SHUT IT DOWN.
Dirty cop Robert Mueller is now investigating President Trump’s tweets in a wide-ranging obstruction of justice inquiry.
What the hell does this have to do with supposed collusion between the Russians and the Trump campaign during the 2016 election?
Where is AG Sessions??
The New York Times reported:
For years, President Trump has used Twitter as his go-to public relations weapon, mounting a barrage of attacks on celebrities and then political rivals even after advisers warned he could be creating legal problems for himself.
Those concerns now turn out to be well founded. The special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, is scrutinizing tweets and negative statements from the president about Attorney General Jeff Sessions and the former F.B.I. director James B. Comey, according to three people briefed on the matter.
Several of the remarks came as Mr. Trump was also privately pressuring the men — both key witnesses in the inquiry — about the investigation, and Mr. Mueller is examining whether the actions add up to attempts to obstruct the investigation by both intimidating witnesses and pressuring senior law enforcement officials to tamp down the inquiry.
Mr. Mueller wants to question the president about the tweets. His interest in them is the latest addition to a range of presidential actions he is investigating as a possible obstruction case: private interactions with Mr. Comey, Mr. Sessions and other senior administration officials about the Russia inquiry; misleading White House statements; public attacks; and possible pardon offers to potential witnesses.
The special counsel’s investigators have told Mr. Trump’s lawyers they are examining the tweets under a wide-ranging obstruction-of-justice law beefed up after the Enron accounting scandal, according to the three people. The investigators did not explicitly say they were examining possible witness tampering, but the nature of the questions they want to ask the president, and the fact that they are scrutinizing his actions under a section of the United States Code titled “Tampering With a Witness, Victim, or an Informant,” raised concerns for his lawyers about Mr. Trump’s exposure in the investigation.
The President of the United States has full authority to fire the Director of the FBI if he wishes to do so.
President Trump is allowed to criticize James Comey if he wishes to do so, but since King Mueller is roving around with unchecked power, he believes the President should be held to account for his tweets.
@Greg:
Is confession really good for the soul? Do you feel a great weight lifted off your soul to confess it has been wrong for you to so ardently defend Obama and Hillary?
Well, those ARE the swindling, corrupt, lying criminals, so what else are we to think?
@Deplorable Me, #51:
And #2 is across the finish line, in the big race to deliver the most stunningly predictable response!
In the race to be the biggest Trump suck-up in the run up to the 2018 elections, this guy has definitely won by several lengths.
@Greg: We’re having fun now, aren’t we! But seriously, we’re all proud of you for confronting your addiction.
Rueters, July 31, 2018 — Commentary: Manafort’s trial is about Putin, not tax evasion
Mueller’s strategy appears to be to establish precisely what happened in court. If that’s done clearly enough, it should be easy enough for people to figure out what it means.
@Greg: Explain to me again what this has to do with Trump? Looks like Mueller failed to effectively extort an inquisition-style confession or false accusations against Trump. Now there’s a trial and the judge had mandated it be a trial and not a diatribe against Trump… since it is totally unrelated to Trump and Mueller has been totally unable to MAKE it related to Trump.
This is mainly because there is no collusion and there never was. Mueller has had to extort confessions with threats from suspects because there is no evidence in existence against Trump. Those who questioned General Flynn admitted he never lied, yet he had to confess to perjury to avoid bankruptcy and further attacks on his son.
That’s really honorable. Something to really be proud of and get behind in support.
You’ve got an unbiased judge presiding. It is highly likely, under the light of true justice Mueller is going to fail and embarrass himself. Then what?
@Deplorable Me, #55:
I believe it’s Robert Mueller’s intention to prove in court that Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign manager has a very long history as a highly paid agent of the Russian government, and that this relationship was not merely incidental but central to his involvement with the campaign. I think Mueller intends this to be an initial step in establishing the existence of a conspiracy. I think it’s significant that Trump Jr, Jared Kushner, and Paul Manafort all attended the secret Trump Tower meeting. (This was only one of 82 suspicious, unreported contacts between Trump campaign figures and suspected Russian players.)
