The Democratic Party’s presidential nominee Joe Biden, a man who vows to bring normalcy back to a battered nation, is unable to tell voters whether he supports a plan to destroy the American judicial system.
Of course, if Biden promises he won’t pack the courts in retaliation for the likely confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court, the sizable anti-constitutional wing of his party will be enraged. If he promises to do it, the brittle façade of “moderation” will be smashed.
Biden, who once argued that FDR’s court-packing scheme had been a great corruption of power, hasn’t been able to wave away the question. Last week, he told a local reporter that voters would find out his answer on court packing after the election. When asked whether he believed that voters “deserved” to know before they voted, he responded that, no, they did not. (These are the same Democrats, incidentally, who contend that confirmation hearings for Amy Coney Barrett should be postponed because Americans are already voting.)
All of this is an unexpected dilemma for Democrats, whose candidate seldom faces a challenging query from, well, just about anyone. Unable to wave away the controversy, liberals have decided to run with full-blown doublespeak, deliberately obfuscating, warping, and reversing the meaning of “court packing.” And most of the political media responded by asking, “Whose car are we taking?”
Another Orwellianism by Democrats at the start of Barrett’s hearing: ‘Where’s MY picture?!’ Dems dragged for shamelessly placing pics of people ‘who will lose’ healthcare in front of ACB at #SCOTUSHearing.
from another point of view.
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Amy Coney Barrett has eloquently defended herself through the Senate confirmation hearings this morning. But as Dems grew increasingly vicious, she was forced to turn to desperate measures.
After several hours of hearings, Barrett pulled out a large crucifix and held it aloft. A light shone from the heavens, and the Democrats knew they were defeated.
They shrunk back and began to hiss. “Noooo!” cried Senator Richard Blumenthal. “It burns us! Take it away!” He dove under his desk to hide from its light.
“Agggghhhh!!!” screamed Senator Cory Booker, his skin sizzling at the sight of Jesus on the cross. “I’ll get you one day, Barrett!”
“Looks like Booker’s blasting off again!” he shouted as he jumped through the wall like the Kool-Aid Man in an attempt to escape the burning.
Senator Mazie Hirono made a loud hissing noise and growled at the cross. Her head began to turn around and around like a demonic owl. Then, she vomited pea soup.
@MOS#8541: The ol Bee, CNN will be fact checking them. It wasnt pea soup it was broccoli!
I had to tune out after an hour they kept peddling their baseless fear mongering.
The Democrats dont want any Constitutional Judges they want Globalists Judges who obey the dictates of the Useless Nations
Judge Amy Comey Barrett will be the first nominee to be defeated in the subjunctive tense. It is all about what she is about to have done. She is about to have ended the Affordable Care Act. She is about to have ended Roe v Wade. She is about to have ended protection for pre-existing conditions.
Name for me any other nominee defeated on the basis of what xi might do.
ACB’s opponents are not afraid of her. They are afraid of the Constitution of the United States. Just look at the document. The document does not grant Congress the enumerated power to control health care. The document does not grant the legislature the enumerated power to surrender its law-making ability to administrative boards and commissions.
It is not a crucifix which they fear; it is the Constitution.
The Constitution is a bulwark against mob rule, for one thing. Universal democracy has led to the fall of many nations in the past: Germany, Venezuela, Cuba, the list goes on. Mob rule is bad for living things.
My goodness. The Constitution did not even prohibit slavery. That prohibition is only found in an amendment.
The Constitution does not even grant the power to make law to the Judiciary. What a terribly imperfect document, when judges cannot enact laws from the bench. How can we make progress toward a dictatorship of the proletariat without progressive judges?
And now this interesting tidbit, Amy Coney Barrett has two adopted black children from Haiti. Former associate justice ginsberg in 27 years on the bench had more than 100 clerks on her staff. Of that number, only one was black. Perhaps she was a white supremacist.
Barrett should answer each Democrat question with “You don’t deserve my answer until after I am confirmed.” I would love to see the reaction.
