Michael Krieger:
The hits just keep on coming for ObamaCare. It was less than two weeks ago that I highlighted the potential premium rate death spiral that ObamaCare faces due to the fact that only old and sick people are signing up for the program. Now it seems there are further security related concerns plaguing the site, as cyber-security expert David Kennedy recently claimed that “gaining access to 70,000 personal records of Obamacare enrollees via HealthCare.gov took about 4 minutes.”
It’s actually hard to be this incompetent if you tried. More from the Washington Times:
The man who appeared before Congress last week to explain the security pitfalls of HealthCare.gov took to Fox News on Sunday to explain just how easy it was to penetrate the website.
Hacking expert David Kennedy told Fox’s Chris Wallace that gaining access to 70,000 personal records of Obamacare enrollees via HealthCare.gov took about 4 minutes and required nothing more than a standard browser, the Daily Caller reported.
“And 70,000 was just one of the numbers that I was able to go up to and I stopped after that,” he said. “You know, I’m sure it’s hundreds of thousands, if not more, and it was done within about a 4 minute timeframe. So, it’s just wide open.”
Just goes to show only fools and desperate people are using that site to sign up.
I read an article about a woman with a pre-existing condition who signed up at $950/month plus a large deductible.
The next week she learned she could get much better coverage with her old insurer.
One caveat: she had to cancel her ObamaCare policy first.
Think it’s hard to get covered on that site?
Try cancelling a policy!
It took her WEEKS of full-time work!
THEY SHOULD HAVE THINK FIRST OF THE SECURITY OF PEOPLE,
it show they don’t give a f… about the people,
it show that they where only focussing on something for OBAMA TO BE GAINING AND NO MATTER WHAT THE PEOPLE GET SECURE OR NOT,
do you people get it now?
HOW MUCH MORE DO YOU NEED ?
yes you have been warn many times,
As for the rollout of the Obamacare website you either believe Obama or you believe he was lying. If you are a supporter of this President then you will most likely believe him when he said he did not know there were problems with the website. That in itself sheds light on another set of problems because it shows a callous, oblivious, self centered non-caring person as President.
The website is the main portal Americans will use to access health insurance that is mandated by this administration. He is happy to have his name on it. Yet according to him, not once did he ever ask to see the beta tests or to see just what the experience the average American would be getting from this website. Never once did he sit down and ask to be shown the product prior to launch. He had time for plenty of golf, campaign style trips to give speeches, his NCAA brackets, etc. But zero time or effort on our behalf concerning this newly mandated product.
This is just another reason why I believe he does not see himself as a “public servant” which is what elected officials are supposed to be, but a master who decides what is good for the masses yet, isn’t concerned with getting down to the level of actually making anything work. He apparently has so little experience or knowledge to know what and how things works in the real world he has no interest or it’s just above his grey matter to try to learn.
He’s like your know it all neighbor. Who fails miserably the moment you test his BS in the real world.
he just wanted to shine with his name on obamacare for his legacy, and
he miserably fail on that one, as the other one,
because he dump his laws on the citizens, instead of getting approved by the people first,
if he would have made his obamacare pass with the republicans participating,
it would not have gone as far knowing all the questions from the republicans asked,
and they would have been right, now we know, he wanted the glory of him alone taking the praise,
that is a best way to fail any policy,