Nothing Mueller is doing is unrelated to the matter he was assigned to investigate when he was appointed Special Counsel. His intention is to connect all of the dots with hard evidence.
Mueller is repeating a well known pattern he is known for entirely snitch cases. depending entirely on the quality of snitches, the Hells Angels, the anthrax investigation, his choice of Weissmann whos cases get over-turned time after time the truth plays no role in Weissmann’s quests. Respect for the rule of law, simple decency and following the facts do not appear in Weissmann’s playbook. This will all under a microscope and they best play by the rules. Other than that let the chips fall.
8 years ago Rod Rosenstein exonerated Paul Manafort of the same charges he is facing today.
@Greg:
There you go. Now it’s accurate. Trump fired Manafort as soon as he found out about his Ukrainian connections. Now, if the FBI didn’t know about all these allegations they are trying him until after 9 months of investigations, how was Trump supposed to have known about it?
Mueller has NOTHING related to the original mission he was charged with. NOTHING. That’s why extorting a confession out of General Manafort and publicized FBI raids on homes and offices of cooperating suspects was necessary. That’s also why he had to throw Manafort in solitary confinement on an indictment. He desperately needed the headlines. His “investigation” has been all hat and no cattle; he has failed completely and he needs a big splash with Manafort to survive. Of course, it’s the “trial of the century” on CNN and MSNBC, but it is an open admission that there is nothing and never was anything Russian related in the Trump campaign or any Trump associates.
If you want collusion, turn your attention to Hillary and her paying agents to get dirt from the Russians. Then check out the “investigators” in the FBI that took a bunch of unsubstantiated lies from Russians and spied on innocent Americans on that basis. ALWAYS check Democrats for what they are accusing Republicans of; you will find TRUE guilt every time. Russian collusion is no different.
Obama turned the FBI into a part of Hillary’s campaign and stained their integrity forever. But, that’s what Obama does… ruin.
Washington Times, August 1, 2018 — Trump to Sessions: Stop the Mueller investigation ‘right now’
I’m afraid the probe isn’t what’s disgraceful. The lies are beginning to wear thin, and some eyes long closed are finally beginning to open.
Here’s Shepard Smith on FOX News just a few minutes ago, plainly stating truths that the White House continues to deny. Listen closely to what Smith is saying. It’s all entirely factual. The truth can only be held back with lies for so long. At some point, the dam is going to break. We’re not a nation that will tolerate lies forever.
@Greg: It’s not that it should be ended; it has already ended itself. After all the illegal surveillance, spying, wire tapping, false accusations and Mueller’s year and a half of probing, they’ve not found a single solitary HINT of collusion or obstruction… well, not by Republicans or Trump, anyway. Lots by Democrats, but of course, that is ignored as there are no Democrats Mueller and the left want to depose.
I wonder how Mueller is going to perform when he runs into a Judge that does not share the bias he and his team do. Not too well, so far. Apparently, Mueller thought he was going to try this case in front of CNN, not the Justice System.
Open your eyes.
@Greg: Jeff Bezos pays 250 million for WaPo then gets 600 million?
We strongly urge the Washington Post to be fully candid with its readers about the fact that the newspaper’s new owner, Jeff Bezos, is the founder and CEO of Amazon which recently landed a $600 million contract with the CIA. Then WaPo writes an article how 76 % of Donalds speech were lies. Most of the article has already been debunked by actually fact checking the liars at WaPo. You dude are being lied to but it fits your prejudice so you repeat it.
Go to You Tube and watch Farmland then ask yourself why Obama would praise the new S. African regime.
