The Few. The Weak. The Marines

Because everyone knows political correctness is more important than upper body strength in a Marine.

(CNSNews.com) — Females in the Marine Corps currently are not required to do even a single pull-up, and a deadline mandating that by Jan. 1, 2014, they be able to do at least 3 pull-ups as part of their training has been delayed for at least a year, the Corps quietly announced on social media.

Unlike their female counterparts, male Marines have long been required to do at least 3 pullups as part of the Physical Fitness Test (PFT). That’s the minimum requirement for males.

Female Marines are required, however, to do a flexed-arm hang from a bar, and their PFT score is calculated based upon how long they can properly hang on the bar.

Currently, “women aren’t able to make the minimum standard of three pull-ups,” Marine spokesman Capt. Eric Flanagan told CNSNews.com. Fifty-five percent of female recruits tested at the end of boot camp were unable to do three pull-ups (1 percent of male recruits also failed).

Marine officers told NPR off-the-record that, given the three-pull-ups rule, they were afraid of losing “not only new recruits, but also current female Marines who can’t pass the test.”

Gee.
With a pull-up you can save yourself from a cliff or rooftop edge.
With a long hang you can pray someone comes and saves you!
I hope our Marines don’t have to babysit these so-called Marines in any real combat situations.

What crap — but boy will those girlies be able to yell and scream and verbally insult, intimidate and belittle others — the Bolsheviks in hollyweird are already writing the scripts —

Hell — 45 years ago we had to do 5 overhand pullups three times a day just to stay in the chow line — that was in Army ROTC summer camp

The enemy within is winning (has won?) — and it does not look like anyone is even fighting back.

@Budvarakbar: The enemy within is winning (has won?) — and it does not look like anyone is even fighting back.

There’s been plenty of quiet fighting back.
That’s why our NSA program has outed over a dozen of our top Generals and Admirals.
One quite recently.
Think for a second Obama doesn’t have something on every command-level military man and woman in our service?
Just like he did his previous political opponents?
And, man, is he ever willing to bend law to take them out!

The bubble is about to break. nsa and cia will collapse faster that than a house of cards.
You have lost. The pres is looking for a safe haven once this country fails -his arab pals will take him.
By 2025 this country will be a failed state.

Maybe I am belaboring the obvious but this unprecedented firing of Generals and Admirals sounds frighteningly similar to Stalin’s purges before WWII. When the Germans attacked, it was suddenly clenched sphincter time trying to sort out ANYONE who could command anything.

One of the first thing Saddam Hussein did after becoming king was kill the generals.

For a long time I have said that there are certain things the Joint Chiefs of Staff should decide, and women in combat zones in one of them.
