Rudy’s Running

I’m told by two reliable sources that Rudy Giuliani intends to run for the GOP nomination for president in 2012. He may throw his hat in the ring soon.

Rudy’s theory of the race: In the fall of 2007, he decided he couldn’t compete with both Mitt Romney and John McCain in New Hampshire, and disastrously decided to try to pull back there and pitch his tent in Florida. This year, he’ll commit everything to New Hampshire, where he thinks he has a good shot at beating Romney—whom he criticized there earlier this week. He then thinks he can beat whichever more socially conservative candidate(s) is left by winning what are still likely to be winner-take-all primaries in big states like California, New York, and New Jersey.

Rudy’s message: I’m tough enough to put our fiscal house in order and to protect us from enemies abroad. The U.S. in 2012 is in bad shape—like New York in 1993. The budget crisis is as severe—and seemingly intractable—as the crime/welfare crisis was in New York then. Rudy dealt with that when people said it couldn’t be done. He’ll deal with this.

Rudy unless I am personally for abortion, but I give a firm pledge to appoint supreme court justices like scalia and alito will find out the hard way that social conservatives will simply not vote or leave off the presidential ballot than choose between two pro abortions choices. If he loses 10-20% of the base, he is toast. Not sure if this would work for him, but if he thinks he can thumb his nose at those concerned about the holocaust of over 50 million babies, he is dead wrong.

I have mixed feelings about old Rudy. Granted if I had my druthers it would have been Rudy instead of Romy for sure. But who knows right? I just heard Trump is considering on running as an independent if the GOP picks the wrong candidate. And whats wrong to Trump? Unless he will make that judgement if there is a massive outcry of dismay and outrage from the common folk on the GOP pick. But than Palin makes the remark that “maybe its time for the republicans to go the way of the Whigs.” And Palin and Trump giving each other pats on the back. A possible sit-up? Who knows in this wild and wacky race! It is one of the most interesting ones I have seen in a long time. Still waiting for the debates. That will help to weed out some right there for me at least. I still remember that feeling that my friends, wife and myself got when Ronnie begin his run. It was great! We knew he was the one.

I suggest we start a daily, “9/11” count, beginning at 0001 each day, to detail how many times Rudy says, “9/11,” and keep a running total.

Otherwise, most of the Content of his campaign rhetoric may be lost in the noise.

Abortion isn’t an issue to me. But I will never vote for a pro gun control NE RINO, not this one, not Romney, not Christie. I’ll vote for an anti American socialist like Obummer who is at least open about it before I’d vote for any of the above. A lame duck “o” with a gridlocked congress is better than a RINO with a coperative congress any day.

To me he needs to look at something else! If anything him running would not help any positive cause and only divide the vote of those who want to make change to in all eventuality help the liberals! Besides such politicians have come up in the system of “we will let the democrats have this if they let us have that!’ This has to stop! More of what got us into this mess is not going to solve it!!!
You want an explosive combination : Herman Cain for President, Lt. Col. Allen West for Vice President, and Bobby Jindal as Secretary of the State…..and even better Haley Barbour to head up the Justice Department!!!!
Change out the Guard in this election!!!!!! Put some people who are willing to reveal who their supporters are! Have track records, and the balls to get the Job done correctly, and will do so with AMERICA’S interest first and not some political agenda or the mission of the United Nations!!!!

@J V Hoffman: That would be too good to ever happen! But its nice to think about. Great selection!