@Greg: That guy is talking about Obama. That was EXACTLY the conditions during that regime. He held rallies, replete with Soviet-style propaganda posters, where his sycophantic followers swooned. Obama said 1.5% growth was a booming economy, high unemployment, low labor participation and part time jobs was the new “normal” and the sheep believed it. He ran guns to Mexico, said he didn’t and the faithful swallowed it. He said he had shovel ready jobs and a billion dollars would keep unemployment below 7.9%, and when it hit 10.2%, they never questioned it. When they lost their doctors and insurance, though promised they’d keep them, a few opened their eyes but most just ate it up. When Obama was caught lying about a video causing the Benghazi sacking, no liberals cared. When Obama was caught red-handed using the IRS as a left wing political weapon, liberals thought that was wonderful, as long as it wasn’t used on them.
Apparently, you don’t know a “personality cult” when you see one. So, don’t try to lecture those who DO recognize a bunch of lap-dog, propaganda-lapping mindless sycophantic, willfully ignorant fools about “cults”. We just got rid of one.
@Deplorable me: Steve Schmidt head strategist of multiple failed campaigns, so glad he became a democrat.
@kitt, #63:
The intelligence community contracted Amazon to build a highly secure, on-demand, cloud-based computer service that will ultimately save them far more than the contract cost. This is not a new story:
JUL 17, 2014 — The Details About the CIA’s Deal With Amazon
I suppose it has everything needed to give Donald Trump a hissy fit—an innovative Obama-Era project that the IC considers to be a very sound investment, fulfilled by an enormously successful corporation that was founded by a hated high-tech entrepreneur that Trump could never be. Conspiracy theories were inevitable.
@Greg: If it gave Trump a hissy fit, he could nix it as the CIA is executive branch. Many people feel very uncomfortable with anyone in media too cozy with the CIA. I know you wouldnt be able to figure out why.
For 600 million I hope they get better than the Obamacare website.
I’m sure it did. Trump hates Bezos. Remember his past tantrum about Amazon and the USPS? There are a lot of things he can’t do that he’d like to do. Shutting down Mueller, for example.
@Greg: He can, he isn’t, and its driving the left-wing fringe freaks crazy.
Trump reportedly exploded at his ex-lawyer after he heard Mueller was looking into his relationship with Deutsche Bank: ‘This is bulls—!’
Did anyone really believe for a minute that Mueller wouldn’t investigate that?
(1) Deutsche Bank has already been heavily fined for complicity in a massive $10 Billion Russian money laundering operation, and has settled to the tune of $7.2 Billion for misleading investors in the sale of residential mortgage-backed securities during the run-up to the 2008 financial crisis.
(2) The same bank extended an additional loan to Trump at a favorable rate despite multiple bankruptcies, and despite having defaulted on repayment of a previous loan.
Let’s have a close look at those tax returns.
@Greg: The IRS under Obama and his get Trump team has already looked at those returns with a microscope, x-ray and Endoscopic ultrasound, if you dont think so just wipe the drool off your chin and keep dreaming the impossible dream. The FBI jumped through flaming hoops the CIA walked a tightrope blind-folded trying to frame Trump. They spied on him for years and have come up empty. He used every LEGAL loophole created by congress to avoid over paying taxes something we all do. Trumps paycheck donated again https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/onpolitics/2018/02/13/president-trump-donates-fourth-quarter-salary-infrastructure-projects/334379002/ Cut the whitehouse budget by nearly 1/2 just getting rid of Mooches bloated staff a big chunk 22 million dollars less than the Obamas sucked up. https://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/07/02/trump-cuts-white-house-budget-saves-american-taxpayer-22-million/
@kitt, #71:
There’s no evidence whatsoever that this has been done.
Routine IRS tax audits are not the same sort of review that Mueller’s team would conduct in the course of a criminal investigation. IRS auditors are only concerned with whether or not taxes due have been properly computed and paid.
@Greg: “Reportedly”… or, “Hey, this would be juicy if we reported it as a fact! F**k it, LET’S DO IT!”
AKA liberal reporting.
