, Biden’s mic was cut and the dulcet tones of his press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre intervened: “Thank you everybody. This ends the press conference. Thanks everyone.” Unaware of what happened, Biden maundered on for a few seconds. Then, like Nietzsche’s Last Man, he gazed vacantly about him and blinked. Then he shuffled slowly off stage and disappeared behind the drapery.
As Jazz Shaw points out, it is unprecedented for a president — supposedly the most powerful man in the world — to be cut off by an underling, as if he were a child being scolded by his nanny.
After the five staged questions had been answered, Biden suddenly decided to go off script and take another question and make more comments. That was a bridge too far for his handlers. In a rather shocking display that I don’t recall seeing during any other administration, Karine Jean-Pierre rushed forward, cut the President off in mid-sentence and Biden was guided away from the crowd. It was a remarkable enough event that even CNN felt compelled to cover it.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Sunday abruptly ended a news conference with President Joe Biden in Hanoi, Vietnam, at one point taking a microphone and announcing the event had concluded even as the president was still answering questions from reporters in the room.As the president was responding to shouted questions from the press, Jean-Pierre took to the microphone to announce, “Thank you everybody — this ends the press conference.” Biden remained on stage briefly following her announcement, responding to one additional question, though his full answer was inaudible….
Even the prearranged questions didn’t go very smoothly. Biden was asked to address why he uses the phrase “lying dog-faced pony soldier” and he rambled on for several minutes in a seemingly incoherent fashion. Then, after referring to the southern hemisphere as “the third world,” KJP literally had them cut off his microphone and move him offstage. One reporter gamely yelled out a question asking “Are you worried about your son being indicted?” But Biden either didn’t hear it or chose not to respond.
Biden did make one other remark as the team gave up on the effort. He told the crowd, “I’m going to bed.” If this was intended as an opportunity to demonstrate that Biden is still full of vim, vigor, and energy in the face of his collapsing poll numbers, it didn’t appear to go off very smoothly.
“I’m going to bed” is very on-brand for Nursing Home Joe.
Bought-and-paid-for Democrat propagandist Bill Kristol has never been prouder, or so the leftwing Democrat running his Twitter account claims:
From McCain's heroism as a POW to Biden's decency as president–Americans have much to be proud of. https://t.co/QDIDJC4jAn

I think Bill Kristol might have been literally gay for John McCain.
Democrats who are not being paid by Pierre Omidyar to propagandize nonstop for the Deep State Party are not so enthusiastic.
Democrat politicians are showing their frustrations with Nursing Home Joe.
Senate Democrats say President Biden’s moribund poll numbers are “concerning” and “frustrating,” but they are doubtful any messaging shift by the White House will change how voters view him before the 2024 election. They acknowledge the 80-year-old president’s biggest problem is his age, which negatively influences how many voters view his presidency and contributes to a lack of enthusiasm for his 2024 reelection campaign.
“You got to be concerned about those poll numbers, you just do,” Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.) said. “There’s plenty of time to get them back up. Whether he can or not, I just don’t know but you got to be concerned.”
One Democratic senator who requested anonymity said voters at home expressed deep apathy about Biden’s prospective reelection during constituent meetings over the August recess.
The senator said the polling data “reflect all the miscellaneous encounters I’m having all the time.”
“There’s just no enthusiasm,” the senator said. “It does pretty much come down to ‘Well, he’s done a pretty good job, but he’s just too old.'”
LOL. Who says he’s done a good job?
Democratic senators dismiss the possibility Biden will face any real competition for his party’s presidential nomination, even though many of their constituents — especially younger voters — are hungry for new faces in leadership.
Instead, Democratic lawmakers, who expect a tough fight to keep their Senate majority, are counting on Republicans nominating former President Trump for the top of their ticket, whom they view as a candidate Biden has a good chance of beating next year, despite his weak poll numbers.
Whispers about Joe Biden’s unfitness are becoming a scream. Progressive fireblob Cenk Uygur blasted Joe Biden for his “intense selfishness” in insisting on running despite being obviously unable to perform the job.
biden cannot go in front of the public anywhere without exposing himself as a national embarrassment.
