A judge has granted a temporary protective injunction against U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson after his wife filed paperwork accusing the Orlando congressman of shoving and injuring her during an incident this past weekend.

Lolita Grayson’s petition for the injunction, dated Monday, says her husband pushed her against a door, causing her to fall to the ground, during a confrontation Saturday at their home on Oak Park Road near Windermere.

In a statement, Alan Grayson’s press secretary, Lauren Doney, wrote that the allegations “are absolutely false, completely unfounded, and clearly designed to vilify and harm Congressman Grayson.”

“Congressman Grayson firmly denies Ms. Grayson’s frivolous accusations,” the statement said.

The incident comes just less than two months after Lolita Grayson filed a divorce petition stating that their marriage of nearly 24 years was “irretrievably broken.”

Asked about the incident, Orange County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Angelo Nieves said in a written response that the agency “is currently conducting a Domestic Violence investigation which is open and active at this point.”

A heavily redacted Sheriff’s Office document released Tuesday identified Lolita Grayson as the victim in the incident and listed the offense under investigation as domestic-violence battery.

move along, no story. this was an exalted democrat.

In case no one could tell before (by his actions in Congress his first go-round), Grayson is a lunatic. However, since he is a far left, lying liberal lunatic, the Democrats will continue (like the Kos writer) to support him, even if “disappointed”. He’s a liberal and that’s all that matters.

It’s all that ever mattered with Teddy, too.

Democrat war on women. Take your free contraception, abort your baby, get the hell out of the way, and vote democrat.

Is Grayson guilty? I don’t know as it’s an ongoing investigation. I’ve also made that same comment pertaining to Gov Christie on bridgegate.

It is rather telling that Dr John titles a thread “Rep. Alan Grayson(D) assaults his wife” while adamantly defending folks like Christie and other GOP accused lawbreakers. It’s as if accused conservatives are innocent until proven guilty while, uh, no wait, make that just innocent while accused Democrats are just guilty.

That’s the true mindset of today’s conservatives and is precisely why it is a very dangerous thing to allow them to govern.

@Ronald J. Ward: I appreciate your care, Ron.
The newspaper headline was long:
Wife says Alan Grayson shoved her during domestic incident
Judge issues temporary injunction after wife’s allegations against U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Orlando

It certainly was not as bad to shorten that to this headline here as what Sen. Reid did on the well of the Senate when he accused Mitt Romney of not paying any taxes for 10 years.
Or later when Sen. Reid falsely claimed that all the ObamaCare horror stories were lies.
One thing is different between these two; Sen. Reid and Dr John: one is a blogger, the other holds one of the highest elected positions in our federal government.

Of people who twist facts (Dr John shortened a headline, not twisted any facts) you wrote:
….. it is a very dangerous thing to allow them to govern.
Do you apply that standard to Sen. Reid?

@Nanny G: You childishly try to exonerate the very hypocrisy and dishonesty of the snake oil sold here by simply pointing and saying “well, uh, they do it too so take that”, or something.

We can both toss out tons of examples of dishonest jabs from politicians from any party and I think you’d agree there’s plenty to go around.

If you don’t think Dr John’s outright accusation is a twist of facts then I have no time to waste trying to expect any intelligent rebuttal from you.

What I obviously pointed out was the abject bigotry and/or profound prejudice of FA writers and supporting contributors. And no, it doesn’t have a thing to do with skin color. Your arguments simply cannot be given an iota of credence when you’re that engulfed in your hatred of anyone that doesn’t march lockstep to your mindset.

I noticed your didn’t give Grayson the benefit of the doubt.

@DrJohn: Yet you still haven’t retracted or edited the title of the thread.

@DrJohn: That’s exactly my point.

You outright lie and once your lie has been established, you continue to stand by your exposed lie. That’s about all that today’s so-called conservative party has become.

@DrJohn: Grayson hasn’t been convicted. Your title states that he did assaulted his wife.

Your admission of low standards is noted.

@Ronald J. Ward:

I noticed your didn’t give Grayson the benefit of the doubt.

Obviously, the judge didn’t either, hence the restraining order (called protective injunction in Florida) against Alan Grayson.

It’s not like it was an assault , assault.

@DrJohn: The judge hasn’t convicted him where as your statement does. You make less sense with each response which is I suppose, the only tool today’s conservatives have to defend their debunked gibberish.

@Ronald J. Ward:

The judge hasn’t convicted him where as your statement does.

No, but the judge obviously felt there was sufficient evidence against Alan Grayson to place a restraining order on him. Or do you think you can request a restraining order just any old time you want and it will be granted?

I thought you were an scholar in Constitutional law since you were bashing Nan over it.

@Ronald J. Ward: What goes around, comes around. How’s it feel?

I am not understanding WHY Mr Ward is getting his pants in a twist – It has become a FACT that Democrats (Liberals) are flat out LIARS of the stellar type… there is NO DENYING this…

Remember Congressman Joe Wilson?? He made a comment on the capital floor by shouting “You Lie” to President O’Fraud ?? And, umm… to add insult to the injury, (Joe was pressured to apologize) Even though he was RIGHT!!!

Mr Ward – If Mr Grayson is innocent of the charges (which I sincerely doubt) then I apologize in advance for calling a Liar a Liar…. or, calling it as I see it…

@Ronald J. Ward: Was Herman Cain guilty of anything? Was Romney guilty of tax evasion? Was Romney guilty of murder? Was O’Donnell guilty of tax evasion? Was Bush guilty of dodging military service?

No, no, no, no and, of course, no. Yet these and many, many other false accusations have been made by the left and claimed to be gospel.

How about how the left threatened the lives of innocent people by their false charges against Zimmerman? Come on, Ronald. Get off that cross and stop embarrassing yourself.

Grayson is a brash, rude, loudmouth idiot moron who accuses his opponents of racism, terrorism, hating health care, domestic abuse and whatever else he can imagine, having no conscience to guide him. Where there’s smoke, there is usually fire, but even if totally innocent, it would be “social justice” for Grayson to get the boot for this. Meanwhile, enjoy the nice, soft bed you liberals have made for yourselves.

@DrJohn: “If you like your teeth, you can keep your teeth. PERIOD.”

Fla. has more than it’s share of bad actors. I’d expect a Zimmerman/Grayson MMA or boxing match in the near future.

Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Fla., won’t face any charges over a fight with his estranged wife, authorities in Florida said Friday.

Officials with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said that probable cause didn’t exist to support the allegation by Grayson’s wife that he had pushed her against the front door of their home. Grayson had denied the allegation.

A judge granted Lolita Grayson a restraining order against Alan Grayson.
Alan Grayson’s attorneys released a video Wednesday that they said supported the congressman’s account.

The video shot by a staffer for the congressman shows Lolita Grayson walking from a red minivan parked in front of their home, pointing her finger and shouting. The video then cuts to the congressman and his wife arguing at the front door to the house.

I wonder if the staffer turned it off or the attorneys made that cut.
The important part is missing.
So, it is back to a ”he said, she said.”

Idon no, she filed for divorce, how come she”s still there?
he push her on the closed door, what a mistake,
of course she fel on the floor,
he should have pushed her on the open door, that same door she want to take,
and all that he had to do is let her have the door,
and buy another door,
what a cheap guy,