“there’s no evidence whatsoever” Exactly.
@Greg: You can believe in unicorn farts if you want Obama had no problems weaponizing the IRS before.
would the agents go along with it…Lois has had no penalty for doing so.
Do we yet have what kicked of the investigation?
Where are the Russians and the collusion, we havent seen anything yet except under the Hillary Clinton team.
Seems the noose is tightening on McCabe, and a few other players in the soft coup.
@kitt, #74:
An answer to that question is what Mueller moves closer to providing with every passing day. Following the money tends to be a productive and reliable approach.
Why should I take your protestations seriously? At a time when North Korea is cranking out fission bombs on an assembly line while working on a hydrogen fusion weapon, and Russia and China are becoming increasingly aggressive, you’ve elected as President a avaricious, goofball reality television host and real estate huckster who apparently requires 24/7 baby sitting to keep him from dangerous impulsive actions. Ask me if I’m angry about this. On second thought, don’t even bother, because the answer is emphatically yes.
@Greg: When was the last rocket over Japan? Putin always plays the strong man but that economy is collapsing with the sanctions.
China now there is the enemy I hope they didnt get more information from Clinton and Obamas emails other than the murder of 18 of our spies, that is a worry with Clintons and Obamas treason. Silicon Valleys conspiracy with them is also a trouble, Zuck and Jack should stop with their silencing tactics.
@kitt, #76:
When North Korean engineers had collected enough data to feel confident that their missile rocket engines and air frames were reasonably reliable. They didn’t stop their launches because Donald bought Kim an ice cream cone; they stopped because they knew what they needed to know.
@Greg:
Suuuure okay, How many investigations does Muller have to launch to get a Russian?
Seems a bit of panic has set in amongst the democrat ranks, had to send in Spartacus or is it Spaz r us? to release an email proving the future Justice didnt want to resort to racial profiling…good one future presidential candidate failure.
But lets be clear https://twitter.com/RealJamesWoods/status/1039298399680585728/photo/1
Dems are brainless.
@Greg: Remember how effective the last President was? I don’t think Trump has promised Putin to be flexible or gotten any $500,000 paydays to sell him uranium. The weak, incompetent colluder is GONE.
I believe this one investigation should suffice.
@Greg: At what point will you admit the “investigators” have been lying all along?
Friday, September 14 — Paul Manafort pleads guilty to conspiracy and obstruction and will cooperate in the Mueller investigation
This should be interesting.
@Greg: Manafort’s case “had absolutely nothing to do with the president or his victorious 2016 presidential campaign.”
“It is totally unrelated,”
PapaDs testimony before congress might be fun, wheres the IC assest Joseph Mifsud?
A man with deep Putin connections who was Trump’s campaign manager for six months knows nothing relevant to Mueller’s collusion investigation?
Get a clue. At this point there’s no shortage of them.
@Greg:
He would know more about the Podestas crimes for the same things.
Seems the DNC is hoping Misfud is dead, lol no Clinton bodybag for him.
Little chart to show it isall Clinton connected https://www.bongino.com/spygate-every-russian-and-clinton-connection-you-need-to-know/
@Greg: WHAT deep Putin connections? Don’t forget, it was Bill Clinton who met with Putin when he got that $500,000 pay out so Hillary would approve the Uranium One deal, not Manafort.
@Deplorable Bill, #86:
Are you completely unaware of who Paul Manafort was actually working for when he was paid to mount a black ops program to discredit Viktor Yanukovych’s opponent in the Ukrainian elections, and when he was subsequently lobbying on behalf of Yanukovych in Europe and the United States?
Yanukovych was Putin’s boy, 110 percent.
Former Trump aide approved ‘black ops’ to help Ukraine president
Manafort Airs Details of Ukraine Lobbying as He Pleas Guilty
@Greg: Hillary had the Putin connections and she reaped a windfall from it. She was hoping to make more cash if she won.
