Ratcliffe: James Comey “under investigation for violations of the espionage act”?…

If this were anyone except Judiciary Committee member John Ratcliffe, it would be easier to ignore…. but it’s not.  John Ratcliffe is a very tempered and deliberate voice; he has a strong reputation in DC and doesn’t speak in riddles, hype, or disingenuous terms.

During an interview with Maria Bartiromo discussing the recent comments by former FBI Director James Comey, Ratcliffe replied [Must Watch at 26:48 – prompted]:

https://youtu.be/DoN-CZA2VEo

[@31:18] “Gosh, y’ know, as I listen to that, Jim Comey is proud and wouldn’t change a thing? Really?  He’s proud that he put Peter Strzok in charge of investigating Donald Trump? The same Peter Strzok who, while he was investigating Donald Trump, promised to “f*ck” him and to “stop” him?  He’s proud of his hand-picked deputy director, Andrew McCabe who lied under oath; lied to the inspector general, and has been criminally referred for that?

And we know Jim’s proud of himself, but the inspector general found him insubordinate, and many of us believe that he either is or should beunder investigation for violating the espionage act; for recording his conversations with President Trump in the oval office, and then intentionally leaking classified information to start this investigation”…

Note: “is, or should be”.  So there’s a possibility of “is”.

Remember, Ratcliffe is one of only a handful of people who saw, and continues to see, all of the highly classified intelligence documents (fully unredacted) currently under consideration for declassification by President Trump.  Ratcliffe was also strongly considered for the U.S. Attorney General position.  This is a deliberate man.

It is soon to be very apparent that neither Holder, Lynch or Obama are in control of the DOJ any longer. This will be a very good indication for the ongoing health of the nation.

…and many of us believe that he either is or should be under investigation for violating the espionage act…

I really don’t give a rat’s rear end what he or anyone else believes. If he has neither evidence, nor a compelling argument based upon established, recognized facts, it’s just something he’s saying.

@Greg: Yes many, many more on the hill will be saying this, they want on the party boat, those following spygate have been saying it for wayyyy over a year. Who leaked those transcripts of Flynn to Wapo?
There is plenty of evidence just look at your own favorite media sources. The IG report said agents were bribed to leak.

@Greg:

If he has neither evidence, nor a compelling argument based upon established, recognized facts, it’s just something he’s saying.

Maybe he has mountains of verified proof right at his fingertips.

@Deplorable Me, #4:

Maybe he has mountains of verified proof right at his fingertips.

Sure he does. Just like diGenova has mountains of evidence supporting his b.s. assertions.

Yet there doesn’t seem to be a need for anyone to file law suits, or make payoffs, or fire people and appoint servile administrative flunkies in their places, or break laws, or defy congressional subpoenas to keep it all from coming out.

@Greg: None of the subpoenas are for the FBI leaking classified information, shove your rabbit hole.

@Greg: Or, like Schiff, Brennan, Cummings, Waters, MSNBC, CNN and all the rest did about Trump’s collusion? However, many of us (those that don’t cover our eyes and ears and look away from the unpleasant) have already heard about most of this; the only news is that there are those in law enforcement that are looking at it.

Yet there doesn’t seem to be a need for anyone to file law suits, or make payoffs, or fire people, or appoint servile administrative flunkies, or break laws, or defy congressional subpoenas to keep it all from coming out.

No, just illegally leaking of classified information, illegal spying, holding people obeying the law in contempt for refusing to BREAK the law, destroying evidence, lying to Congress or attempting a coup against the government to try and cover it all up.

One of the Trump cult’s defensive strategies these days is to spread around so much manure that it conceals the actual source of the stink. They don’t really give a damn if what they say can be proved or not. It’s not about revealing truth, it’s about concealing it. It’s all about hiding dangerous lies in a haystack of lies.

The tell here has to do with who is desperately trying to distract, to confuse, to end investigations, and to keep testimony, evidence, and conclusions already collected and plainly stated locked down by any means available, legal or not. Once that has been observed—and every effort will be made to keep you from doing so—clarity about what is actually going on sets in. The surface complexity ceases to hide the simple truth underneath.

Innocent people do not have to go to such extremes to conceal their innocence. If you’re openly breaking laws to hide the truth, it’s a fair bet that what you’re so desperately trying to hide is something much worse.

@Greg: Except for one little problem; we already KNOW Comey did the things they are investigating. He leaded sensitive information, he made secret recordings, he used the obviously false information in the dossier, he obstructed justice (at the behest of Loretta) and he lied to Congress.

So, it’s not like there is no basis in fact for this… like your beloved collusion.

None of that is known. It has only been alleged, by people who are anything but unbiased.

@Greg: Comey’s leaked memos contain sensitive information

Schiff, Comey, McCabe, Strzok, Ohr and Mueller all knew the information against Trump came from the dossier and the dossier came from Hillary

Takeaways from Comey’s testimony. LOTS of perjury

Comey doesn’t remember 245 times in Congressional testimony; lied about FISA warrant

Leaker James Comey told Congressional Hearing: “I Don’t Know” – 166 Times, “I Don’t Remember” – 71 Times, “I Don’t Recall” – 8 Times

Comey informed Congress they had reviewed all the emails on Weiner’s laptop even though he had an FBI email telling him they haven’t.

MUCH more than allegations. MUCH, MUCH more.

