Secret Service (USSS) Director Kimberly Cheatle said that she doesn’t know how many times the agency turned down the Trump campaign’s requests for more security. This comes after the agency spokesman admitted that the Trump camp had been denied previous requests leading up to the assassination attempt.
Cheatle would not directly answer how many USSS agents were there that day as well as a myriad of other questions. When asked by Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) repeatedly about “how many times” the USSS had denied requests from the Trump campaign she could not give a straight answer.

Cheatle repeatedly dodged the question and said that she “did not know the specifics” on the different instances of the USSS denying requests for additional security for the Trump campaign. There were a number of failures leading up to the Trump rally on July 13, where there was an assassination attempt on Trump by 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks.

Cheatle said that “on July 13, [USSS] failed” when it came to the mission of the agency to protect the nation’s leaders, during her opening statements.

USSS Director Cheatle testified before the House Oversight Committee. Chairman James Comer opened the hearing by honoring Corey Comperatore, the 50-year-old father and husband who was fatally shot during the assassination attempt. Comperatore had been shielding his wife and daughters when he was shot at the rally.
If you’re watching this live, you realize this is a cover up.
She’s an amazing stonewall’er.
Even dems are demanding she resign.
I think Mace summed it up. “You’re full of shit.”

Listening to the hearing, Cheatle is simply the typical Democrat government employee. She doesn’t fear losing her job. Even if she does, she’ll still get her pension. She can “accept responsibility” because she doesn’t fear accountability. Based on her responses, she is 100% confirmed to be incompetent and unfit to be director of the USSS. But, no one ever expects competence from a Democrat official.
Look at all of Robin Ware/Robert L. Peters/JRB Ware/Pedo Peter/idiot Biden’s choices. They all SUCK. Not a ONE can claim competency in their field or having performance that would not have gotten anyone else fired.
This is why the federal government is so goddamn gigantic. It takes a LOT of people, working in uncoordinated chaos, inefficiency and confusion, to get anything done. Any well-led and well-organized operation could be much, much smaller. Instead, these are agencies that do not monitor performance, efficiency, effectiveness or results. When they fail to meet the needs of the tasks, they just hire more people, which only makes the agencies more unwieldy and ineffective. Rinse, repeat.
The deep state orchestrated the Jan 6 riot. It is no less a reasonable conclusion they did this one as well.
The left’s absolute lack of transparency makes everything appear like a conspiracy. Worse, it probably all is.
Breaking. Kim Cheatle resigns.
It think she expected, like Mayorkas, Garland and every other leftist in the regime, that the Democrats would simply line up behind her. Surprisingly, this time they didn’t. While she is no more a liar or incompetent idiot than the others, she had no support and had to resign.
Yeah,
They are hoping the fallout will now be minimized. Let us hope that it is not the case.
Someone was gong to be the scape goat.