Somebody must be getting very nervous. This failed setup isn’t going to work, either, but it may eventually add another item to somebody’s Obstruction of Justice count.
October 30, 2018 — Special counsel asks FBI to investigate conspiracy against Mueller
@Greg: What… a conspiracy to expose facts?
Trump and his entire company of flunkies and weasels aren’t smart enough to hide the truth from Robert Mueller. Eventually the evil that people do always catches up with them, in one way or another. They only imagine that they’re immune. What we do, good or evil, always comes back on us.
@Greg: Uh… it is Mueller that doesn’t want the FISA warrants to be declassified because it exposes what a farce this whole witch hunt is.
@Deplorable Me, #92:
Or it would prematurely disclose certain subjects and topics of his investigation, which he wants witnesses and those under investigation to only be able to wonder about. I’ll stick with that possibility, since it applies to nearly every serious criminal investigation that professionals have ever conducted.
Witnesses are far less likely to perjure themselves to cover for somebody else when they don’t know what their questioners already know—especially those who are known to be guilty of something. That’s simply how things work.
@Greg:
Oh… like why the subject of the FISA warrant has never been charged with anything… that he once helped in an investigation OF Russians? That the FBI LIED to the judges and withheld exculpatory information in order to assure themselves of getting the warrant that would, eventually, allow them to spy on Trump and his campaign?
Everyone already know this.
That’s an utterly ridiculous statement. You don’t know what everyone knows. You most certainly don’t know what Robert Mueller knows, or what information is in the sealed FISA warrants.
@Greg: What is ridiculous is that YOU don’t know that everyone is aware of the farce you pin such hope upon.
It’s a “farce” that the right seems increasingly desperate to shut down, for some odd reason. No luck so far, and it’s not going to happen. Republicans are going to be fleeing from the Trump ranks like Voldemort supporters after Harry Potter sat up. (Halloween tomorrow, you know. Watch out for the kids if you’re out driving.)
@Greg:
No odd reason; it’s pretty clear. They want it shut down for the same reason it was initiated; it’s intent to damage Republican election chances. As it turns out, due to its dragging on and on, the obvious and transparent bias and the complete lack of probably cause is helping Republicans.
Let’s not forget this:
https://www.teaparty.org/police-documents-robert-mueller-investigated-allegedly-framing-right-wing-man-gun-charge-329410/?fbclid=IwAR3s2M2_DW2zOSukoRK6Ps1k0oTWMNWmIEByHM70WRUX1i_-Mh5sLxuRL9c#.W8xGIm954xE.facebook
Mueller has a history of trying to falsely incriminate and set people up as criminals, which is probably why the left and deep state wanted him.
@Deplorable Me, #98:
What should it tell any reasonable person if republicans are worried that uncovering the truth will damage their election chances?
People closely associated with Trump’s campaign and administration haven’t been convicted or pleading guilty to imaginary crimes, nor to minor crimes. Nor is what they have done or how they have conducted themselves in the past unrelated to what Mueller’s investigation is now slowly zeroing in on.
BULLSHIT. He has no such history. An effort is being made to fabricate one. This isn’t going to work on anybody outside the Trump camp. When Mueller was appointed Special Counsel, it was widely acknowledged that he was an impartial and highly competent investigator, unlikely to by influenced by anyone’s partisan agenda. The investigation is surrounded by a hurricane of contentious politics, but it isn’t itself political.
@Greg:
They’ve been pursued for crimes having nothing whatsoever to do with Trump. Like the Podesta’s and Clinton’s, those crimes could have been pursued on their own, not in some fashion that makes it appear Trump is involved with what they did ten or twelve years ago. But, that wouldn’t satisfy the political goal, would it?
I just showed you history. And, as you believe, an accusation is just as good as a conviction. Those are your rules, not mine. There are other examples of his ineptitude and political motivations as well. He is a willing participant in a political witch hunt, which is failing miserably.