Every one of your sources has a pronounced right-leaning political agenda. Their credibility is dubious at best. Judicial Watch, for example, is a conservative activist group. They’ve unloaded plenty of conspiracy theory and false claims. For example, they claimed that ISIS had a training camp in Mexico; that Vince Foster was murdered by the Clintons; that the Obama DoJ had organized George Zimmerman protests; that 11 California counties had more registered voters than their populations could account for; that the Clinton Foundation supplied the money to pay for Chelsea Clinton’s wedding; that George Soros was funding caravans of illegal immigrants coming to the United States.

These are not credible sources. Some are well-known manure wagons. Some are high-volume suppliers. Some of their contributors, in my humble opinion, are borderline nuts.

Greggie Goebbels, I’m sure you are more than willing to take each one of those claims and provide links to document them, right?

Let me tell you one thing; John Ratcliffe is a very, VERY honest man, and fair. Remember all those federal attorneys that were saying they would have charged Trump with obstruction (what was it, 400 out of ten thousand former federal prosecutors?)? John Ratcliffe was a federal attorney who managed over 100 federal prosecutors that he was responsible for. I think he knows a bit more than you do with your propaganda fed opinions.

I know John Ratcliffe. Too bad you’re not as honest, and knowledgeable about the law as he is. All you are is a puppet of the left who seems to have sold his soul a long time ago. “Useful idiot” describes you well.

@Greg:

Every one of your sources has a pronounced right-leaning political agenda.

Yet you have happily accepted lies from your left wing sources. Here’s what I think: you haven’t looked at a single one of them because you don’t have the GUTS to look at them.

All of YOUR sources have cited having READILY ON HAND all the evidence needed to PROVE Trump colluded with Russians. All of YOUR sources have proven to be lying, dishonest, corrupt bastards. It’s time, Greg, to look elsewhere for what you believe. My sources are accurate and factual, as exampled by them having all the CORRECT information on collusion, Hillary’s emails, Obama’s spying and the Democrat collusion to interfere with the 2016 election.

For instance, NONE of your sources reported that the Senate Intel Committee back in February determined there was no collusion, but this comes as a total surprise to you now. You are ignorant of the facts because you only want to have people that don’t deal in facts tell you what to think.

Senator Richard Burr, head of the Senate Intelligence Committee. this past February:

“If we write a report based upon the facts that we have, then we don’t have anything that would suggest there was collusion by the Trump campaign and Russia.”

Yet the republican-led committee has just issued a subpoena to Donald Trump Jr, which strongly suggests they don’t think they have all of the pertinent facts.

@Greg:

@Greg: The facts they had after two years. No, no additional facts, only additional desperation.

Crybabies. Losers. Seditionists. Liars.

@retire05, #16:

I prefer not to spend that much time digging deeply through the right-wing lunatic asylum’s various garbage cans. Do so yourself, if you care to.

The truth is revealed! It’s so obvious. How did we miss it?

May 10, 2019 — Trump is Satan

Donald Trump is Satan. The Satan in question is perhaps the greatest literary character in the finest epic poem in the English language, John Milton’s Paradise Lost. That makes Washington Republicans the other fallen angels.

In 2016, Republicans made a deal with the devil. Like Dr Faustus, they sold their souls for power. Now they stifle their consciences, never speak ill of President Trump, hug him closely, fearing the wrath of his base. The same Lindsey Graham who in 2016 wrote, ‘If we nominate Trump, we will get destroyed … and we will deserve it,’ recently said, ‘To every Republican, if you don’t stand behind this president, we’re not going to stand behind you.’ Meanwhile, Trump skulks in the White House, mired in ‘the swamp.’

@Greg: I’m not surprised that this would be the next step in liberal delusion. Let me guess… AOC is Christ?

@Deplorable Me: Wont be long Greg will be in the huggy me jacket.

@Greg: Uh…ok.

You’re paid to deploy smoke and mirrors..and nonsense…on every article about Barr, the Mueller report, Comey, etc…

So predictable, and so ineffective.

Trump is a moderate who knew he’d have to pick one of the two parties to run in if he ever wanted to win (see Ross Perot). He chose the Repubs, mainly because they are more centrist of the two parties at present, and he got all the independent votes. That’s why he won.

Most want to see the far left and far right defeated. Trump did both.

‘To every Republican, if you don’t stand behind this president, we’re not going to stand behind you.’

The vast majority of voters are not Republican or Democrat members. The vast majority are moderate independents.

Glad you understand that Trump destroyed the majority of the right. We know that, that’s why we wanted him. He destroyed the Left even more completely.

How much do you get paid? I know you’ll never engage these questions, because you’re a coward.

How much do you get paid? I know you’ll never engage these questions, because you’re a coward.

Actually, I’m being paid by the Dartmouth College Poetry Foundation to promote the works of John Milton. They figured a Donald Trump tie in might encourage Trump supporters to begin reading his poetry. I question the logic, but who am I to turn down a paycheck?

I’d like to see a little less cowardice and a little more spine on the republican side of The Great Political Divide. I know for a fact that many of them must recognize Donald Trump for the danger that he is. Many of them once plainly stated that they did. Have they all sold their souls to the devil?

@Greg:

Actually, I’m being paid by the Dartmouth College Poetry Foundation to promote the works of John Milton.

Prove it.

Did you have your sense of humor surgically removed?
