In his latest broadside against President Obama, Mitt Romney on Thursday characterized a remark by the president that “you can’t change Washington from the inside” as an acknowledgment of weakness – a charge that Obama’s campaign said was “wildly” out of context.
Appearing at a forum sponsored by the Spanish-language network Univision on the heels of Romney’s earlier appearance, Obama reflected on his inability to change the tone in Washington.
“I think that I’ve learned some lessons over the last four years, and the most important lesson I’ve learned is that you can’t change Washington from the inside, you can only change it from the outside,” Obama said. “That’s how I got elected, and that’s how the big accomplishments like health care got done – [it] was because we mobilized the American people to speak out. That’s how we were able to cut taxes for middle-class families.”
Romney, campaigning in Sarasota, said that his rival “threw in the white flag of surrender again. He said he can’t change Washington from inside, he can only change it from outside.”
“Well, we are going to give him that chance in November — he is going outside,” Romney said. “I can change Washington; I will change Washington. We will get the job done from the inside. Republicans and Democrats will come together. He can’t do it. His slogan was ‘Yes we can.’ His slogan now is ‘No, I can’t.'”
According to Drudge and Fox, Obama was given a tough time on Univision.
Some hard questions that stretched Obama beyond his planned pander.
Obama must have been reeling from the not-so-softball interview.
And good for Romney to pounce.

Awww. Po’ widda Obama didn’t get softballs. Perhaps Telemundo’s tough questions could be a sign that Obama may not be as strong in the Hispanic community as he thinks. It could be a reflection of how he has gone after the Catholic church’s position on birth control and abortion, and that they may not be buying into his vote pandering this time around.

that is what was missing in 2008, but now they come in with the tough questions,
he can’t cope with it, because he think he too big, too important, to have to answer to those.
the next thing you will know is the IRS is investigating the reporters. obama has a very thin skin. In addition since he is a narcissist, he cannot tolerate those who do not give him complete and undying adulation. He will turn very nasty and it will be on display for all to see. Narcissists can hide it for a while, but not for long. Personally I knew he was a narcissist in 2008 because I was once married to one and know all of the symptoms and behaviors, and it isn’t pretty.
