I checked my garage and low and behold I have a loop on the end of a short rope connected to my overhead garage door track that I had not noticed before. I mean, as long as it works. , right? IMHO, I think we can excuse my ignorance , as I am elderly, of the door closing/opening feature minus electricity to my garage door, but how do we explain the lack of knowledge of garage door accoutrements to someone who has spent their adult life in a garage?
